Ok, to the people that are getting the error: the example twitter gives you is JSON but you want XML. Change the URL so that the one that twitter gives you ends in .xml and not .json

@jefflogg make a textbox and make it dynamic and then give it an instance name of 'box'...

This is still not a very useful method because the PHP script will be requesting from the server instead of the client... so Twitter will eventually block too many requests from this one location (the server) within a certain amount of time. Not a good idea for high-traffic sites.

I would like to use this tutorial for my swish site, but I have other target (_root.twitter). If it load the twitterapiflash.swf, I don't see the text. What can I do? (I'm a beginner, please help me!) Thx!
