yellow SS is def N/A. go look up the specs on these cars video poster. I realize you're trying to act like your car can beat a Turbo/SC cobalt... But it can't.
quote for you from specs:
N/A SS 0-60 71. sec, and thats the manual
Turbo SS 0-60 5.5 sec..... yea not happening for you.....
S/C cobalt SS 0-60 6.1 seconds.... still not beating that.
Your Cobalt LS? 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. Keep telling yourself you're faster.
@simpfan2k6 the video was posted in 2007 before the tc was even released, wasnt trying to act like anything hahah... you realize i own a local cobalt club and the video was for fun right? Any way I know your kind and how you get off on running your mouth. tell you what if your car runs anywhere as hard as your mouth bring it around and ill let you run the ls as it stands, should be a good race. it takes almost 9 seconds to get to 60 so shouldnt be to hard for you to win....
yes you seem to know just as much as i do about balts my freind. heres a new 1 for ya... i have an ls Xfe with no mods besides tires and ive (not by much) slicked sti s, wrxs, and 2 srt 4s. no joke bud the 2.2 still rocks most everything. most beat it off the line but torqe kicks in and we get em in our powerband around 45 grand. every time i get in my car i wonder what itd be like to have an ss so trust me we dont need you to remind all of us ls,lt,and 2.4s that we are'nt as fortunate as you ;)
@ptester123 actually the do make a cobalt ss thah is non turbo and non supercharged i didnt beleive it at first but its true its one step above the sport vrsion same ss body kit wing everything..alot of kids claim they beat an ss when really its not shit...so study up alittle..
lol exactly. i mean, i drive a cobalt and it was originally 148, but im running 203 N/A and im fine with it. its a cobalt, its not fast nor was it meant to be fast. people will spend thousands on shitty cars like civics or cobalt, race their friends with audis and get smoked. then they blow their motors and fix em when all this time they couldve used the money for something more important...like a college education? lol dont get me wrong i like cobalts, but if you wanna go fast...get an s4
All that matters is the right parts and the rite tune... I4's suck... w/o room for twins uv got shit... need at least 6 cylinders to have anything worth driving...
turbo I4 would whoop most v6s..theres no substitute for engine size obviously but that doesnt mean theres some sick inline 4s.. ill show you sti's and cobalt ss's that would fuck v6's
@DASMEEJ lol i know u posted 7 months ago aha but i have a cobalt ss/sc and i walk all v6's and some v8's.. i walked a 328 bmw the other day.. i raced a mazda 6 walked it.. mustang gt beat it.. and there is a substitute for engine size.. its calledweight.. my car wieghs under 3k lbs.. mustang gt's wiegh like 3400-3500lbs..estimate havnt looked it up.. but thats alot of wieght.. but ya turbo I4 would rape v6's... unless the v6 has major work done..
I bought a 07 Cobalt LT. I had the choice of a SS with either a 2.4 n\a or 2.0 Supercharged. There was 20 HP more with the SS 2.4 but not worth the extra so I bought the LT. The LT\LS is very slow. I almost bought a 07 Solstice with the 2.4 but I chose a Mustang GT instead. The main raison; the 2.4 wasn't any faster than the 2.2. That explain why this race was even. 2 slow cars in fact!
im sorry but the 2.4 is slower than the 2.0 supercharged. i own a 2.4 and my best friend has a 2.0 SS/SC. We race all the time and im lightly modded with full intake and exhaust and he is stock and still pulls past me every time. on top of that the 2.0 Turbocharged in the 2008-09 models are way faster than the Supercharged ones. You can tell the Cobalt in this video was a 2.4 because it doesnt have the boosted Cobalts rear bumper with the lip.
