i remember hearing this song when i was 13 and absolutely in love with it. 5 years later, it's still one of my favourite acoustic versions of a song and things i didn't notice back then, such as lyrics, now play a huge role in my life. dustin has amazing talent and a beautiful voice :)

actually i am really against religion, but i just don't care, if dustin believes in anything or not... when i talked to him in 2003 after a concert, he was such a nice guy and he really cared about the people standing in the crowd (like the other bandmembers too). they don't force anybody to believe, do they? big respect for this band .. hopefully they will be able to make music for a long time, even if i know, the old times (like the illusion of safety) won't come back..

Why do people always have to point out that Dustin or Thrice is Christian or contain christian influences like its a bad thing? Yes, Dustin is a Christian? So? I'm not religious but Thrice is one of my favorite bands. Of course his lyrics are influenced by his faith; he writes personal songs and his faith is part of his life. So there are Biblical references, but if you look at the songs and think about them, he's singing about universal feelings and emotions. He's not trying to convince you to be a Christian, he's trying to make you think about yourself from whatever your perspective is, religious or not.
