Please forgive the poetic license. The people in Dubai will be cutting off her funnel, ripping out the engines, and taking out most of the original decks. The shell will remain, and they'll then convert her into a floating hotel. I have no idea what they'll do with the bits they remove. It's all very sad.

my god it's just so sad & the pain of hearing she's going to be ripped apart is too much to bear.
She's fine the way she is now ,if it ain't broke don't fix it.

They're going to cut her up!? Is there usualy a sale of artifacts - like door handles or portholes etc when a famous ship is scrapped?
