  • Probably this song is one of the best composed masterwork of all times. Heavily underrated, though, which has something to do with their shit second album.

  • ah - listen carefully to the intro - awesome polyrhythm stuff going on between piano and hihat.

  • @1NeilB Ear candy *-*

  • Everything blends together sooo perfectly. Love it.

  • Two people were moved to tears and blindly hit the dislike button by accident

  • We've tried in my band to make this kind of music, and failed again and again! I'm glad that we've failed, cause that just proves that this is REAL music, compared to the mainstream today. Hopefully we will get there some day.. Reign of Kindo, you have our full support and we've learned so much from listening to your music. Thanks - Veneer.

  • two people dont understand the difference between "like" and "dislike"

  • I"m in love with this band ..

  • Greeley Estates sent me.

  • Reign of Kindo needs to have more people listening to their music. Seriously!

  • It honestly is better than everything I've ever heard.

  • real music.

  • 240p WHY????!??!?!

  • thumbs up if Oh Sleeper told you about them

  • @diehardrock4u haha nice, we were playing this album and the ep almost everyday while loading in. Love this band.

  • @rockstarr2113 understandable. the melodies are incredibly inspiring. great GREAT music

  • sooooooooo beautiful!

  • "now i feel like a ghost in a world that is fading"

  • this song changed my life

  • Sounds like a mixture of Keane and Muse.

  • That's one dislike too many

  • hey everyone, watch my reign of kindo's cover! thanks a lot

  • I love Opeth but I didn't imagine them being brought up on the comments for this video. You guys are addicts!

  • There always has to be that one person....

  • I have no idea how people cannot love this. That one person has like no life at all.

  • Possibly the best song ever!

  • Hell yes

  • 1 person accidently hit the dislike button

  • @swichfoot333 WAS ME. I should DIE ;___;

  • @CeZar9K you should jk

  • This sounds a lot like Great Blue Sea.

  • @DAMMITSANTANA

    lol its so funny.

    "moooo menntss innn betweeennnnn"

    "falllll innnnn tooooo theee seaaaa"

    lol like wtf?

  • @IcarusCinematics

"moments in between, the words I hear you scream, desperate and clean, leave me feeling weak."

  • @BrokenWingman "the moments in between the words i hear you speak are desolate and clear and leave me feeling weak."

that's from the inside of their cd case.

  • i want lyrics... is he saying oh my god what have i become or what has/is love become?

  • @g0dz1lla1 never mind, i found it, but it was kind of confusing at first.

  • Stunning in composition. Something to be cherished.

  • new favorite

  • They're pretty good. omg

  • 4:37

    buy it

    it really worth the money

  • this song health my soul!!!

  • Love the drums.

  • @niallphillips - That has to be the most well-crafted and single most intelligent comments I have ever heard on YouTube...or anywhere for that matter!

  • Final Fantasy III Opening Theme anyone?

  • The only thing that I don't like about this song is that it finishes at the end.

    :(

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOSH

  • Beautiful song! Reminds me of Radiohead :)

  • I love this song

  • Great music. Chek my video response :)

  • so so good

  • one of the best jazzyband ive ever heard.<3

  • @itsEvanyo69 try T-Square or Casiopea.

  • They're so beautiful<3

  • the one person who disliked this must be someone who is super duper evil and has no soul, because this music is magical.

  • THE ONLY WAY BACK IS SCREAMING THE WORDS OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

  • Wow.

The singer has a fantastic voice.

    Love all the polyrhythmings.

    Beautiful.

  • It was almost a decade I didn't find something so awesome in music.

  • I wish you could dislike dislikes :P

  • That was... wonderful.

  • Wow, that was epic. I loved it, and I'm a through and through metal head.

I was actually disappointed when the song finished.

  • @Dystrox Same here man. Metal through and through, til Painted in Exile brought me to these guys, and ever since, I have been enamored with them...

  • eight0eightskate, I love this band, but the joke about people missing and hitting the wrong button gets old when I see it on every damn video I watch.

  • I would rather have a fifth of this band's musical genius than air to breathe.

  • Music has spoken "yet again"...

  • That ONE person who "disliked" the video, CLEARLY missed...

  • 156 up, 0 down. to no surprise. :)

  • such great bloody music!! What genre would this be? Progressive Contemporary Jazz?

  • This song is the perfect transition from Metal to pretty much any other genre- energy, beauty, magnificence, absolutely amazing.

  • /watch?v=bOS4tpGthG8

  • True music.

  • Fantastic! It might be a longshot, but it reminds me a bit of Pain of Salvation meets Riverside, without the metal.

  • Erm, I have enjoyed their music for a while, but never found the common link why they sound so samey. Its the minor 7th Innit !! No criticism, but If you played a new song tomorrow I'd know it was ROK.

  • @mensamoo You can't overuse the minor 7th! Need more minor 7th!

  • @mensamoo no you wouldn't

  • @mensamoo Have you heard/saw their latest? It's called Thrill of the Fall. You might not call that one "samey."

  • @malikamakamuki thanks, i'll check it out. D

  • I get goosebumps when he goes "Ooh my God... what have I become?" every time. Good stuff.

  • wow.. my heart stopped beating when i started listening to it and his voice took my breath away as

  • everything in the band is too awesome, even the vocals

  • New dimension of music. Amazing technic. What a band.

  • this song is sick- i love the soundso much

  • they're amazing!

  • woaaahhh.... so nice!!!