People listen the red is a cobalt sport. it is an LT model cobalt with SS trim package. the motor is still the same 2.2L N/A Ecotec as the LS uses. that is why it was an even race.the new cobalt SS turbo runs 13.8 secs in the 1/4 mile on a well prepped track. just as a comparison the 2010 mustang GT with track package runs 13.5 secs. that is how fast the cobalt SS turbo is. i don't know how fast the cobalt SS supercharged is but it's not that much slower than the SS turbo.
jesus your an idiot. They did make a 2.4 it was rated 170ish hp instead of 145-155. They are faster than the LS-Lt 2.2's. They also respond better to modifications. they also come with a different suspension than the LT's so its not an Lt with a body kit. What are you the detailer or lot assistant at a dealership? Sport/NA SS models are 2.4 170hp. Also the GT stang with the track pack is a 30k plus car. The cobalts alot cheaper.
ok the video first of all if you look at the tags, the race is between a 2.4L ss and a 2.2 ls cobalt. the yellow car being the 2.4 ss becuase you can see that it has the ss body kit without the rear ss lip. The ls in red with no body kit, just an ss wing. The ls is modded some what and the 2.4 looks stock, it would make a pretty close race which it was.
why is it taking forever for you guys to catch on to the fact that the guy who posted the video clearly stated neither car was boosted, his car had mods, and the SS was just a 2.4(the yellow one).
What the hell are you talking about? LS's do have 148hp and SS's(non-SC/TC) have 171hp so I don't know where your UNEXPLAINED "wrong 260 hp" statement comes from. Make your posts more constructive.
Dude, you should look it up. The 260hp model is called SS Turbocharged which started in 2009 and has a 2.0L engine. Before that was the SS Supercharged, which was 205hp and also had a 2.0L engine. There are non-FI SS's that make 171hp. They use a 2.4L engine. Now look over at the tags for the video. It has 2.2 and 2.4, not 2.0, therefore I can safely assume the SS in the video is non-FI and makes 171hp.
LOl your all wrong. The Red cobalt IS an LS with a SC wing on it hence its got no rear Ground effects that a SC cobalt has. The right cobalt IS an SS its the 2.4 liter ss. So in escence it is an SS verses an LS just everyone's got the two mixed up because of the damn wing on the red one
The red Cobalt is not the SS/SC. 2 simple reasons. The rear bumper would have the extra 2" strip on the bottom and the tires are not the 18"X7.5" tires that come on the SS/SC... It's basically an LS vs LS
the one with the SS/SC wing is the ls the yellow one is the 2.4l SS. and trust what i said because i have a 2.4l SS and i know the difference in all 3 models back bumpers.
actually you are wrong with that the ls and ss both share the same spoiler but the ss/sc has ht bigger one but they have 2008 models out now that are turbo-charged with the ls type spoiler go check it out
no you are an idiot...the red one is a 2.2l LS cobalt with a ss wing on the back...no body kit and little exhaust. the yellow one is a 2.4l N/A ss model you can even see the ss badge on the back in the begining...also look at the little lip on the yellow one and the exhasust.
your both wrong. cobalt SS's used a 2.0L supercharged Ecotec from 05-07. and from 08-present they use a 2.0L turbo Ecotec. the 2.4L N/A Ecotec was used in the malibu's not the cobalt's. and as for the SS badge, it doesn't mean shit about what is under the hood. you can get one at any chevy dealer and install it yourself. i've seen it done before. people have an LS cobalt and they want to look cool so they stick the SS badges on there car to fell special. it's completely gay and screams RICER.
man you people are stupid....05-07 the cobalt had a 2.0l supercharged engine but as an option they had a ss cobalt with a 2.4l N/A engine....in 2008 they droped the ss supercharged and renamed the ss N/A to the cobalt sport....then in 2008.5 they came out with the ss turbo. and in 2009 the ss was also had a turbocharger. the yellow cobalt is the ss N/A and the red one is the ls with an ss wing.
your a fucking idiot dude. i work at a chevy dealer. they never had the 2.4L N/A motor in cobalts. they only had it in malibu's and HHR's. the SS models were 2.0L S/C and 2.0L T/C. there were cobalt sport and special editions but none had a SS motor. they still used the normal 2.2L N/A motor. the one thing i can tell you for sure is that there are no TRUE SS Cobalts racing in this video. just fake-me-outs.
