saw downset tour this debut album with meshuggah doing destroy erase improve an machine head headlineing with the burn my eyes album in the sfx ireland to bout 800people...fucking good times...the place went off when they played this song..
Saw these guys at a place called the Birch Hill in Old Bridge , NJ back in 96 with Orange 9MM and the Deftones. Place was the size of a HS gym. I saw them 3 more times after that, in Chicago, Phoenix and again at the Birch Hill. It's a shame they're no longer doing their thing. They were bustin this style long before bitches like Fred Durst.
First time I heard this song was 93 0r 94 on a skimboard vidieo . I ended promoting a show in Philly they headlined with Dog Eat Dog , Madball and a band I managed, Hard Response.
With the death of the L.A. police Chef during the L.A. Riots this song is more important then ever...let us not forget April 29TH Florence And Normandy.
Haha. I used to talk to Social Ray all the time since I was into his first band and I got to see Downset's first show on Melrose in Hwood. All the members of CBS gang were there and they tore the place apart.
Man, one of my favorite 90s hardcore bands. I still remember just randomly buying "Downset." at the local record store and instantly knowing I found some cool shit.
fuk korn fuk limp bizkit.downset n rage started that scene.this shit still sounds gud.i was a massive korn fan,i listen to there shit now n think wtf.i sold all there cd's on ebay.
heard them first time in a movie, i´m worry about that i and the most others don´t know them in germany - rapcore is good, remember my youth.... think i go to buy my old bodycount-cd back
Downset the most stunned group, very much for a long time to them I listen and by the way very few people knows it at us in Russia. And today about them a little that is audible. Last time like wrote that write a new album. Who knows, what at them?
i can't believe i found this..when i lived in berkeley ca i back in 93 or 94 i got a tape of them..now that there's u tube i couldn't remember name for ****. i have been racking my brain for weeks...then i think of an old group i used to listen to in the 80's named leeway and another that a friend of mine used to drum for in n.y..biohazard then these guys come up...CRAZY...i can't believe how much time has passed...i miss the bay area and all my crazy freinds and fun now i live in l.a.
Im from Croatia and remember when friend came back from states and brought this tape , man it blow me away , oh and biohazard have even been here and that was a big thing then because of war and shit , fuck , those ware the days...
good old days...powerful live... saw them at the biohazard urban discipline tour. together with dog eat dog they warmed up...the peek at this concert were dog eat dog with about 70 people on stage...biohazard sucked later. but great concert for my 30dm these days (15 euros now)
