The beginning of this song is traditionally sung by the Queen GUITARIST Brian May. It was written by him as well. These guys made it sound like it was Freddie's song. Yes, Freddie Mercury probably is indeed the best vocalist in rock history, but Who Wants To Live Forever was Dr. Brian May's brainchild.

This was a good effort by The Ten Tenors, by the way. But they've got nothing on Queen.

What this gentleman said in the beginning was beautiful and so true. Freddie's singing capability was very rare. He spoke in baritone and at times sang in baritone. He sang in tenor range but also in soprano. His falsetto was excellent.

Freddie received the biggest compliment from opera diva Montserrat Caballe. She told Freddie he sang in soprano. Freddie just smiled and said thank you.

Freddie had a God given talent with no vocal training of any kind. He was the best.

These tenors simply can reach the same quality and intensity he used to display always at stage or even when he laughed. However, this is not a bad job. A good thing: I loved what he said about Freddie. He always stood out among the rest. Just to hear his name send shivers down my spine. I bet he's more alive now that is away from suffering. His voice is unique and must have a healing property because when he sings all the sorrow dissapear. He is more than just a legend, he's an immortal star.