oh really there are no such thing as 2.4l cobalts? i dint realize that motor trend dusent know what they are talkking about....o yea did i menstion i own one? like i said red=ls yellow=ss (2.4l)
also if youdont beleave me ill give u a link to motor trend that shows the cobalt had a 2.4l. mr i work a gm ; ]
okay so i've never heard of 2.4L. you got me there, but there is probably a good reason for that. there SLOW. that's why people get the superchared and turbo models. people don't care about about a slow ass 2.4L N/A model that has next to no power over the 2.2L N/A. you can hardly call that an SS. in my opinion, SS badge or no SS badge, there are still no true SS cobalts in this race.
ok ure opinion dosent matter to anyone, an ss is an ss. the 2.4l arent slow dip shit. they are the same pretty much the same thing except 2.4 obviously has more displacement and its cheaper. then u can do what i did take the money u saved and get a supercharger...guess what then ure faster than a ss...
i've never heard of them because they are slow. i typed it in here on youtube and got like 3 videos back. if i type SS/SC or SS/TC i get pages of videos back. so in the end their still gay. i don't care because i'd rather have a v8 anyway.
Typical moron who thinks cylinders always matter. if thats so true why is it that the porsche 911 gt turbo can beat v8s,v10s, and in some cases v12s??
i'm a moron ok. i like v8's because you can do more with them aftermarket. a porsche 911 gt turbo can beat some v8's so what, it also costs more. you can do whatever you want with a v8, drag, drift, track racing. a v8 doesn't care. i'm gonna tell you what i tell all import fans, the turbo is the balls of the imports. without it you have nothing on american v8's, why cause the engine is just too small. yes you can make big horsepower numbers with them but it's not street legal horsepower.
He is 100% correct a charged 2.4l cranks out 260-280hp at the wheels. faster than stock ss. and you can get a kit for the price you save. so everyone else whos talkin shit learn you shit first. idiots.
Really? actually a good number of them. Type in ZZP 2.4 cobalt on youtube search. Thats a stock cobalt ss 2.4 with a stage 3 ZZP turbo kit, with slicks it runs 11's. Low 12's on street tires.
just type in zzp 2.4 cobalt in youtube, theres like 4-5 videos of them. Also another common thing is doing a supercharger swap from the cobalt ss with the 2.0 motors. The 2.4's respond awesome to boost because some of their internals are forged and its a high compression motor.
@DASMEEJ since the 2.0 engine is only roughly 100 hp then the supercharger adds nearly 100. Jk Jk people say that every psi a supercharger adds its 9 more horsepower. so 12 psi x 9 hp= which is probably all bull crap.
LOL, you work at a chevy dealership and you dont know that they made a cobalt SS/NA? 06-07 they made them, they use the same bumper from the SS/SC's but they dont have the extra lip on the front and back.
In 08 they renamed them the cobalt sport, using the same motor as the SS/NA . 171hp and 163 tq, 2.4 litre, LE5 engine.
Perhaps it is the way the driver works the clutch, not the car's performance. A slow car can have a quick acceleration if you are switching gears at the right time.
There's things like torque steer to consider. whether or not the driver gets scared and backs off the throttle when the wheel jerks to the right when boosted. (it happens with the REAL SS) and things like how quick the shifts are. drivers always vary with shift speeds and if they keep in the gas to get a jump between shifts. or if they lift off the throttle between shifts. there's plenty of things to consider in a driver even if they are driving a straight line. not hating, just informing.
