It's Baltimore, for one. I would not assume any integrity in their teachers. Two, a police officer on duty can take care of any physical confrontation. Three, it's not the teacher's job to handle that part of it; a school administrator is supposed to handle that.

I happen to have seen this particular video and whole hearted agree with you about the teacher. He should have had the since to walk away. It's one thing to take students being disrespectful while your trying to educate them, but it's another to stoop to their level especially when jobs are so easy to loose in this profession now days. In Memphis, a HS coach was suspended because 3 players claimed he beat them. 1 player has since expressed he & the others lied, yet a teachers rep is ruined.
