  • Well at least you know when your gas pedal is stuck and you crash u still have a decent chance at living. The colorado wasnt made by GM either. It came from Izuzu. And if the other trucks had side airbags they would of did just as good by the looks of it.

  • Buy Japanese.... Its the safest route..

  • crap i drive a ranger

  • drive on the sidewalk for your own saftey

  • I'd prefer to die in a dodge than to survive in a toyota

  • @TheBlackeyedpeas1996 You're a moron.

  • @TheBlackeyedpeas1996 Dodge makes REALLY crappy vehicles... as a dodge mechanic (not by choice) they practically fall apart at the seams from lazy American craftsmanship.

  • If a vehicle does not get a 'GOOD' safety rating in all categories then the maker should not be allowed to sell it.

  • @robtubity

    NOPE!

  • 2/3 unsafe and the least safe trucks are American... Go figure...

  • tacoma isnt even a small truck

  • you kidding me??? my chevy...? POOR? Damn the american trucks, cant make a decent car anymore, space program shut to hell... all we do is talk trash!

  • @epjb226 I'm just curious, didn't you do your homework before you bought your truck? The Colorado has other faults besides it's side impact tests. It's not reliable, and the engine is rather weak ( the 5 cyl). If more people would do their homework and not buy junk from car manufactures, the manufactures would stop putting junk on the market.

  • I love my little Taco!

  • yea cant beat a toyota

  • hell yea!!!! Toyota rules once again!

  • recalled, tacoma. BIG 3 of any.

  • FORD RECENTLY KILLED A FAMILY

    BOYCOTT FORD!!

  • @FuckFordGM - You're stupid.

  • toyo's are da sheet! hate american shit

  • No the toyota is owned by a jap company. The others are american owned. So no its not a american company. And most of the parts are made in japan. The truck is assembled here.

  • My Tundra is about American as your Chevy's and Ford's.

  • 1:14 no point buying the Toyota for safety if you don't put your seat belt on anyway...

  • haha my friend drives a canyon told him not to get it, i own a dakota and sadly its not as great as the toyota as far as safety but dodge also hasn't been able to invest money all its productsl like it should. hopefully with them partnering with fiat they'll be able to bolster their line up and push toyota back to where they came from

  • Just get a base model 1500 if you're going that small on a truck

  • Why get a small pickup? They get the same gas mileage as a full size. Just get a full size and problem solved.

  • @CrashJSTest Keep talking dickweed you sound even more stupid every time you type a new reponse...

  • @CrashJSTest You sir are a fucking idiot. Have fun in your toyota. You have no idea what you are talking about. I cant argue with a guy with no idea on the subject....

  • @CrashJSTest I will always back up my country.. Its not your country if you do not support it!! And your toyota is probably at fault for the accident considering there throttle sticking and there japs leaders lieing about the problem and hiding it.. Great company... there cars and trucks are just as bad as they are... Obviously toyota isnt safe... there gas pedals stick, there cars are designed and built poorly... they are ugly as shit.. and there saftey ratings and sales have drop drastically.

  • @CrashJSTest Made here??? Maybe partially true.. But deffinitly not designed by americans or a american company.. All your money goes to a different economy. What do you people not understand about that. ITS A FOREIGN TRUCK.

  • I bet his small truck cost him as much as my loaded ram did

  • Rather die in a american truck then drive a toyota

  • @boobies1989 AND GOD BLESS THAT

  • @boobies1989 finally someone who loves his country! God bless America

  • @TheBlackeyedpeas1996 Thats right.. I also leave for the Marine Corp training soon :)

  • that is why you dont buy mini pickups ..... you wouldnt have that probelm in a 250 or 350 and thats a fact

  • I am from Europe, with all those nice US trucks, you still buy Japanese ones. I can't get it.

  • @KarelYalek could be because the japanese ones are cheaper ... a fully loaded full size american pickup truck is like 55K us dollars .... me personally id drive an f350 just for the fact that if you dont have a vehicle of equal or greater size you aint gonna hurt me

  • Isn't the Colorado a pretty cheap truck. I've only seen a few of them.

  • mine's??? wtf is mine's??? there no such thing as mine's... dumb cunt.