@matt7988 actually, i drive an 07 ls, buddy has the 06 ss, he beats me by 3 car lengths by the time were going 85... both great drivers, im sure the ss n/a would beat me by 1-2
@matt7988 you are completely wrong just because it says ss doesnt mean it supercharged and secondly i run against ss cobalts all the time and each time have one.
i personally think both of those are ss s/c.....why does everyone think one is an LS?...i hope it's not because the yellow one has a smaller spoiler cuz u can get a smaller spoiler on a SS S/C
wow LS's arent really that bad....atleast mine isnt lol i have more pride in building my ls up to run with the ss/sc i always mess with my bud in his ss/sc and he only has me by 2 car lengths at the track and hes runin 13s so any1 with an ls jst put bout a grand in ur car n shut the lil rich boys up
Put a grand in your car? A grand can only get you an intake, exhaust/catback, downpipe, headers, and a tune, no way you can run 13's with a grand lol, it takes an SS 2.4l like 3 grand worth for a turbo to get it to break into the 13's, but, who knows, show us a vid, prove us wrong :D otherwise, its not possible
My Turbo'd 2.2l pushin 18 psi would smoke most cobalts around. And by the way a ss/sc cost around 22,000 my ls cost 11,500 plus 500 for the ss/sc body kit and aruond 2,000 for the turbo kit. That equals 14,000...
My Turbo'd 2.2l pushin 18 psi would smoke most cobalts around. And by the way a ss/sc cost around 22,000 my ls cost 11,500 plus 500 for the ss/sc body kit and aruond 2,000 for the turbo kit. That equals 14,000...
you talk all this power but yet you dont have a video up???hmmm let me see here you shouldnt talk about what you dont have and if you do have it only what we see in a video is whats true...i have an LS with an AEM cold air intake and a N1 catback exhaust and i can prove that...click my name...
ok this is bs...my videos are of my cobalt lt vs my friends cobalt ss(non supercharged) and his car basically raped mine. he juss put the ss supercharged wing on an ls
lol. I remember a few races like this about 8 years ago, it would give everyone a nice break in between races. 15 seconds plus to do the 1/4 mile at 75 mph!
what people don't realize is that a stock automatic ss NON supercharged runs high 15's stock. it's really not that fast. so a 5 spd 2.2 (LS) with bolt ons can def. win against an ss. the auto tranny really kills the car.
yeah i test drove the LS before i bought my 2.4 SS and there is no way in hell the LS could win unless it was heavily modded and the SS driver started in 3rd.
the SS was a 2.4 non s/c and it was the yellow one, the ls was the one with the high rise wing. just because it has the wing dosent mean it was the ss s/c
yellow SS is def N/A. go look up the specs on these cars video poster. I realize you're trying to act like your car can beat a Turbo/SC cobalt... But it can't.
quote for you from specs:

the yellow is a 2.4 ss the red is the 2.2 model with the stupid wing. stupid video
isphius 3 years ago
Yeah, the left one isn't an SS. You can tell just by listening to the audio...no SC whine.
taylormichaelalmond 3 years ago
can somebody tell me the difference between the LS ans SS...doesnt SS stand for SuperSport which means it should be faster?
phatcat2334 3 years ago
that is an ss n/a not the s/c or t/c. and that ls is most likely modded and the ss is stock
sexylui08 3 years ago
That red ones not an ss its xfe which an ls with ss trim they have the same motor as an ls which is why it was an even race
ctom616 3 years ago
The red one is an LS with an SS wing, it doesn't have the SS bumper or exhaust.
manindermaninder 3 years ago
LOl your all wrong. The Red cobalt IS an LS with a SC wing on it hence its got no rear Ground effects that a SC cobalt has. The right cobalt IS an SS its the 2.4 liter ss. So in escence it is an SS verses an LS just everyone's got the two mixed up because of the damn wing on the red one
Raverrabbit1 3 years ago
The red Cobalt is not the SS/SC. 2 simple reasons. The rear bumper would have the extra 2" strip on the bottom and the tires are not the 18"X7.5" tires that come on the SS/SC... It's basically an LS vs LS
CobaltSSuprCrgd 3 years ago
the one with the SS/SC wing is the ls the yellow one is the 2.4l SS. and trust what i said because i have a 2.4l SS and i know the difference in all 3 models back bumpers.
