@oriola26 agreed, what a beautiful film, i have the criterion version. i know a guy from usa who dismisses european cinema pointing out that "americans are better at making movies, the acting is better plus i don't have time to read subtitles and looking at the screen"....what he said is probably the most stupid, racist, naive, square minded opinion ive ever heard, i felt shame for him :(

tatiana was STUNNING, and extremely talented too.. an audrey hepburn type, emotion held in check but about to burst..

the story lagged and ebbed throughout IMHO, but the photography and the characters, and especially the performance of Tatiana, had me absolutely GLUED to the screen for the entirety.. and it was 2 am late night viewing! Couldn't stop watching..