  • toyota makes prolly the best family vehicles....im 17 so i still wouldnt wanna own one :P

  • @DUSHANMANGRUE

THEN MOVE TO JAP TOWN AND SUPPORT THEM BUY GM AND SAVE america!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jlm00113 say wht?

  • He wins regardless. Toyota is superior to all the shit I saw in this vid. ^_^

  • everyone allready knows toyota is the best

  • You know instead of that dude buying a toy truck he could bought a real truck ie: a half ton or bigger, and then he wouldn't have that problem.

  • Asian vehicles are my crush zones-----support welfare buy Asian---

  • Asian vehicles are my crush zones

  • 0:24 LOL STUFF THAT

  • that was a issue with sticky pedel with american built toyota's, the Tacoma not built in america!! Secondly the pedel issue is a thing of the past.......how easy you forget Ford and Chevy catching fire from the ignition and poor engineering yet people still buy them!

  • @japnikki i just got off work building 18 tacomas here in San Antonio TMMTX 80% of pedal claims researched so far have been driver error not car defects (mats) all other recalls are just basic ass TSIB's that all companies have and YES american company recalls are because of poor engineering and have killed lots of people. agree a lot with you dude....but tacomas are built here in Texas.... yee haw to all bitches whooo! BUY IMPORTS! except Shelby Supercars, Corvettes( except 1981), and Hennessy

  • that was a issue with american built toyota's, the Tacoma not built in america!! Secondly the pedel issue is a think of the past.......how easy you forget Ford and Chevy catching fire from the ignition and poor engineering yet people still buy them!

  • While the Toyota may have the best side impact crash test rating I'd rather not own a truck from the car manufacture who's known for sticky accelerators.

  • @skins70 yeah i would much rather have a ford or chevy that would catch fire than a truck i can simply put in neutral

  • It's not that surprising. Compact/midsize trucks are the last thing auto makers mess with, the bread and butter vehicles that sell a lot get improvements every few years.

  • I drive a Dodge Dakota... I got in a wreck one time, would have been a side impact, but I was able to somewhat get out of the way, ended up being a front-left impact... Good thing it wasn't a side impact.

  • Ha, then his throttle got hung.

  • @fastfortress shut up

  • Is Ford ever going to redesign the Ranger for God sake?

  • @supreme2005 its been the same from the start lol

  • Im still buying Ford. :P KNow why? Cuz Im not a dumb ass driver....DUH.

  • @MSNIMSM theres dumbass drivers on the road though you can be doing everyhting fine but some asshole runs the red hits you on the side and because you bought the ford you are now dead.

  • @Jsoto1115 Not really. I have the possibility to walk away just like a Toyota. It depends on the luck of the draw. Ive seen people get killed in volvols and people walk with out a scratch from a Hyundai. Its the luck of the draw.

  • What else can you say cept, " I love what you do for me, Toyota!"

  • Toyota... moving you forward... even when you dont want to

  • @DieselGoose HAHAHAHA!

  • small pickups my ass, these things would be large pickups in 1990.

  • I still wouldnt buy a toyota.

  • Big cars are not always safer to take a look at the crash tests of Smart

  • @Airatius thats at like 30 mph though...if the car goes above lets say 40-45, you are screwed. buy a smart car if you are a daredevil or if u wanna be made fun of.

  • After all of the recalls now i wouldnt get that. VW is the answer

  • GOOOOOOD !!!

  • Wonder how he feels about his toyota now?

  • my car doesn't have airbags at all, if you are worried about the safety of a car, airbags isn't everything, the chassis design, the b pillar, and subframe structure are just some of the things that help make a stable, safe vehicle

  • The problem with this comparison is that some trucks don't have a full B pillar. The B pillar gives alot more strength to the car. The toyota does have a B pillar, wile some of the other trucks do not. Side air bags or not, when you have rear suicide doors, the safety cage is much more weak.

  • thats why i dont like most 3 and 4 door trucks. Fords suicide doors dont even make you feel safe, im always paranoid that if im in a wreck in one the doors are gonna fly open.

  • @JSpencerFan23 But the comparison is still fair, because the companies who decided to build their trucks without the B-pillar are just idiots. The comparison was out of small/midsize trucks, and its unfortunate that some companies slacked with side airbags/B pillar support.

