Being an evil man doesn't mean he can't have been a Christian.
If he had a church I would be a regular attendee. What I love about him most is not only his brilliant use of comedy, but the fact that, all that aside he is brilliant at passing the message of Truth in Christianity. He's brilliant!
I love all the Harry Potter books and movies and I'm an Evangelical Christian. Books are just books, likewise for the movies. He makes a good point. He is really smart, and funny as all get out.
He's wrong, not all morally correct things will be popular, therefore won't bring people to the cross, Jesus didn't do the popular thing, the apostles were not worried about how their actions would be percieved
I don't think Harry Potter is satanic. I don't like them because I think the plot is weak, the story-line is feeble, and the method is pathetic. Don't get mad at me for saying it, it's just the way I see it.
Christian comedians are usally not as funny as secular comedians. I still listen to them, but I'm just sayng, they have so many religious restrictions that they become very limited in what they can do, so they have to work extra hard at being creative--that's why I respect them. But this Brad Stine is actually a very funny Christian comedian! One of the best I have heard. It's a wonder I'm just now finding out about him.
Yes, Harry Potter is a book with magic, but it's also a book that teaches that love always wins. Guessing the book burners never tried reading them at all.
@HermioneWeasley22 My girlfriend, who is a huge Harry Potter fan, claimed that Christianity is actually prevailent int he wizarding world. Mabye Jesus was like the master of all wizards in the HP universe I have no idea. Satanic? No, blasphamous..JUST maybe. Blasphamy, blas for you, blas for everybody in the room
That's the problem. People start ignoring satan and thats when they get attacked the most. thats what satan wants us to believe. that he's not here. ignorance isnt necessarily bliss
this is a really funny clip. but the funny thing about it is the devil is telling his musicians to actually do that through a book written by aleister crowley. the author is advocating such a thing so that spirits come through the music without the hearer noticing.
"But he won't apply this reasoning to his own diatribe in his "chopsticks" bit about being fired from his gig at Pepperdine." - Incompetence is one thing, bro. Political correctness is another. ;)
It's Friday folks and so how bout a few laughs after the week? I always have enjoyed Brad Stine because he keeps things clean and incredibly funny! Enjoy!
@countrygirlnb I'm only pointing out the truth here. You are very welcome and free to enjoy Brad Stine! I'm only trying to create an awareness that this bit on playing records backwards is from Bill Hicks. It's practically the same, please give credit where it is due! Comedians work very hard on their material and it's disheartening when some hack steals their bit and claims it as their own and even twists the point for their Christian agenda. Look up Bill Hicks and you will understand.
...it's comedy and it's clean. He says what many won't dare say cause they're stuck on the strive for perfection and biblical correctness.
We are humans, and 'til you accept that, you will continue to argue like fools! Now, I'll draw some controversy here by saying that god is, in fact, imperfect (and he did admit so too)!
Think about this: if god created us in his intelligence (or "image" for those that prefer biblical correctness), is it no surprise
You guys need to stop fighting lol. Brad Stine is a christian who has a passionate love for his Savior Jesus Christ. Don't call him fake. :) Thats all. Read John 3:16. That's why brad is the way he is.
@KidaMilo89 How is making jokes about the devil against the Bible? Did he ever say he liked the devil? No. Did you even listen to the video? I believe it is also against the Bible to judge people's hearts. He was making fun of how some people use the devil as a cop-out so they don't have to take responsibility in their own lives.
Dude he's just one of those fake christians that like to whine and threat people when it comes to crap like that, im christian and i dont even do shit like that. I can separate humor from fact and offence
@KidaMilo89 Let me get this straight. You're saying that I'm a Satan believer? Well, its true that I do believe there is a devil. The Bible says so. But I'm not a devil worshiper. That would be against the Bible. And there's a difference between the two.
And really... he's a comedian, making fun of everything. Its what they do. Don't take life so seriously. :)
Is he aware that Harry Potter is about the occult? I mean, we SHOULDN'T be condoning kids reading stuff like that. On top of that, the early church did a book-burning of occultic books. So maybe find a weirder thing to knock.
