I did have one absolutely, GORGEOUS all white cat whose owners had bobbed its' tail and trained that cat beautifully! Funny thing was, I found it...or rather, IT found me, while I was getting out my car, one snowy winter's day. It was thee most WELL BEHAVED cat I've ever owned. Brought it inside, and it stayed on the floor and would NOT jump up on ANYTHING! Never hissed, growled or even meowed. Even the vet and his assistants fell instantly in love saying how RARE such a find like that was!
I've had cats before...and ONLY one that acted up....towards my child who wasn't bothering it. When I saw its' behavior...out the door it and out my house it went with the quickness! I don't tolerate bad and ill tempered behavior in my home from any animal. On second note. make that 2 cats I've had that acted up and got rid of them when they each acted up. I refuse to get anymore and only had the one's I did because my daughter's each wanted one when they were little.

WHY in the hell would anyone want to have this wild beast around as a personal pet is beyond me. Damn, why can't folks leave wild things where they belong...out in nature doing what they should be doing. Not locked up in some house or apt for your personal visual enjoyment. Anything that eats RAW, UNCOOKED MEAT and tastes the BLOOD is a very dangerous animal. I pray for any friend or family member who happens to get jumped on and bitten severly by one of these things!
@mslegacy01 Pomeranians, Yorkies, domestic house cats and fish that you can buy at a pet store will eat raw, uncooked meat and blood. Humans would eat raw uncooked meat they I knew it wouldn't make them sick. You would be surprised what humans can eat, most of what you don't eat is just taboo. But raw meat is probably a bad idea. Point is that eating raw uncooked meat and blood is not a determining factor for 'wild' animals. Would you keep a bison or moose around? They are herbivores.
@mslegacy01 ok. check it. there has never been a RECORDED Serval attack in the U.S.A. I say RECORDED because they are illegal without a license and there have probably been minor scrapes and bites by illegal ones. Also, I weigh 200lbs and I have about 4%body fat. A Serval weighs about 20-ish-lbs on average. I am 10X bigger than one of these animals.....pretty sure i could take one if my life depended on it. They are wicked cute and I hope you have fun playing with your ant farm.
@mslegacy01 *face-palm* talk about uneducated. domestic dogs and cats do eat raw meat as well. should we just not keep any of them as pets? and should we allow deer, moose or even rhinos to become domestic just because they're herbivores?
next time you want to run your mouth, do some research first.
@mslegacy01 Feeding raw meat does not make an animal violent, I could feed my domestic short hair some and she would still be afraid of other cats, outdoors etc. You can do it to dogs too, And they're still nice.
@mslegacy01 You're right! We should ban all dogs and cats! They love RAW, UNCOOKED MEAT too. I bet they're super-de-duper dangerous, just like savannah cats...
Savannah is from serval family. The lynx breeds are aggressive eaters. NEVER put a hand on them when eating. They will develope a habit of taking food and hiding. Also the best rule to remember is to never put a finger between food and their mouth. They may mistake your finger or toe for a chicken leg. I raise servals, I know and hissing is serval speak. If their ears go back and the midline hair stands up...look out!
@j2eras I put my hand on him when eating all the time and he has no problem with it. This video is from when we first got him and his brother. He obviously wasn't used to me then and I wanted to film him hissing. He would only do that with chicken and now never does, he doesn't hide either. Their midline hair also stands up when they are happy but it is easy to tell the difference.
@eklectiktoni I would say that they all would to different degree's. My cats are 53% Serval so they have a lot of wild instinct. He doesn't do this anymore except to his brother when Chicken is around.
@pinksharpiexxx The chewing noises or the hissing? I'm assuming the hissing is what you are asking about. That is to protect his food. He is 53% wild animal so that is his natural instinct.
These cats are unnatural and a large part of why African Serviles are threatened.. the breeders ofter abuse and neglect their cats and profit from their pain.. anyone supporting the trade should not only be ashamed but imprisoned
My savannah does the exact same thing! And she's only two months old! She goes through at least four cans of wet cat food a day. When do you think she can start on dry cat food?
@NINJAkittehy If your breeder had wiened the kittens and slowly introdused them to cat food then they will probably eat it. You have to buy specialized cat food that does not have anything in it that is not healthy for Servals. If you do a google search you can find lists of reccomended cat food for them. Gluten free.
@NINJAkittehy You shouldn't be feeding your Savannah cat food at all, you will mess up their digestion and it can cause the runs. You need to be feeding it raw meat preferably.
@robynnblair He will eat the bones too. It is okay to give them Chicken bones as long as they are raw. Anything that is cooked will splinter and could cause them to choke or be seriously injured.
@Cristiano120100 The Chicken isn't bad but they go through a 15 pound bag of dry food in about 2 months. So it probably costs $30 a month or so, not to bad overall.
@Starlightserenity They don't really seem to hiss when happy. Hobbes will hiss when he is mad or when giving him meat. He becomes pretty primal about it. Tigger won't hiss unless he is really trying to scare someone or something away from him. They will chirp when they are happy which sounds very unique.
@peachgirl443 No problem. Thanks for the compliment! If you want to subscribe there will be many more videos to come. We have two very energetic F1's that play all the time. ;-)

My old Brown Burmese used to growl exactly like that when tackling a pork chop. That was about the only noise he did make though.

@mslegacy01 You do realize that dogs enjoy raw meat as well, should we kick them out of our house and leave them out in the wild?

@mslegacy01 wtf, are you an idiot? Savannah cats are not blood thirsty wild animals, they are mixed with domesticated house cats.
FYI, animals don't know how to light camp fires to cook their meat...yes even your happy-go-lucky dog is supposed to be eating raw uncooked meat.
Seriously people need to read or use google before they start spouting bullshit.
