  • Frankly

Watching those arrogant dips Congratulating themselves at our expense is disgusting.

Genuine hard working humans would not waste the loads of film and associated costs on a celebration. They would have actually showed much more intimate details of the work as it is progressing.

It is easy to make advances with the amounts of monies that are tossed in their direction. It is obvious that LHC is another poorly run government operation.

  • There are many videos describing the work being done on CERN's website, you need to research before you open your mouth.

One such progress report can be found here:

    cdsweb . cern . ch / record / 1229425

Of course I don't expect you to understand any of it. There are many videos explaining the progress on their document server.

  • Well heres yet another successful attempt in wasting money that could have been used to help the sick and the poor of humanity,Jeezzzzzzz when is the Human Race going to learn that the ppl should come first and this BullShit 2nd,and remember Sane PPL Dont build this type devices.!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • Race Acer about the sick people, check this out: heidelberg ion beam therapy center

  • Go LHC!...At the brink of new discoveries!!

  • CERN is an international organization on the French Swiss border not French, but never let facts get in the way of a stupid rant.

  • words well spoken

I think the french should spend about 75% of their time thanking the U.S. that they don't have to speak German as a first language

  • i think the united states of etcetera should spend 99percent of its time thanking europe for the vast wealth which made it a superpower.

  • really? just die please!

  • man, and you please just go back to the nursery school you probably break from

  • every time you type you prove how religion just makes you stupid. and BTW the HTML standard that ushered in the World Wide Web was invented by Tim Berners Lee at CERN in 1987 for better communication. If you don't like what CERN has provided you, get off the fucking internet, hypocrite.

  • this is almost as stupid as sweat logdes lol..mass sucides..rist cutting...XD..nuts,nuts u guys are freaking nuts lol

  • No it is one of the greatest adventures in science to find out about the most basic laws and the conditions at the beginning of the universe.

If you want stupid or at least ignorant go back to animal sacrificing primatives in the Middle East a few thousand years ago. Or perhaps the doctrine that god sacrificed himself to himself to change a rule he made in the first place. If you read more books than the Bible you might actually learn something.

  • This is what happen when, people play world of warcraft lol..This is so insane,,,so stupid..amd it help so little that it french ppl lol...rofl

  • and just how did u get money for this.lol.Who did you bribe to get it approved?lol..43 countrys..lol..Oh my God,humans and french ppl have gone nuts..lol

  • and just a question, lol why does the cern logo, displays 666?Dou think ure anti christ or sumtin lol.I bet this a freemason project who else is dumb enough to do something like this.lol

  • this is the most stupid idea i ever seen come to life lol...

  • particle accelerators are over 40 years old.. America has two.. America's Fermilab help explain physics to the point where we are today..it proved the standard model

the next step is nanotechnology and superconducting... these sciences are stuck and humanity needs a "big bang machine" to help explain particle physics

fusion energy, supercomputers, and nanorobots are within our fingertips.. this machine will be a useful tool in determining the path of humanity

  • good luck - the Grid is waiting for tasks!

  • I Hope this can explode the planet earth and all come to begin again!

  • Why would you hope for something like that?

  • if you're gonna quote fiction... i'd prefer you quoting dr seuss. it's more believable and logical that a cat can talk as opposed to a snake

  • Analysis of CERNs Final Report on Safety of its Large Hadron Collider:

    dovgel . com / engl / analysis . htm

  • Damn i cant wait exited like hell :D

  • Jorg Wenninger has a pen with multiple colours of ink!

  • does anyone know the expected date they're gonna start colliding?

  • I don't know the date the colliding will happen, although it sounds like it could be in the next 3 weeks according to what the person said during the last minute of this video. But what I can say for certain is that I can't wait for the results. I wonder if the results of the collision will not only bring in unexplored physics, but will it also change something(s) that's already explored in physics also? I hope nothing goes wrong...

  • thanks man.. so i heard that the higgs boson is what gives matter it's mass? or something like that?... does anyone know a video on here that explains more about the higgs boson? cos i can't really get my head around it.

  • So far that I heard of too that the higgs boson is supposed to be a particle that's been theorized to give matter it's mass. There's an interesting video on this website that we're at now that's titled: "The Higgs Boson and Mass" that talks about the higgs particle.

  • thanks! :)

  • in november 2009 or early 2010

  • if i were that Italian lady i would touch my bum too. meow ;P

  • Me = Excoooiiiited!! :-D

  • i cant wait until it finally happens :D

  • Its very nice and well done that video and I enjoy watching it every time.

What I dont understand are some donkeys here, posting all sorts of uninterested and intellectually retarded comments.

  • You guys make science pop with these updates. Thanks.

  • coool!

  • that would bring you a lawsuit and a fine and/or imprisonment and restraining order

  • I am a bit impatient for the true elegance of the universe to be revealed.Goodness is reveled in time

  • This shit boggles my mind

  • I just love their working environment with all those computers. Heaven :D

  • Agreed :P

  • i was just gonna say i'd looove a rack of computers like that,

  • And it looks to be a completely Idiot Free environment. How pleasant would that be to work in? No pointy Haired bosses!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is truly amazing.

The most interesting thing that could happen is that we find no Higgs...

    We'd have to rethink everything.

  • Or maybe we just need to either build a more powerful collider or go in a completely different direction (I have no idea where) to find that elusive bastidge.

I am just as interested in discovering the nature of dark energy. That may be even more earth shaking than the Higgs Boson.

  • Half Life Here we come...Gordon Freeman get Ready please. Lol.

  • Thanks for the update.

  • Bring on supersymmetry!

    Amazing work.

  • Waiting in anticipation for the new branch of science to be discovered.

Or to put it simply Im champing at the bit.

  • its a particle accelerator - not a playstation.

if your attention span is suffering so badly go watch some cartoons or something lol ;P

  • I've been waiting since 1988

is that not long enough for you?

It was supposed to have fired up months ago.

  • sheesh.. 21 years of waiting and you still dont grasp the concept of patience.. tragic.

  • So, you would rather see it fire up later then sooner?

  • i have no preference. if i had a stake in the project academically or financially i may be inclined to feel different.

    but i don't - so i don't.

however i look forward to some interesting things - when the time comes - whenever that may (or may not) be.

  • ha

    Pathetic.

You can even say that you want it to happen sooner.

Caught in your own trap much?

Who needs to grow up now?

    haha

  • lol yeh.. you got me good and proper.

    you are just pure win.

btw - i marked up all your comments even though you marked mine down - i think you may need the support.

im gonna go and grow up some more now byee lol

  • can't*

  • Waiting for George Bush to build it in Waxahatchie, TX? He didn't get the sewer treatment plant named after him either.

  • FYI we were at one time building the Superconducting Super Colider (SSC) in Texas. Our government cut off funding before it was completed. It is up to CERN to take up the torch we dropped.

  • I saw some photos of the site.

It seems most of the tunnels were already dug out when the funding was stopped.

What happened to the tunnels ? Did they find a new purpose for them ?

  • you don't seem to comprehend how massive this thing is.

  • knock, knock, who's there?

  • This is awesome!

  • So the mid-November startup date seems to be the final one. :-)