Detrinova 3 years ago
no. the yellow one is the LS. i know cuz i have a yellow LS. the LS spoiler is smaller than the SS. and btw how does the LS win?
ohhsnapitsrinrin 3 years ago
Detrinova is right i work for gm i know it,
Red is only with sc wings and its ls maybe its been boosted and the yellow one is the ss 2.4L vvt when you check the yellow bumper and stock exhaust.
sdrulz 3 years ago
actually you are wrong with that the ls and ss both share the same spoiler but the ss/sc has ht bigger one but they have 2008 models out now that are turbo-charged with the ls type spoiler go check it out
tjwsnt2007 3 years ago
no you are an idiot...the red one is a 2.2l LS cobalt with a ss wing on the back...no body kit and little exhaust. the yellow one is a 2.4l N/A ss model you can even see the ss badge on the back in the begining...also look at the little lip on the yellow one and the exhasust.
perdedor3571 2 years ago
your both wrong. cobalt SS's used a 2.0L supercharged Ecotec from 05-07. and from 08-present they use a 2.0L turbo Ecotec. the 2.4L N/A Ecotec was used in the malibu's not the cobalt's. and as for the SS badge, it doesn't mean shit about what is under the hood. you can get one at any chevy dealer and install it yourself. i've seen it done before. people have an LS cobalt and they want to look cool so they stick the SS badges on there car to fell special. it's completely gay and screams RICER.
ZRider3591 2 years ago
man you people are stupid....05-07 the cobalt had a 2.0l supercharged engine but as an option they had a ss cobalt with a 2.4l N/A engine....in 2008 they droped the ss supercharged and renamed the ss N/A to the cobalt sport....then in 2008.5 they came out with the ss turbo. and in 2009 the ss was also had a turbocharger. the yellow cobalt is the ss N/A and the red one is the ls with an ss wing.
perdedor3571 2 years ago
your a fucking idiot dude. i work at a chevy dealer. they never had the 2.4L N/A motor in cobalts. they only had it in malibu's and HHR's. the SS models were 2.0L S/C and 2.0L T/C. there were cobalt sport and special editions but none had a SS motor. they still used the normal 2.2L N/A motor. the one thing i can tell you for sure is that there are no TRUE SS Cobalts racing in this video. just fake-me-outs.
ZRider3591 2 years ago
oh really there are no such thing as 2.4l cobalts? i dint realize that motor trend dusent know what they are talkking about....o yea did i menstion i own one? like i said red=ls yellow=ss (2.4l)
also if youdont beleave me ill give u a link to motor trend that shows the cobalt had a 2.4l. mr i work a gm ; ]
perdedor3571 2 years ago
okay so i've never heard of 2.4L. you got me there, but there is probably a good reason for that. there SLOW. that's why people get the superchared and turbo models. people don't care about about a slow ass 2.4L N/A model that has next to no power over the 2.2L N/A. you can hardly call that an SS. in my opinion, SS badge or no SS badge, there are still no true SS cobalts in this race.
ZRider3591 2 years ago
ok ure opinion dosent matter to anyone, an ss is an ss. the 2.4l arent slow dip shit. they are the same pretty much the same thing except 2.4 obviously has more displacement and its cheaper. then u can do what i did take the money u saved and get a supercharger...guess what then ure faster than a ss...
perdedor3571 2 years ago
i've never heard of them because they are slow. i typed it in here on youtube and got like 3 videos back. if i type SS/SC or SS/TC i get pages of videos back. so in the end their still gay. i don't care because i'd rather have a v8 anyway.
ZRider3591 2 years ago
Typical moron who thinks cylinders always matter. if thats so true why is it that the porsche 911 gt turbo can beat v8s,v10s, and in some cases v12s??
mrkrackie 2 years ago 3
so true
camopaint0707 2 years ago
i'm a moron ok. i like v8's because you can do more with them aftermarket. a porsche 911 gt turbo can beat some v8's so what, it also costs more. you can do whatever you want with a v8, drag, drift, track racing. a v8 doesn't care. i'm gonna tell you what i tell all import fans, the turbo is the balls of the imports. without it you have nothing on american v8's, why cause the engine is just too small. yes you can make big horsepower numbers with them but it's not street legal horsepower.
