Nice to see as far as you've got.. :) The artificial 1:1 scale figures at Hendon are very realistic.. more realistic than the figures in HMS Belfast I seem to remember.. :) That masking tape that you use (which I think is from Tamiya - correct me if I'm wrong) really does work, and they don't have it in the model shop.. :( Looks good so far.. :)

@BradThunder Well, I posted the video (so far) on this channel as a favour to somebody else.. Hopefully I'll get round to finishing this in July (when I have a couple of weeks off work) pending time and other projects.. and if I can find some interesting decals in time.. :)

@AlanMartinNala I need to put some filler around the clear window that I cut out, as the fit isn't perfect! I didn't discover my mistake until it was too late. :( Also the decals let me down terribly, but the main reason I painted the red bands in the first place is that they supplied decals for the bands on the wings, but not for the red part on the fin, and I wanted the colours to match so I painted it ALL. Will work on it again during my summer hols in July, I hope. Glad you liked it. :)

@weeyin1155 Well, at the moment there is no end result, in as much as a lot of things went wrong in the last minute.. :P But somebody wanted to see the build so far, so I posted the video here rather than on my modelling channel.. :)

I like the first image showing the airplane with crew around it...when I was about 12-13 years old, I knew this supt who flew in ww2, maybe he became a pow, i saw his air medal but don't recall others...he may will be deceased by now... and I don't recall the plane he flew, one of the biggies..if I can learn something of him at ancestry, I will let you know but if you hear nothing, then I found zilch...why was I not more inquisitive at that age?

@tankman13p66 There will be a full video on the other channel, once I have found a set of suitable after market decals, as the kit decals let me down totally.. :( That's why the model isn't yet completed.. :)
