I really love this movie and well, I am german, so I dont know all the facts about this history as I know in the german history but I know that it's based on true facts, even if not everything is right, but it is a movie, not a documentary report! same with the day after tomorrow. This movie is reminding us of all the important things in life. Love, freedom, a family..

oh and the trailer is very well done, I like it a lot =)

The films producers were, lets just say, liberal with some of the facts. But it doesn't stop Braveheart from being a great movie and story. The last scene with Wallace always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.

For the real story of how the english bought off the Clan chieftains and totally screwed over the scottish farmers who were on the land, see Preebles, "The Highland Clearences" in Penguin pocketbook,.....It's not for nothing there are more Scots in US/Canada than Scotland.