@Pamathey Yeah, but keep in mind that the Ephesians were former Satanists who were burning their OWN books of magic. They weren't buying books for the sole purpose of "evangelically" burning them.
@AtarahDerek I agree that BUYING books to burn them is stupid - you're encouraging the sales of the books. At any rate, the concept of book burning is not wrong. If I recall correctly, there is even some reference to it in the Old Testament - God encouraging the Israelites to get rid of/demolish/destroy everything that related to an idol.
@Pamathey Yes, after the land had been fully claimed for God. It's not, however, to be used as an evangelism tool. Shaking chains over your head in anger and trying to break them is more likely to scare a slave away than draw him to you. Especially if he doesn't realize he's a slave.
@AtarahDerek I don't know, I wouldn't limit God's ability to use various weird evangelism/teaching tools. Check out some of the things God had his prophets do ... very weird things. Walking around naked? Laying on their side for months and months? Building clay models of cities and besieging them? (cont.)
@AtarahDerek (cont.) There are a lot of people in the Bible that would look like LOONIES if you didn't know that the Lord instructed them to do those things, for whatever purpose. So doing those seemingly crazy things might be JUST what catches the attention of the sinner and be what the Lord chooses to use to draw them to him. Sometimes people need a demonstration, which is the physical version of a parable.
Actually, in reaction to the backwards masking rumors, real backmasking was developed, which can now be proven with simple technologies available to everyone. Download Audacity, use the reverse function and you can find alot of the stuff. "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Revolution 9" are relatively easy ones to find. These were of course strategies for selling records by making them edgy and controversial, not actual messages from Satan - let's not be ridiculous. But let's admit the facts.
Ok well, I think that God is in control and that He is everywhere. Also I think that Satan was the highest angle who wanted to be higher than God, so God cast him out of heaven, when Satan took one third of the angles, who all turned into demons. But because Lucifer (Satan) became sinful He cannot be omnipresent or omnicient. And all that I have just said is straight from what I believe to be the truth, The Bible. By the way I am a Christian, are you?
Just curious friend (and I am not anti-Jesus or anti-Bible), but you said you got your information from the Bible... Well, the Bible nowhere says that Lucifer is Satan's name. Nor does it say that he can't be omnipresent because he's sinful. The scripture verse about Lucifer is about the Babylonian King, not the devil. Much of what you stated comes from church tradition, not the Bible. I'm not saying you are wrong on every point, but it just goes to show how tradition influences us.
Isaiah 14:12 does not state that Lucifer is Satan's name. The context speaks explicitly concerning Nebuchadnezzar. The comparison of a monarch with the sun, or the other heavenly bodies, is common in the Scriptures. The concept of Satan being "Lucifer" was invented in later centuries by some of the early Church fathers, but has no warrant in Scripture. Again, this is not a big deal worth arguing over, but it just goes to show how our traditions often influence, right or wrong. No offense.
Another example of this kind of poetic language is a passage like Zechariah 11:2, which says, "Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down." Believe it or not, the passage is not talking about trees. Jerusalem and the Temple is likened unto Lebanon and its trees and the priests, princes and people likened unto the title of firs, cypresses and oaks.
Have I read the entire bible? Not sure what your angle is, but yes, I have. That having been said, I also spent 30 years of my life listening mostly to what preachers think those various texts mean rather than trusting the voice of the Spirit and doing my own research in the original languages of Scripture and history. The last 10 years I've experienced the Lord leading me away from so many "religious" voices, while I continue on a fresh path of discovering truth and relationship with Christ.
The question is does it matter? I mean that's so trivial, man. The existence of Satan doesn't even matter for that fact. Only the existence of God and His plan. That's all that matters, because that's all that'll take effect. :) And that's good news.
Of course it matters! If I've got satan in my poopy-hole then maybe I should get a colonic, but if jesus is in there too then maybe I should send in a cracker or something, he might get hungry!
