i really want to do the Piatti's instead of Popper. but that would be a suicide mission and almost impossible. You have amazinggg technique and really bring out a great sound on the cello
HOLY! This is... inhumanely fast! O_O Lovely performance! The speed im playing it at? Is probably the tempo if you put your video in slow motion. Haha, thanks for the vid!
i definitely heard you play and bought a cd from you several years back! this is the fastest i've heard this played. i'm actually working on this right now! thanks for the inspiration! :)
Well, I was told many times I had been the fastest so far... Please, let me know if there is someone in the world who can perform it faster. I would love to meet that cellist! It is OK to play it slower on the audition; frankly the speed does not really matter as long as it is enjoyable for the listeners. :)
You inspired me to work on this caprice...I'm a high school student working on caprice #11 and I was looking for someone playing it here and found this and now I really want to finish with #11 so I can work on this one!
This video was shot at the private party on August 13th, 2006 after my recital at Los Angeles Museum of Arts (it was live broadcasted on the radio). The invitation to the party was unexpected and the performance happened impromptu. Names not to be named...
that's ruslan!

How can that guy talk over you?! I could never do that in the face of such awesome playing.

he is asking everyone to stop talking actually, plus he is a friend, and it was just a party, so it's ok :)

That was RIDICULOUS! Great job! I struggle with that at half the speed.

The speed is not as important as clarity :)

Who are in the audience? Did I see Maisky and Han-Na Chang?
Where and when was this video shot and was it just a private cellist party of like an informal masterclass?
