Fractured could have been much better if Heafy didn't do the vocals. Capharnaum are a death metal band, they're not a metalcore band like Trivium, therefore a death metal vocalist should be on the mic for Capharnaum, and Heafy should have stuck to his little niche. You wouldn't have Rob Halford singing for this band either. It doesn't have to be a debate of skill, but just a matter of what works for a band's sound, and Capharnaum needs death metal vocals.

I don't get how Trivium are more talented just because more people like them than they like Capharnaum. "Making it" in the music business is mostly about being at the right place at the right time. Catchy is such a subjective word. Anyone can consider anything "catchy". For the most part, I feel that basic and simple over played rhythms, song structures and overused teen screams make a band uninspiring. Which is pretty much a more valid reason that Capharnaum are better.

@faygohomie69 I fail to see how Trivium can be generic when they've made 4 completely different sounding albums.
Also completely disregarding an entire genre of music is ignorant.

@steerclear036 Because whether or not the albums sounded different, they were all very generic. Basically, each was generic in it's own way. Maybe you just haven't heard enough music and metal to realize how generic they are.
Sorry but I think rap is shit. I have heard everything from underground unknown rappers to mainstream bullshit, and it is ALL lame and shitty.

What facts do I need to back my point up? The fact is in the music. Go listen to a wide variety of metal like I have and then tell me they aren't generic.

I like this vocalist alot better then heafy, although he'z doing sum pretty brutal low vocals live with some trivium tracks