  • Too bad that asshole who bought the Tacoma will be flying off the road into a tree with a stuck accelerator pedal.

Lets hope that side airbag was such a great decision maker.

  • toyota rules FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG! How does my 36 GMC tow truck rate then? :p

  • Holy cow, even in the top rated Tacoma that still looked like a rougher impact than I've seen in a lot of cars. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a smaller car t-bone a truck or SUV and flip it on its side or roof.

  • I put a GMC into an embankment at 35 mph, bent the frame with NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. GM said it wasn't fast enough...

  • Look at the front of the Chevy when it gets hit. Notice the front bumper, untouched, but nearly coming off.

  • no matter what the fuck your driving the side impact like that is gonna fucking kill you man. you can make it any safer then that

  • Love how the glove compartment cover just flies right off, injuring the other passenger

  • i always go with full size trucks... but thats just me.

  • fuck toyota.

if u want a tacoma go test drive a explorer sport trac, i bet ull see its a better truck.SAME CLASS.

  • ya, becouse if u see the toyotas bump test on its pick up cab, the thing was wobbiling like crazy, but the ford won!

  • whats that have to do with a crash test?

and when you find a road with that many bumps on it, tell me

  • Well the Ranger won't get any side airbags considering it will be dead come 2010.

  • yeah they didnt test the explorer sport trac, cuz that will blow the tacoma away. im going to miss the ranger tho.

  • I was reading that the F-100 concept was suppose to replace it.

  • oh furreal, thats tight, yeah cuz alot of people like and use the ranger.

  • Yeah if you go to google and tyype F-100 concept you will see news and photos on the upcoming F-100. It looks pretty sweet it's going to be based on the new F-150 frame.

  • Hmm, I guess it is kinda unfair to not mention the Explorer sport-trac. I actually hardly ever see it mentioned in most pickup comparisons. They didn't compare the Ridgeline either so maybe they just went with the smallest truck from a company and ignored the Ridgeline cuz it's not really a truck?

  • the sport trac is one of the most under rated cars of the past 10 years. ford screwed themselves on it by never advertising it. its a ridgline style design (ford was first)but much better looking and actually a truck!

  • ford has just announced that the ranger is still going to be made until at least 2012

why would americas best selling small truck stop already huh?

  • Well i didn't read that anywhere and besides the curren't ranger can't be produced until 2012 without a major redesign, because it won't meet the federal side impact safety standards that will be inplace by 2010 which is why the current ranger will die by the end of 2009. Maybe that was the Euro Rangers since they are built diff that will continue to 2012, but the american range won't.

  • thats true, then i think thell re-skin it then before they let the old faithful go.

  • The Tacoma was rated the best out of the rest and yet people still wanna make excuses. Fine...put your family in that Colorado then, mine's going in a Toyota!

  • @FullSpectrum25 aah, but you need to remove your comment, because this year, ford and volvo both recieved 11 crash test awards, toyota got 0

  • @FullSpectrum25 i bougth a tundra have you ever sen the side impact in that truck sturdy as a rock its ony my site if you want to see it if not just search it

  • @FullSpectrum25 WELL IF AM BUYING A TRUCK IM AM GOING TO SUPPORT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BECAUSE I WANT TO SEE HER THRIVE AGAIN AND NOW YOUR SAYING YOUR GOING TO BUY A CHINK OR JAP MAKE TRUCK PEOPLE BUY A COLORADO DUE TO PEOPLE LIKE CHEVY COES THEY R MADE IN THE USA AND GOD BLESS THEM ALL WHO BUY A AMERICAN MADE TRUCK.

  • @FullSpectrum25 and thats why our economy is down in ruins, none of the foreign cars made here such as hyundai etc zero of the profit stays in america it goes back overseas ,sure they pay employees, and girve jobs but the job are long shifts, little if any at all benefits, and toyota has been plagued with recalls, and if you still want a toyota buy a used 1995 toyota tacoma,or a toyota land cruiser those cars back then were built like a tank

  • doesn't honda have standard side air bags?

  • Great. I have a ranger. =/

  • when they showed the inside view of the toyota the roof of the centre consle flew off

  • So?