ZRider3591 2 years ago
He is 100% correct a charged 2.4l cranks out 260-280hp at the wheels. faster than stock ss. and you can get a kit for the price you save. so everyone else whos talkin shit learn you shit first. idiots.
mrkrackie 2 years ago
i have yet to see a boosted 2.4 cobalt
camopaint0707 2 years ago
Really? actually a good number of them. Type in ZZP 2.4 cobalt on youtube search. Thats a stock cobalt ss 2.4 with a stage 3 ZZP turbo kit, with slicks it runs 11's. Low 12's on street tires.
UnLiMiTeD558 2 years ago
yeah seriously, i've seen turbo'd 2.2 and a turbo'd and sc'd 2.0 but never a boosted 2.4 cobalt
camopaint0707 2 years ago
just type in zzp 2.4 cobalt in youtube, theres like 4-5 videos of them. Also another common thing is doing a supercharger swap from the cobalt ss with the 2.0 motors. The 2.4's respond awesome to boost because some of their internals are forged and its a high compression motor.
UnLiMiTeD558 2 years ago 2
since when did a supercharger add 100 horsepower? *coughs
DASMEEJ 2 years ago
@DASMEEJ since the 2.0 engine is only roughly 100 hp then the supercharger adds nearly 100. Jk Jk people say that every psi a supercharger adds its 9 more horsepower. so 12 psi x 9 hp= which is probably all bull crap.
tornadostorm18 2 years ago
@tornadostorm18 1 psi to 7 hp not nine.
jmreichert3 1 year ago
LOL, you work at a chevy dealership and you dont know that they made a cobalt SS/NA? 06-07 they made them, they use the same bumper from the SS/SC's but they dont have the extra lip on the front and back.
In 08 they renamed them the cobalt sport, using the same motor as the SS/NA . 171hp and 163 tq, 2.4 litre, LE5 engine.
Want to guess how i know that? I OWN ONE!
UnLiMiTeD558 2 years ago 4
haha yes. chevy dealer my ass.
perdedor3571 2 years ago
hahaha good post
camopaint0707 2 years ago
i take it that the ss is not supercharged and somebody just took a wing off and ss supercharged and just in on a regular ss
zjnf 3 years ago
sorry my computer screw that up, so they took an ss supercharged wing an put it on a regular ss right?
zjnf 3 years ago
Perhaps it is the way the driver works the clutch, not the car's performance. A slow car can have a quick acceleration if you are switching gears at the right time.
BoredTrucker1902 3 years ago
Either somebody's lying, or the ss is auto with bad driver, or the ls is running juice.
Even an ss 2.4 n/a would put about 5 car lengths on any ls.
matt7988 3 years ago 2
I dont understand how an auto can have a bad driver going in a straight line?????
rockstar1001 3 years ago 8
There's things like torque steer to consider. whether or not the driver gets scared and backs off the throttle when the wheel jerks to the right when boosted. (it happens with the REAL SS) and things like how quick the shifts are. drivers always vary with shift speeds and if they keep in the gas to get a jump between shifts. or if they lift off the throttle between shifts. there's plenty of things to consider in a driver even if they are driving a straight line. not hating, just informing.
JWalk857 3 years ago
@rockstar1001 trust me.. there can be lol
darthjerky 1 year ago
@matt7988 actually, i drive an 07 ls, buddy has the 06 ss, he beats me by 3 car lengths by the time were going 85... both great drivers, im sure the ss n/a would beat me by 1-2
SeanFarley25 1 year ago
@matt7988 2.4 n/a would not put 5 car lengths on my 2.2L stock, let alone w/ mods. i'd give it maybe 2 car lenghts if it's lucky.
liquidr0x0r 1 year ago
@matt7988 you are completely wrong just because it says ss doesnt mean it supercharged and secondly i run against ss cobalts all the time and each time have one.

