use the tachocontroller and controll the gear display, rpm override leds, 2 frequency (1-300Hz )controlled meters ( rpm and speed) and 2 pwm controlled meter ( tank and temp).

Data comes over serial port (e.g. s200r6500t90g25m5e = 200km/h 6500min-1 90grad 25 liters 6gear).

hello

for the speed and rpm gauge you need a frequency signal from 0..300hz.

so you have to program a frequency loop or timer. search in the web for this for you microprozessor and programming language you whant to use.

for the temp and gasoline meters you need a resistor from 20..250ohm to ground.

there are a lot of ways to do this.

you can programm a pwm signal and then a outputstage to simulate the resistor or you use a R2R resistor array.

Hi i use rfactor 1.255.

but the importent thing to get the data. So you can use other games with less data like LfS or GTR2

look on the gameplugin at the x-simulator.de pages.

Hi

YES this are normal tachos ! but you have to check first that this have connections for speed (speedsensor in the gearbox generate a frequency signal 1..300Hz) the rpm signal from ignigion system (frequency signal 1..300Hz) and the gasoline & temp meter signal ( the sensor are a resistor 20..300Ohm to ground).

if you have a tacho with a mechanic connection to the gearbox or a very new version with all data over a bus system it's not working.