Kid, he's GOD. God doesn't eat, and neither does Satan. They're spirits. Spirits don't get hungry. And they don't have any power over you! Why? God respects all your decisions and Satan can't lead you to sin unless you decide for yourself to sin. It's THAT simple. LISTEN to what Brad's saying. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)
What does Job's "roaming around the earth" mean to you? Satan is not a being bound to the natural laws of the universe. According to Biblical logic, he is everywhere sin goes, only that he manifests himself in certain situations. Principally, he miht as well be his own legio of demons. Satan as sin makes him omnipresent, just like the omnipresence of truth.
The triuth taht most people do not want to realize is that Satan has no real grip in our desicions. In the book of Job, he never had any power over Job's thinking or faith. Sure, he made everything upside-down, but it was Job's decision that decided the fate of the day, not the Devil. This is the first key element of our inheritence from God. Our free human will. No one should offend that by becomeing slaves of their own paranoia.
Satan is the accuser, this role is seen in the Book of Job. He accuses the saints and the sinners, but of course he has no more power over the believer as we now have an advocate for ourselves in the person of Christ Jesus.
I love the Harry Potter books and some people are just crazy about saying Satan's in them. And he's in the record too saying "You're doing it wrong." Common sense people. Anyone who believe's Satan is anywhere but Hell is a moron.
Technically, Satan doesn't stay in Hell. He goes around like he always has since the Old Testament. He was there at the crucifixion, he was there at the Book of Job. And he was there at the time Jesus went to 40 days and nights in the desert.
If you are not looking out for the devil in your life then you are not being alert and "sober". The task at hand is to defeat the devil and sin in our life and to help others do the same, you cannot do that if you are not focused on what satan is doing in this world.
We of course realize that even satan is merely a tool fulfilling the will of YHWH whether he realize it or not but that does not mean that we are to forget about him.
Remember that the root of all evil is the decision of man to do evil. Satan (if he is real) merely presents to him the possibility which would inevitably come to him because of his sentience. Calamities and death and sickness are of natural cause (they are bound to God's laws of the universe), while the abuses of man are merely his decision. The first parents? They were in full power to decide. If they failed, it was their own, no one else's.
Nique, was satan not there to lead the first parents into error and sin?
The adversary will not only ruin your life but will lead us to hell. He knows that is where he is going and that his time is short. He wants to bring down as many people with him as he can.
Lead? A person can only lead you if you allow him. But then again we have to take into consideration that the Fall of Man was a symbolic story of man's sentience. The deciever could in fact be man's own wicked curiosity and pride, along with all the other aspects that distance him from God, or in a non-spiritual sense, earn his humanity. I tell you, whether or not Satan was there could not prevent Adam and Eve from eating of the Tree of Knowledge. They were human, so it was meant to happen.
Dear NiqueJb, Yes they were human, but, they were created perfect, then Satan came and tempted them, which made them fall into sin. Am I right WorshipInTruth?
It was still their decision. And perfect does not mean sinless, but being that which you were destined to become. Even without Satan's temptatin, there is still the curiosity of a human being. They were still prone to seeking knowledge. If you look at the big picture, this was not Satan's doing, but man's destiny.
This is correct nique, satan is not in hell nor is he some sort of ruler over hell, that is a common blasphemy. He has been thrown out of the heavens, lucifer has fallen to the earth and now he stalks the earth like a lion seeking whom he may devour. When Jesus returns, THEN satan and his followers will be thrown in the pit which has been constructed for them. And hell is destruction, the grave, the big ending, it is not as if satan is going to rule for there or any of that garbage.
Error is not blasphemy, good worshiper. It is only blasphemy if it was caused by malice. But what you said is true. The adversary would not stay in hel where his malice is ilde and fruitless. He is at war with man (if he is real) and for all eternity he will be leading many of us into our own destruction. (not hell, but a ruined and wasted life)
Nique, the Bible says nothing about satan being at the crucifixion but it is likely that is was in one manner or another. Satan did inhabit Judas at the time of the betrayal. Then again, satan merely means "adversary" and when the term "adversary" (STN) is used in the Bible it is not always clear if it is talking about "lucifer" or just speaking about "adversaries" to the Lord in general.
