  • That is a common misconception. Use it as a part of your conditioning. Don't run plays from it. I use a whistle not a snap count. It's much hard to expect kids to be good getting out of a position they never get in. Get them comfortable getting in and out of the low hip position and you will see the improvement.

  • not really sure abt the drop step tech cuz a lot of kids might think it ok to take drop steps when firing out of a stance....as you might kno its as bad as making a drop step everytime you walk to somebody.

  • The effect of gravity is changed when going up hill. More weight is on the hips and less on the hands. The reverse happens when going down hill. A very gradual decline will challenge the shoulders a lot more. When looking at the shoulders, always as what is the task or position the entire body needs to be. The push up matrix with different hand positions is a great one see the warm up video for that. I will add the lineman spine matrix soon.

  • @gottfeld My son has great technic but the drills shown in your vid Will help him with getting him flexible. I really liked the vid thanks

  • hi,

some great warm up idea's. just wondering what benefits there are for the shoulders while doing the uphill/downhill tweak? also i'd be greatful if you could point me to some functional dynamic shoulder stretches other than rotations.

    many thanks