i personally think both of those are ss s/c.....why does everyone think one is an LS?...i hope it's not because the yellow one has a smaller spoiler cuz u can get a smaller spoiler on a SS S/C
SunfireSL 3 years ago
the red one is the 2.2 and the yellow one is the 2.4
rockstar1001 3 years ago
so neither of them are supercharged?
SunfireSL 3 years ago
wow LS's arent really that bad....atleast mine isnt lol i have more pride in building my ls up to run with the ss/sc i always mess with my bud in his ss/sc and he only has me by 2 car lengths at the track and hes runin 13s so any1 with an ls jst put bout a grand in ur car n shut the lil rich boys up
cobaltgofast 3 years ago
Put a grand in your car? A grand can only get you an intake, exhaust/catback, downpipe, headers, and a tune, no way you can run 13's with a grand lol, it takes an SS 2.4l like 3 grand worth for a turbo to get it to break into the 13's, but, who knows, show us a vid, prove us wrong :D otherwise, its not possible
Iskarn 3 years ago
word. Not seen in this video, but im at about 5 or 6 grand right now : /

And my SS/SC would smoke your 2.4L. Don't get upset because a lower trim beat a higher trim car. Accept it, its possible.
ScytheSnake 3 years ago
My Turbo'd 2.4L would smoke your SS/SC...
Oh Yes...Ive met you and seen your car. LOL.
TNTAutosport 3 years ago
lol. Yes it would. Besides I suck as a driver. lol.
ScytheSnake 3 years ago
My Turbo'd 2.2l pushin 18 psi would smoke most cobalts around. And by the way a ss/sc cost around 22,000 my ls cost 11,500 plus 500 for the ss/sc body kit and aruond 2,000 for the turbo kit. That equals 14,000...

you are not pushing 18 psi on your car. quit lying to yourself.
rockstar1001 3 years ago
you talk all this power but yet you dont have a video up???hmmm let me see here you shouldnt talk about what you dont have and if you do have it only what we see in a video is whats true...i have an LS with an AEM cold air intake and a N1 catback exhaust and i can prove that...click my name...
SOCALxJEALOUS 3 years ago
ok this is bs...my videos are of my cobalt lt vs my friends cobalt ss(non supercharged) and his car basically raped mine. he juss put the ss supercharged wing on an ls
antwan17 4 years ago
right because you cant buy aftermarket parts and install them on your car right
rockstar1001 4 years ago
yeah my has a catback, cai, and headers....

lol. I remember a few races like this about 8 years ago, it would give everyone a nice break in between races. 15 seconds plus to do the 1/4 mile at 75 mph!
jasnm21 3 years ago
what people don't realize is that a stock automatic ss NON supercharged runs high 15's stock. it's really not that fast. so a 5 spd 2.2 (LS) with bolt ons can def. win against an ss. the auto tranny really kills the car.
D4u2s0t 4 years ago
which was exactly the case. Some more work has been done, hopefully it can get a stock ss/sc now :)
rockstar1001 4 years ago
what's done so far?
D4u2s0t 4 years ago
not all cobalts SS's are s/c
shadowspiyre99 4 years ago
yeah i test drove the LS before i bought my 2.4 SS and there is no way in hell the LS could win unless it was heavily modded and the SS driver started in 3rd.
Detrinova 4 years ago
haha from wut i know...the ss is auto bone stock and the 2.2 is 5spd with full bolt ons..hmm
iLLmaTic3s 4 years ago
the SS was a 2.4 non s/c and it was the yellow one, the ls was the one with the high rise wing. just because it has the wing dosent mean it was the ss s/c
fordcobra525 4 years ago
the bumper gives it away. the yellow is indeed the ss
mclaguy5783 4 years ago
i got a 2.2 and ill run your 500 tomorrow haha nice that is what i like to c