Well, the concept of Satan is that he is present wherever evil is produced. But it does not really matter. It was still all part of the plan to free us from the weakness that we percieved ourselves to be.
@logo1096 What will even bake your noodle more is that he's actually in the throne room of God. He is the "accuser of the brothers". Not only til late Revelation is he actually cast to the earth, out of the throne room. Pretty different from what we're taught as kids.
@logo1096 omg i love you!!! Are you a seventh day adventist? Cuz I believe a similar thing! Except for the 7 year tribulation part...unless yo believe the rapture? Then we believe two totally different things
@OrangeCourage1 1000 years in the lake of fire after the 7 years of tribulation after the rapture is what Christians believe. It's right there in Revelation.
@TopperRollinCoal then some idiot put in there because i have read that section and i never read anywhere that it talks about 7 years or the word rapture. Some people mistake some scriptures to mean something when they don't mean that. And we should let it interpret us anyway. You might have a different version than me, also.
@OrangeCourage1 In Christianity the rapture is a name for - all of the born again from the four winds of the earth taken to heaven all at once while alive. Read Matthew Chapter 24..especially 29-31 that's the rapture. The 7 years I was thinking about the 7 beasts/seals/horses/bowls....the beasts/satan rule for 3 and a half years(not seven) on earth then Christ returns with his 144,000 and throws the anti christ & beast into the lake of fire.
@TopperRollinCoal ok, now i think we're on the same page. but bowls? Do you mean scrolls? Oh wait...i dont that is in there...i must be confusing that with something else...
@OrangeCourage1 bowls is the word used in the kjv/nkjv versions for the seven plagues/storms - sores, waters&sea to blood, fire from heaven, darkness, rivers drying up, earthquakes...etc. Revelation chapter 15&16
Perhaps it would be better if Christians united against the forces of evil, instead of pointing fingers and name-calling each other. Jesus said we will know his children because of the love we have for each other. Calling others names is not a way to show love, now is it?
I agree with you most sincerely, brother. We must remember our common heritage as children of one Creator and members of one family, one Mankind. Are we to allow our egos and our fear of the unknown drive us into conflict with each other when we could unite? Let us help each other come together under the banner of the Spirit of Truth. There are revolutionary steps to this.

It is obvious to me that this guy is a lukewarm Christian, encouraging believers to conform to modern society and be "people pleasers" instead of God pleasers.
"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:16
Of course I understood the point that you cannot blame "satan" for your own inadequacies misfortunes but what does that have to do with staying ALERT as to the works of the adversary as the Bible encourages us to be.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" - 1st Peter 5:8
But it does not necessarily mean you should always be thinking of the enemy. You must always be careful not to make yourself just like him. This is first done by losing al attention to him and focusing on the task at hand. NO distractions. Not even the devil can bend a straight will.
TheSixString, he basically implied that people who "see satan in the new age and in the music" are wrong and that people who believe such things are foolish. Either it is right or it is wrong. I can prove to you [if you would let me] that the New Age movement and the modern music industry is completely in the grip of satan.
This is directed towards WorshipInTruth, you are mostly right, but I have to disagree with you on the music is evil thing. All music is not evil, some is, some is glorifying to God, some is just ok.
I agree, although I think listening to worship music is almost necessary, because lyrics get in your head very easily. So you could hear something on the radio once and be singing it all day and it makes you think about what you are singing, which could be bad. So worship music is a good way to get good lyrics in your head.
I totally agree. I was just saying that you can listen to secular music, and it be ok. Worshipintruth seems to think that if you don't listen to strictly worship music, then you're going to go to hell.
ReasonableChristian, 98% of what today passes as "music" is most certainly EVIL. When did I say that "you will go to hell if you dont listen to strictly worship music", please do not put words in my mouth because I said no such thing.
God has given us dominion over this Earth. Genesis
And Satan has no legal authority in the Earth, unless it is freely given to him. He can do nothing without a willing vessel. All the things that you have mentioned, require just that. And all music is not bad, there is singing in heaven which glorifies God....and likewise here on Earth.
