By the way there is no way to use radiometric dating on fossils that have no carbon or tissue left. This is because there is nothing to date. These idiots will date the ground around the fossil and say it is the same age as the original bones. If you were to die today and your remains were to be fossilized by complete replacement, no matter how long or how short the time, you will be dated by the minerals that were there way long before you died in most cases it is obviously flawed.

When someone dies by a watering hole it is not formed at the time of death, so the fossils are not the age of the watering hole. PERIOD. And how long after the fossil formed did the layer cover the fossil? It is not scientific. And even so the idea that you can project 10,000 years of known out to billions of years is ridiculous. There's no way to verify this.

Not true - here is some info for you:
Minerals in bone are generally not dated - except in the case of carbon-14 (but that has only a short half-life and so is used more by archaeologists than palaeontologists). But, with typical fossil/ geological cases, it's neighbouring volcanic ashes and lavas that are dated (so many fossil beds cannot be directly dated).
"These ashes and lavas solidify from molten material, and the geochronometer ticks from the time of cooling - i.e. the time the lava stopped lowing or the ash falls.
Therefore, the dates are precisely for that instant, and that corresponds precisely to their position in the rock succession, and so that's precisely what geologists have always said."

@AlanCFA There are several, obvious flaws in radiometric dating that cannot be overcome. There is no way to verify and dating using the data we have as a time standard. You cannot project what you know from such a tiny speck of time, 10,000 years or so, out to billions of years. This is because the conditions are completely different in ancient times that cause matter to form or to decay. The only thing we have is "change" and over billions of years that is a lot of change not accounted for.

DNA is different between modern man and Neanderthals, we did not cross breed. We were two species the brached off. They were left africa 300,000 years before we did, then 200,000 years later modern man left Africa. One theory is that when we first met on those cold plains in europe it was modern man that attacked and killed them off, battle for resources could be one reason.

Even though he/she may have been ONE person, it is still probably enough to prove that humans and Neanderthals could reproduce. And the DNA from an earlier ancestor would still suggest at least there was SOME inbreeding with a different species, if it evolved, all our DNA would be FULL, not half Neanderthal-like. :-)

I think it was more to do with fecundity and proliferation. I think Cro magnon man had a slightly shorter gestation period less child mortality and was more prone to wander further and likely to group together in greater numbers...more Cro Magnon, less Neanderthal, competition for resources, mortality rate, disease. By the way there is no way to use radiometric dating on fossils that have no carbon or tissue left. This is because there is nothing to date. These idiots will date the ground around the fossil and say it is the same age as the original bones. If you were to die today and your remains were to be fossilized by complete replacement, no matter how long or how short the time, you will be dated by the minerals that were there way long before you died in most cases it is obviously flawed.

When someone dies by a watering hole it is not formed at the time of death, so the fossils are not the age of the watering hole. PERIOD. And how long after the fossil formed did the layer cover the fossil? It is not scientific. And even so the idea that you can project 10,000 years of known out to billions of years is ridiculous. There's no way to verify this.

That means that fossilization can take place in much shorter times when there is a high level of the right acids and minerals present at the same place. Assumption and belief is not science.

Minerals in bone are generally not dated - except in the case of carbon-14 (but that has only a short half-life and so is used more by archaeologists than palaeontologists). But, with typical fossil/ geological cases, it's neighbouring volcanic ashes and lavas that are dated (so many fossil beds cannot be directly dated).

@AlanCFA There are several, obvious flaws in radiometric dating that cannot be overcome. There is no way to verify and dating using the data we have as a time standard. You cannot project what you know from such a tiny speck of time, 10,000 years or so, out to billions of years. This is because the conditions are completely different in ancient times that cause matter to form or to decay. The only thing we have is "change" and over billions of years that is a lot of change not accounted for.

There is NO WAY to make a "recreation" of any Neanderthal society from artifacts. These people are projecting their religous beliefs on Neanderthals and calling it "science' It is a pseudo science and they need to be wearing tin hats and use magic wands. That is all we really know. This idea of "mutation" to the point of creating a totally new genetic lineage is just fantasy. Nobody knows where life originated. This is fact, absolute fact.

Fact: Mutations happen all the time in organisms
Fact: Most of the time, mutations are negative but every now and then they are beneficial
THEORY: The organisms with the beneficial mutations stay alive and reproduce more successfully than others.

So far nothing that you can call life has been created in a lab.
In order to call them "mutations" you must first know exactly what you are seeing that the fact that these differences in DNA may simply already be in the programming that is the cause of DNA. If it is the same as any "ancestor" in the entire lineage then it is a repeat of existing genetic information. That you can't disprove.