  • Wow i just stumbled across this and it's pretty amazing. Almost to smooth with great builds and balance. I could use something to cut through a little more. Some abrasion maybe or modulation. Guitars could have a little bump in the mix.

  • If you haven't already, you GOTTA check out their other stuff like, Just Wait, Hold Out, ROK Song-One (Deep Blue Sea), and others. They're unique to say the least.

  • @gustafsonlarsk engineer eh? I thought the drums had a nice rock edge to them, but way too bricked and muddied. Couldn't hear the fine details, and there's plenty of 'em.

  • the craftmanship is amazing on their songs.....amazing how simple musical lines run into each other and become magical

  • real musicians! a dying breed!

  • very true my friend

  • @TheMayercraft

YES! FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO RECOGNIZES THIS FACT. They. Are. All. AMAZING. MUSICIANS, and they are a dying breed...

  • @TheMayercraft Damn right

  • @TheMayercraft I disagree! real musicians in the mainstream music industry may be a dying breed. but there's plenty of talented musicians out there today! like The Reign of Kindo!

  • @TheMayercraft its sad but true

  • I will listen to it for eternity.

  • i could listen to this song forever until the end of eternity!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • What'd it take, like five seconds for me to love this song? I say they're great. I'm anxious to listen to more songs. But I'll listen to this one again first.

  • Lots of things go through my head when I listen to this song. Most of it is awe... New, fresh, and it's music, bloody MUSIC!

  • Am I the only one that traced a bit of Opeth on this great band:P

  • my god, i was thinking the same thing.

  • Nope lol! I could definitely hear it too! it is too awesome!

  • whenever i hear something well written and sad i hear opeth in it ha..

  • @Niallphillips Hah cool, Opeth is probably a huge inspiration for a lot of bands out there. As good as they are!

  • @Niallphillips

100% agree, their Damnation album completely blew my mind.

  • @Niallphillips

Not a bad thing. Opeth is fantastic. haha

  • It's the chilled out jaziness and awesome vocals :)

  • go all see candyrat for all the stuff

  • the drummers incredible

  • @StickManga I think they're all incredible; the drummer and pianist stand out the most, but they're all pretty talented!

  • if you can say that music is art, art should always should be like this

  • epic...thats the only way to describe this band...

  • It's so amazing.

  • i started listening to this band last fall and i cant get their stuff out of my head. its amazing

  • Wow. That's all I can say to this song. These guys are playing on a level way hgher than so many other professional bands. And these guys haven't even been around for very long! There's no doubt they've got a bright future ahead of them.

  • Nice really, really, Nice

  • sounds like an acoustic muse

  • oh gosh, it's been sooo long since i haven't listened to anything on american media so good as this song; how many times have I already gave up trying to find a truly innovative and great group on america, only to be disappointed and go back to european acts? And then I listen to a powerful and impressive band like this one and change my mind...

Great performance, gotta follow you guys. I wish there were a lot more like you out there!

  • this band is so damn talented

  • absolutely amazing.

  • his voice sorta reminds me of that of thom yorke from radiohead at times(more the beginning), although thom has probably the best voice ever!

  • Is this the band This Day & Age under a new name?

  • 4 members of TD&A, Steve, Mike, Kelly, & Joey were joined by Jeff Jarvis and formed The Reign of Kindo. Check out their stuff on their Myspace or on their web site.

  • It is actually This Day & Age minus one member I believe.

  • Yeah, they've got 4 members from This Day & Age with a new member.

  • whos there new member there lead guitarist

  • New member is actually an old member. Joe was the bassist when they were This Day & Age, If that's who you were talking about, the guy who does lead vocals as well. I sasy that because Mike also does lead guitar.

  • Brilliant production.

  • I think they sound more like "The dear hunter"

  • one of the best performances ive seen in my life

  • 1:37 = goose bumps every time

  • Truly impacting - it's explosive what this song can do with your head. I almost want to cry from the awe that this band can inspire.

  • i want to play the piano part really bad but i can't find it to save my life does anyone know where to get the piano part

  • reign of kindo is amazing...it's like one republic and jazz mixed together

  • its like circa survive and micheal buble mixed i think..

  • actually, i would differ from funktastic888, but just as a personal opinion.

Probably just because i like jazz as pianist =D

But yes This Day and Age was what got me hooked to this genre and style, and they're awesome too.

The Reign of Kindo is more instrumental focused though, IMO.

  • I'd have 2 disagree bro..

The Reign of Kindo has so much more character and is far more unique than This Day & Age

  • Dude, did you listen to the part at 3:47? It made my head explode!

  • god when I saw them in San Antonio I was so happy they played this and needle&thread.

they were flawless, a truly talented band.

and they finished with hold out, and it was truly amazing ha.

  • love love the reign of kindo.

    also " this day & age "

  • beautiful song altogether....theres a gradual crescendo throughout the entire song. well constructed entirely

  • again man, listen to circa survive.. same sort of deal with the gradual build up of the song..

  • please go and listen to circa survive, type casting is the one thing this band don't need.

this band has much more to contribute

  • @bockpool i agree reign of kindo is more talenteed than circa survive. but circa is one of my favorite bands also. lets not go saying they are a bad band. because to me they're very talented in a more prog rock way.

  • theyre like a mix of One Republic and Spyro Gyra! absolutely gorgeous!

  • Agreed, mix of one republic, and cold play.. Soo nice.

  • This really is better than anything I've ever heard. My favorite band ever!

  • favorite song and band of all time. I'm so happy you have this posted :D

  • wow. everything about this song is perfect. love it.

  • i think this is new age jazz... i love this group

  • awesome....