Wrong, satan is the "Prince of the power of the this world", this is why he offered Jesus the nations of the world. Of course it is Jesus with all the real power, but he allows the devil to exist for a time. Music is evil if it is not about YHWH and glorifying him.
1. Was Satan's fall before or after man was created?
2. Was God lying when he said to Adam & Eve - Genesis 1:26..."Let Us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over ALL THE EARTH and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Read also verse 28...referring to subduing & having dominion over the earth once again
WorshiplnTruth; Satan tempted Christ with what he did not even posses. Which is why Christ responded with the truth of His word. The correct scripture to quote is this; Ephesians 2:2....verse 1..."And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins. verse 2..."in which you once walked according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience..." * Influence is different than dominion* This WILL change once the Holy Spirit is removed/antichrist
i love the harry potter books i just don't belive i'm going to be accepted into hogwarts any time soon but my pap apparently doesn't know i'm not that dumb i was swimming and he asked me if i was seeing the 6th movie and i said yes i love the books and was like DON'T BELIEVE THAT(insert swearword of choice here)! i'm like I DON'T! "Now it's the HARRY POTTER BOOKS!! Don't even touch the cover of the HARRY POTTER BOOKS!!" XD I met a girl who thought like that. Seriously, if anything was satan's fault, It would be de-caf coke. XD

you are a rube, too. harry potter is just as inconsequential as the Bible. why not go read The Crucible and empathize with the liars who see evil spirits soaring around court rooms
The Bible is the least inconsequential book of all time - it's lasted longer and affected more people than any other book - or set of books - in history. I LIKE Harry Potter books, but I don't read them for truth. I read Harry Potter for the story; I read the Bible for truth. God bless, and I hope you have a nice day.

Is he aware that Harry Potter is about the occult? I mean, we SHOULDN'T be condoning kids reading stuff like that. On top of that, the early church did a book-burning of occultic books. So maybe find a weirder thing to knock.
Pamathey 1 year ago
@Pamathey Yeah, but keep in mind that the Ephesians were former Satanists who were burning their OWN books of magic. They weren't buying books for the sole purpose of "evangelically" burning them.
AtarahDerek 1 year ago
@AtarahDerek I agree that BUYING books to burn them is stupid - you're encouraging the sales of the books. At any rate, the concept of book burning is not wrong. If I recall correctly, there is even some reference to it in the Old Testament - God encouraging the Israelites to get rid of/demolish/destroy everything that related to an idol.
Pamathey 1 year ago
@Pamathey Yes, after the land had been fully claimed for God. It's not, however, to be used as an evangelism tool. Shaking chains over your head in anger and trying to break them is more likely to scare a slave away than draw him to you. Especially if he doesn't realize he's a slave.
AtarahDerek 1 year ago
@AtarahDerek I don't know, I wouldn't limit God's ability to use various weird evangelism/teaching tools. Check out some of the things God had his prophets do ... very weird things. Walking around naked? Laying on their side for months and months? Building clay models of cities and besieging them? (cont.)
Pamathey 1 year ago

By the way I am a Christian, are you?
rsousa66 2 years ago
Just curious friend (and I am not anti-Jesus or anti-Bible), but you said you got your information from the Bible... Well, the Bible nowhere says that Lucifer is Satan's name. Nor does it say that he can't be omnipresent because he's sinful. The scripture verse about Lucifer is about the Babylonian King, not the devil. Much of what you stated comes from church tradition, not the Bible. I'm not saying you are wrong on every point, but it just goes to show how tradition influences us.
truthforfreevideo 2 years ago
Isaiah 14:12
CanYouSephin 2 years ago
Isaiah 14:12 does not state that Lucifer is Satan's name. The context speaks explicitly concerning Nebuchadnezzar. The comparison of a monarch with the sun, or the other heavenly bodies, is common in the Scriptures. The concept of Satan being "Lucifer" was invented in later centuries by some of the early Church fathers, but has no warrant in Scripture. Again, this is not a big deal worth arguing over, but it just goes to show how our traditions often influence, right or wrong. No offense.
truthforfreevideo 2 years ago
Another example of this kind of poetic language is a passage like Zechariah 11:2, which says, "Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down." Believe it or not, the passage is not talking about trees. Jerusalem and the Temple is likened unto Lebanon and its trees and the priests, princes and people likened unto the title of firs, cypresses and oaks.

