@dasadopeboy Robert was not missing its a remake meaning a revison of a horror classic meaning a different actor will play Freddy. Robert said in a recent interview that hes so happy that Jackie Earle Haley is new Freddy Krueger because he himself is fan of his work. Robert said quote Jackie Earle Haley is one best actors to come along in last 50 years of film. Robert feels the legacy of Elm Street should be retold to a new generation of horror fans and he supports the remake fully.

She said it was an "ambitious film" that had a lot of "integrity" but he felt "it was a bit cold". In the video "Spooky Empire 2010: Nightmare on Elm Street Panel " he says he "wanted to like the film". He says he "didn't invest in anybody" but the boy "galand(idk)".

If you compare the sequels to the remake you will notice that remake is very serious like original film because in Dream Master Freddy is ridding a bloody damn freaken skateboard. In Freddys Dead Freddy is ridding a broom stick but in the remake he very serious and cracks sick twisted jokes. The remake brings back everything that was great about the original Freddy.

1st off, It was Dream Child in which he rode the broomstick.

2ndly, yes....it did bring back a less comical Freddy...however, Jackie's performance is somewhat dull as nightmare Krueger(but fantastic as gardener Krueger). Englund was always Freddy inside and out. Englund made Krueger iconic.....Jackie will not have that. He's a great actor, but great acting does not mean people always fit the parts they are given.

The original Freddy had so much character and charisma and he would've kicked the new Freddy's ass. I saw the screening of this movie. We all know that nothing will be better than the first nightmare on elm street with Wes Craven directing and Robert Shave. But the movie wasn't bad at all. I think the best remake I've seen yet. Because I did not like the other remakes of Jason or Halloween. I was a lot darker.
