I don't understand this; the switch is an x450e. We don't have any of these, but I believe that the x450e comes with edge licence as standard, and can be upgraded to advanced edge. This switch is shown having advanced edge enabled before the trial is activated, so what exactly is the trial? The 'Show Licenses' command after the trial is activated doesn't actually show a licence level, only that it is a 30 day trial, and I don't think the core licence level is available on the x450e.
Hello,
You right the switch is already in Advanced Edge License.
The Trial license activate full features even if you are in Edge.
The magic with the Trial License is that it enables also feature that are notCommercially available on the XOS switch.
Summit X450e don't have access to Core License (that enable BGP for example), with the Trial it does!
Be carefull this is a TRIAL license.
