This is all about privacy, why would you care, its not as if they (the people behind the cctv cameras) care about the odinary person at all. they see thousands of people walk past their cctv cameras every day, they dont give a damn about you. who cares if somone knows my eye colour or what nationality i have, the benifits out weigh the cons.
@XANDERXXZ - the issue lies in what 'they' deem as normal. Let's say that "they" decide to criminalise all brown eyed people...then it becomes more of an issue doesn't it?
I was in Heathrow airport in london and they made me stand on a certain spot and take a picture of my face and body.....then we went to a security desk, they scanned a special card and my face came up on the computer!!!
Does this mean i'm on government file?
Along with my family, including my six year old sister?
Bollocks are we losing individuality or freedom. I don't see what the problem is with a BB state. Admittedly, the trusted computing can fuck off since I know what im doing with a PC, but Biometric passports and CCTV?
You wouldn't be scared of these things if you weren't doing something wrong.
@Ristle - But you do lose individuality and freedom with something like this. I've never donw anything wrong in my life. Not even a traffic violation. So, I should have nothing to worry about by your theory, right? Wrong! I would act differently and be uncomfortable inspite of the fact that I have done nothing wrong. Why? Because I would feel as if I'm being controlled. Like it or not, CCTV cameras are puppet strings....
What makes you think that no human, now or at some future time, will ever monitor this information?
As humans set the policies to be programmed into the surveillance machine, what's to stop them changing the parameters of keywords?
Let's say that something you ordinarily do everyday is suddenly outlawed, like having a beard, for instance. With the power of technology like this in that hands of the few, one could be black-bagged and carted off to an internment camp..Let History speak
all of your points are ridiculous but the last two (regarding computer security and wiretapping). However you don't seem to understand the idea that no human looks at the information you send unless you lace it with keywords related to terrorism or crime. I honestly can't see the logic behind people being upset about cctv etc. unless you are a criminal why should you care if a computer records you doing your shopping? that being said gun control is bollox.
i understand, what revolution do we want, democratic, republican, is the grass greener on the other side. i stand natural to a government, i am me. no 6 x 9 cell will hold me or you if you choose. conform, conform, get informed.
This is great. I think this is on a lot of people's minds, but the sad truth is...not enough!
It's certainly on mine all the time. The government says it's trying to protect us with all this protection nonsense, but we are losing our freedom and individuality in the process, which are exactly the things the government says it is trying to protect
Added to favorites. Biometric scanning can also diagnose from the gait, speed and motion.."moods", "purpose of movement", balance of the "drive/balance" movement,+resperation rate (which can be refined as to hiring decisions,health/insurance), ...."intent of direction"(passive, agressive/ to threat levels) "social psychographics" . From the movie Brazil the question "what does a terrorist look like ? " Freedom of movement, under the "eye" what are you giving away and at what cost ?
Apart from them being pointless and not any use in tackling crime, fraud, or terrorism, they're going to cost billions, it's more big brother state control, the technology will be figured out by criminals and they'll be making fake ID cards for terrorists and other criminals making us less safe and more open to identity fraud, and our personal private details, fingerprints and iris scans will be lost by the government, stolen, or sold to private businesses without our say so.
its already too late... if we tryed to organize to stop this oppressive regime they would know about it and stop it before it ever got started... welcome to the new world order you may as well learn to enjoy it because its only gonna get worse.
I ask myself how often do I feel under threat from crime or the terrorist threat, and it is not as often as my fear of crooked bad political leaders , one reason terrorists gain support is genuine betrayal, not that violence can be condoned under any circumstances but in most ways we the little people reap what the corrupt leaders sow
Awesome video. Thanks a lot. Our government is getting way too big. We must stop the government and protect our freedom, independence and rights. The constitution must be protected.
Awesome video. Our government is getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger. We are moving at a very fast pace towards socialism, and then communism. Not good.
GOOD VID. the Federal Income Tax 1 unconstitutional 2 the amendment was never ratified. 3 35 percent tax 4 months of the year to pay tax. 4 no law exists. and all that money goes to pay the interest for the currency being produced by the fraudulant FEDERAL RESERVE BANK about as federal as federal express not one cent goes to any federal program whatsoever not one cent. this country is on life support, and its time to call the doctor. I have no problem with cameras in public places... because what you do in public is public anyway.
The other stuff is bullshit, especially trusted computing... that can go and die.
