  • COME BACK TO PHILLY SOON,,,AND BRING WAR WITH YOU !!!

  • about 30 years and still the best

  • Hello Neftali, I have several Mandrill LPs (Vinyl) including "Just outside of town)..Mango meat is one of the funkiest drum pattern ever recorded!!!!....I have a "drummer" question .I have noticed that in this live version you play a slightly different pattern compared to the record...After the three bass drum strokes-hi hat openings you hit the snare drum with your left hand instead of the hi hat as in the LP version.. I am trying to learn this pattern and I am just curious...thank you!!

  • It's time to perform in DC! We need your energy here!

  • Not only are they great musicians, but every last one of them has a PhD - look it up!

  • NO SAMPLING.

    NO RAPPING.

  • I was a wannabe bass player in the 70's in N.Y. Everybody had a garage band. We played Fencewalk, Mango Meat and Hang Loose (not too good though). Still break out the Best of Mandrill CD all the time.

  • Loved the Central Park Concert in '72 or 3?. Central Park is in my heart and will remain there. Can't you be everywhere?

  • @renman16291

Hey I loved perfuming in Central Park in 73. Those where the days. We really had the City in our hands. Thanks for your comment.

  • no rap necessary. Mandrill rules. I would skip every concert in Philly for one Mandrill ticket. Watching them walk through he crowd playing Mango Meat remains my favorite concert moment of all time!!!!!!! Who can touch them on stage. NOBODY! F A POP RECORD! LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO KOOL AND THE GANG!

  • @Too0masz,

Welcome to Mandrill music. It's good to have such a young fan. I will be in Germany next week with "Sorgente". I am managing them. I think we are touring close to Poland but I'm not sure. Keep in touch and I will let you know. Any other Mandrill fans in Germany I know for sure we will be in Munich and Austria. email me if you would like the dates. I will be more than happy to meet and greet our fans.

  • @neftalisantiago, it would be great, if I could see your concert in Poland! By the way, I just have to say, that I love your drumming, especially that drum pattern in "Fencewalk" - brilliant. Yours, Tomasz :)

  • Okay, Neftali, I'm going to ask a question which will undoubtedly show my ignorance, but I really want to know. Why aren't you and Coffee playing with Mandrill now? Saw them in Long Beach in September. They were great , of course, but I missed you guys!
