This looks really promissing. They only reservation I have is that every DW fan film I've seen so far, not only horribly miscasts the Doctor, but the interpretation by the creative staff of the Doctor is equally off base and bizarre. Hope you guys did something different by not doing something bizarely different.

1. Because an episode in set in America doesn't make the people who made it American. Lots of Doctor Who episodes are set in the States. "Dalek" took place in Utah.

2. What is with "fans" not knowing anything about the classic series. The Ice Warriors are old Doctor Who monsters. They came from Mars on the BBC series. Did you notice they were mentioned in "Waters of Mars"?

3. "Fire and Ice" was written and made before any of the "He is coming" stuff started.