Have I read the entire bible? Not sure what your angle is, but yes, I have. Satan IS everywhere, but that doesn't mean it matters hehe. Why? Because GOD is also everywhere. :)
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Does that mean I have Satan AND God in my poopy-hole?
vadimcream 2 years ago
The question is does it matter? I mean that's so trivial, man. The existence of Satan doesn't even matter for that fact. Only the existence of God and His plan. That's all that matters, because that's all that'll take effect. :) And that's good news.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Of course it matters! If I've got satan in my poopy-hole then maybe I should get a colonic, but if jesus is in there too then maybe I should send in a cracker or something, he might get hungry!
vadimcream 2 years ago
Kid, he's GOD. God doesn't eat, and neither does Satan. They're spirits. Spirits don't get hungry. And they don't have any power over you! Why? God respects all your decisions and Satan can't lead you to sin unless you decide for yourself to sin. It's THAT simple. LISTEN to what Brad's saying. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Satan is NOT everywhere, because he is not OMNIPRESENT like God is, BUT, he does have demons who go all over the place to do his work for him.
rsousa66 2 years ago
What does Job's "roaming around the earth" mean to you? Satan is not a being bound to the natural laws of the universe. According to Biblical logic, he is everywhere sin goes, only that he manifests himself in certain situations. Principally, he miht as well be his own legio of demons. Satan as sin makes him omnipresent, just like the omnipresence of truth.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
ok whatever, I don't wan't to get into a debate, if thats what you think, great. But I choose to agree to disagree. Have a good one. :)
rsousa66 2 years ago
Well, I actually wanna know what you think if it's okay. :)
NiqueJB 2 years ago
The triuth taht most people do not want to realize is that Satan has no real grip in our desicions. In the book of Job, he never had any power over Job's thinking or faith. Sure, he made everything upside-down, but it was Job's decision that decided the fate of the day, not the Devil. This is the first key element of our inheritence from God. Our free human will. No one should offend that by becomeing slaves of their own paranoia.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Satan is the accuser, this role is seen in the Book of Job. He accuses the saints and the sinners, but of course he has no more power over the believer as we now have an advocate for ourselves in the person of Christ Jesus.

avatarnaruto77 2 years ago
Technically, Satan doesn't stay in Hell. He goes around like he always has since the Old Testament. He was there at the crucifixion, he was there at the Book of Job. And he was there at the time Jesus went to 40 days and nights in the desert.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
If you are not looking out for the devil in your life then you are not being alert and "sober". The task at hand is to defeat the devil and sin in our life and to help others do the same, you cannot do that if you are not focused on what satan is doing in this world.
We of course realize that even satan is merely a tool fulfilling the will of YHWH whether he realize it or not but that does not mean that we are to forget about him.
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago
Remember that the root of all evil is the decision of man to do evil. Satan (if he is real) merely presents to him the possibility which would inevitably come to him because of his sentience. Calamities and death and sickness are of natural cause (they are bound to God's laws of the universe), while the abuses of man are merely his decision. The first parents? They were in full power to decide. If they failed, it was their own, no one else's.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Nique, was satan not there to lead the first parents into error and sin?
The adversary will not only ruin your life but will lead us to hell. He knows that is where he is going and that his time is short. He wants to bring down as many people with him as he can.
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Dear NiqueJb, Yes they were human, but, they were created perfect, then Satan came and tempted them, which made them fall into sin. Am I right WorshipInTruth?
rsousa66 2 years ago
It was still their decision. And perfect does not mean sinless, but being that which you were destined to become. Even without Satan's temptatin, there is still the curiosity of a human being. They were still prone to seeking knowledge. If you look at the big picture, this was not Satan's doing, but man's destiny.
