d brown came from a time when almost every atrist was a killa when it came to music errol dunkley, delroy wilison and the list goes on ,point is d brown stand out of the pack and was loved for his style and sound, the man is just that damn good ,rip d brown the world of music miss you man
Seeing Dennis sing brings me so much joy, words can't express. I must have watched this fifty times already since I first came across it and it still brings a tear to my eye.
My Memory with Brown was on a flight from Puerto Rico to St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands around 1994. He had a concert on St. Croix and was on his way. I was sitting 1 seat behind and in the opposite lane. He was accompanied with a another male and female. He seem a little bit tired at the time, which was a reason why I did not wanna disturb him and ask for his autograph. I regret it to this day for not asking.....He was a great man, Messenger/Prophet
Dennis Brown had such a beautiful spirit. He was so articulate and knowledgeable about the singers who influenced him. Even early in the morning, his voice sounds majestic. He was devoid of ego. He responded to each request to sing a verse or chorus to one of his classic songs. Dennis sang roots, lovers rock, and also dancehall. Dennis Brown is one of the most important reggae artist next to Bob Marley. The crown prince of reggae = Dennis Brown.

That's so true - he even had a very mature, deep and seasoned voice for a teenager. Check Lips of Wine, No Man Is An Island (1969) & Things in Life.
