I've just got a new laptop and this program has slowed it right down. At the moment its detecting scenes from an imported video file. Time 15 minutes. The likelyhood is I won't be able to do anything with the file once is loaded. Its a big file that wants editing. But this video editor isn't going to let me is it. all video software takes forever people. take it from an editor that sues sony vegas 9. to rwender in hd, it takes 5 hours. if u arnt good and dont want effects then use video spin. i use it to capture shit from my dazzle (a pinnacle product) and then export to sony vegas.

I just got VideoSpin and like it better than Windows Movie Maker because the audio quality is better with VS than WMM, but I'm having trouble with The Player of VideoSpin. When I try to play back my video on VideoSpin's Player, the picture freezes up right away, while the audio and bar below work and move along normally. Does anyone else have this problem with VideoSpin? Forums for both of these programs are no help. Thanks for any help. :)

IMO, WMM is the better program. Though, from what I see, its really based on how the program works for them. People may love WMM cos it runs smoothly for them (as it does for me) and hate VideoSpin cos it runs like crap and vice versa. I have to admit, VideoSpin looks pretty cool, but with a lack of effects and a capture option I'd rather use WMM. Besides, I can't even install VideoSpin, as the setup freezes every time I try XD

wmm is crap compared to videospin. this has a lot more effects than wmm!! and videospin actually WORKS on my computer and doesn't mess up UNLIKE WMM when the screen always starts to mess up with wmm and it would always freeze and my computer would restart when it's in the middle of publishing the video

while in VIDEOSPIN it has NO PROBLEMS, besides the codecs but i can do FINE without the codecs. just use wmv videos. what do u expect? it's a FREEWARE! anything better than videospin isn't free.

What are you talking about? Video Spin is completely free. I've used Windows Movie Maker for years now but it constantly freezes up and I loose everything. It was given a 1-star rating and when you try to publish something, 1 out of 4 times the files are corrupted and everything is gone.

Your reasons are terrible. Both slow down your computer. VideoSpin is free. VideoSpin's timeline is more accurate, making it easy to add sound effects. MM is only good for turning Fraps recorded videos into other file types. VideoSpin also has a MUCH better title editor than MM.