NiqueJB 2 years ago
This is correct nique, satan is not in hell nor is he some sort of ruler over hell, that is a common blasphemy. He has been thrown out of the heavens, lucifer has fallen to the earth and now he stalks the earth like a lion seeking whom he may devour. When Jesus returns, THEN satan and his followers will be thrown in the pit which has been constructed for them. And hell is destruction, the grave, the big ending, it is not as if satan is going to rule for there or any of that garbage.
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago
Error is not blasphemy, good worshiper. It is only blasphemy if it was caused by malice. But what you said is true. The adversary would not stay in hel where his malice is ilde and fruitless. He is at war with man (if he is real) and for all eternity he will be leading many of us into our own destruction. (not hell, but a ruined and wasted life)
NiqueJB 2 years ago
Nique, the Bible says nothing about satan being at the crucifixion but it is likely that is was in one manner or another. Satan did inhabit Judas at the time of the betrayal. Then again, satan merely means "adversary" and when the term "adversary" (STN) is used in the Bible it is not always clear if it is talking about "lucifer" or just speaking about "adversaries" to the Lord in general.
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago
Well, the concept of Satan is that he is present wherever evil is produced. But it does not really matter. It was still all part of the plan to free us from the weakness that we percieved ourselves to be.
NiqueJB 2 years ago

@OrangeCourage1 1000 years in the lake of fire after the 7 years of tribulation after the rapture is what Christians believe. It's right there in Revelation.
TopperRollinCoal 9 months ago
@TopperRollinCoal then some idiot put in there because i have read that section and i never read anywhere that it talks about 7 years or the word rapture. Some people mistake some scriptures to mean something when they don't mean that. And we should let it interpret us anyway. You might have a different version than me, also.
OrangeCourage1 9 months ago
@OrangeCourage1 In Christianity the rapture is a name for - all of the born again from the four winds of the earth taken to heaven all at once while alive. Read Matthew Chapter 24..especially 29-31 that's the rapture. The 7 years I was thinking about the 7 beasts/seals/horses/bowls....the beasts/satan rule for 3 and a half years(not seven) on earth then Christ returns with his 144,000 and throws the anti christ & beast into the lake of fire.

Perhaps it would be better if Christians united against the forces of evil, instead of pointing fingers and name-calling each other. Jesus said we will know his children because of the love we have for each other. Calling others names is not a way to show love, now is it?
clev8136 2 years ago
I agree with you most sincerely, brother. We must remember our common heritage as children of one Creator and members of one family, one Mankind. Are we to allow our egos and our fear of the unknown drive us into conflict with each other when we could unite? Let us help each other come together under the banner of the Spirit of Truth. There are revolutionary steps to this.

"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:16
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago

ReasonableChristian 2 years ago
I agree, although I think listening to worship music is almost necessary, because lyrics get in your head very easily. So you could hear something on the radio once and be singing it all day and it makes you think about what you are singing, which could be bad. So worship music is a good way to get good lyrics in your head.
DMtactical 2 years ago

God has given us dominion over this Earth. Genesis
And Satan has no legal authority in the Earth, unless it is freely given to him. He can do nothing without a willing vessel. All the things that you have mentioned, require just that. And all music is not bad, there is singing in heaven which glorifies God....and likewise here on Earth.
MelodiesfromHeaven 2 years ago
Wrong, satan is the "Prince of the power of the this world", this is why he offered Jesus the nations of the world. Of course it is Jesus with all the real power, but he allows the devil to exist for a time. Music is evil if it is not about YHWH and glorifying him.
WorshipInTruth 2 years ago
Let me ask you this;
MelodiesfromHeaven 2 years ago
WorshiplnTruth; Satan tempted Christ with what he did not even posses. Which is why Christ responded with the truth of His word. The correct scripture to quote is this; Ephesians 2:2....verse 1..."And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins. verse 2..."in which you once walked according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience..." * Influence is different than dominion* This WILL change once the Holy Spirit is removed/antichrist
