Nothing was rigged. David drew a cat because thats what he thought of .. when asked to find someone he would only feel right about it if someone had the same suggestibility as him .. everyone does this, that's why certain people are attracted to certain people.

I tried to play along as well and it worked. I got the cat suggestion, which is pretty amazing just for a video. I do just like cats though so it's a possible coincidence. I would be more amazing if people had to draw something like a microscope or something less common.

They have similar coats when their out mind-reading. Lol, I have the same jumper as David.

Have you noticed on Derren's show's, almost every time someone think's of something, its either a cat or mouse (yet for some reason I always think Komodo Dragon :P) people are so predictable.

It's all planted -for example:

Derren says to David:

"...I want you to (pause) 'C' in the future what they have drawn"

'C' = triggers image of cat.

And for the woman Derren makes whiskers with his fingers and outlines the shape of a cat over and over.

There are probably lots of other subtle suggestions for a cat eg at 3:15 he holds her hand and make a sign on his arm - it's hard to see exactly what but it's not a natural gesture!

He probbaly planted the cat sugestion in everyone in the area, with pictures of it everywhere in a mile radius. It's not a coincidence they both drew or cat nor is it because it was likely. However, did Derren just get lucky that David chose someone suggestable? Or was the whole thing rigged?

Hmm - if you were told to draw anything simple, off the cuff I can bet you if it's not a stick man or a house, it's going to be a cat - everyone knows it's just one circle on top of another circle and most people aren't picassos I like this kind of thing because Derren obviously goes for the things that are most natural to human thought and the most likely outcome...

Has anyone got an idea one this one? At a guess, he found the story from somewhere, asked the Guardian to publish it on the specific date, lets face it, it aint headlining news, influenced David as we no he can do. Sounds simple but I'm up for more explanations

yes, he just hasn't made a big deal about it. For some reason people think this is a shocking thing to say. To me, it makes no difference. If people want 'proof', it was in the Times Online and he's mentioned it in two genuine interviews.

funny cause by the first minute of the video i already was thinking of a cat. dont exactly know how he did it but maybe his explanation might have influenced somehow.

"let me take your arm, just relax and put your feet on the floor" that gives a clue of a four legged animal?

and then he also influenced the girl to draw a cat and then the rest is just manipulation.

The Feet On The Floor is not a clue, but it's a standard thing with hypnosis to make sure that someone doesn't hurt themselves by relaxing with legs crossed and something like that.
