  • You people are fucking jokes.

  • How do you think we domesticated dogs? What about the horses many hold so dear?

  • Good luck in changing the world, at this point I've lost all faith in humanity. Too many ignorant people.

  • I have people asking, where did the numbers come from in the statement that for everyone 1 animal trained 30 die?

  • This almost made me cry. I hate people. And I hate zoos, circuses, and whale shows. Why can't people leave wildlife the heck alone?? I would like it very much if these people died a slow and painful death I hate them.

  • I HATE THE CIRCUS (not The song just like a circus)

  • i hate when people take animals out of their habit and abuses them.

  • Circus's are terrible.:( Wild animal's should be free. Not locked up in cages.:(

  • Does your organization have any affiliation w/Animal Planet? If you do, PLEASE ask them to make a nature show that DOESN'T show wild animals struggling to survive, but instead how HAPPY they are! Ppl seem to be getting the wrong idea, that these animals are HAPPIER in captivity bc of food, housing, "safety"...We NEED shows showing how much they ENJOY life in the wild & maybe ppl will gain empathy for animals in captivity! OR a show exposing training/breeding methods for performing animals..??

  • @4Champ2and0 We're not affiliated with t hem but we have been featured on AP and will be on nov 18th in an episode of Fatal Attractions. It's interesting I have never thought of that, we get quite a few comments where people say the cats are safe and better off in captivity, we definitely need a show exposing training/breeding methods for performing animals, that will be the best solution.

  • @BigCatRescue Oh I'm glad to hear of ya'lls appearance on the 18th! I hope ya'll can convince AP to start exposing breeding/training methods of performing animals in ALL industries. Race horses, circuses, sea world.. the possibilities of places to expose is almost endless.. You could tell them too, that it would be great after their (in my opinion) HORRIBLE show 'Jockeys'. AP should be HELPING animals, not promoting industries that destroy them! I'm sorry, I get upset..but thank u for all u do!

  • i watched the whole thing and now i under stand why that man stood up in the middle of the circus i was at and said ''STOP THIS MADNESS!WHAT DO YOU SEE?A LION PLAYING AND ENJOYING IT SELF? NO I SEE A LION BEING TREATED LIKE DUST,LIKE IT WAS NOTHING!'' and then police came and took him out, he was right.

  • I hate the circus!

  • Down with circus!

  • On a happier note, anyone wanting to see a great show that doesn't use animals, check out anything that Cirque du Soleil has done. Amazing skill, humour, and showmanship all cruelty free :D They're my favourite.

  • There are also a number of 'animal performers' that get too stressed out they snap and lash out. The sad part is, usually when that happens, people blame the animal for 'going crazy'. If you were yelled at, starved, locked in a cage, hauled around in chains, and beaten with canes all day, i think you'd snap too. The animal is just acting on instinct, trying to escape a situation it can't tolerate. The animal doesn't know any better... the people do; put the blame where it belongs.

  • Wow thats true

  • this made me cry

  • These poor animals!

  • Thing is, there aren't many circuses like this anymore, and it's mainly because of the cruelty. You included a bunch of ancient pics.

  • @Scullnblades Like what? I don't understand what you are referring to? We included all the ancient pis not only to show people what circuses were like in the past, but to show people how little as changed.

  • @BigCatRescue Maybe if you were to compile a list af all circises that use wildcats, or any non domestic species, it would make a good point.

  • @Scullnblades No, I saw those tiger circus actually in Thailand, those are not ancient pics. In thailand, Tigers always used to attract tourists because they are beautiful and powerful.

They pet them and let them think they are pigs, actually you can see tigers feeding bigs there, also bigs feeding tiger cubs.

I was there last winter and tigers were beautiful. But some tigers actually starving, because they put them in a cage and let tourists feed them, the stronger tigers always get the food

  • Cub at 5:23 is adorableeeeeee!!!

  • @waffless so you find the abuse of helpless animals amusing?

  • @eljaable it cut out the part i posted where they used to use horses and long horn bulls and that its people like you that make it possible to abuse these (wild) animals....

  • I hate the circus

  • i would love to band the circus for ever and there will be no more circus i hate the circus

  • A friend of mine had been to a circus and said it was great. I naturally asked if there were animals, and yes there were. I replied I would not go to a circus that uses animals no matter how great the non-animal parts were. I could not enjoy it. Another friend asked why. They seemed to have a hard time grasping that it's not fun for the animals. I had a hard time believing they couldn't see that living in a cage and forced to do tricks isn't fun. My opinion of my friends suffered quite a blow.

  • Yay fun kitties. This video makes me want to go to the circus so bad.

  • why do they do this i mean if it wasn't for the tigers and lions the circus would be out of business and i really really hope that i get a circus ticket just so i can scream the truth and tell everybody there whats going on who knows i might even yell at the owner of the circus it would make me SOOOO HAPPY.

  • you really dont have a clue do you? i think you should seek the truth instead of this false proaganda compiuled from lies and animal rights terrorist crap

  • What can we do to help these animals?

  • @Megahammerheadshark Demand animal free entertainment, sign petitions, let the circuses know you disagree with animals being "performers" if the public stops attending circuses using animals they will have no option but to change what they do :)

  • @Megahammerheadshark Go see the Cirque du Soleil.

  • I love cats so much! I think these people who own circuses are not thinking right at all. Why can't people understand the beautiful, smart, yet innocent animals. I also think it is very mean and rude to take baby cubs from their mother and force them to play tricks and nonsense. All I wish for is ending wild animal abuse, and have those wild animals to sent to special santuaries and tooken care better and wiser. Thank you all Big Cat Rescue. P.S I am a big fan of Big Cat Rescue,

  • I guess it's the same path that slavery was abolished. Too bad greed rules the world and with so many wealthy today, it's harder to make change. These are animals and I totally agree. That's why I find it hard to believe anyone could ever agree another human should have been treated like that.

  • totally wrong!! Most circus are with their animals all the time.. the acts is like playing... how many have been killde for their skins and chinese medicins?? because of circus wild animals are still on this earth.. Wake up!!

  • @eljaable Did you actually watch the whole video?

  • @BigCatRescue the elephant made me sooooooooooooooooooo sad

    plus all those big cats:(

  • @eljaable ok so thye can snatch you beat you whip you starve you and make you do hings you wouldnt want to do and then discard you when you are too old? this i swhat they do to these animals!! it is because of people like you bull (they used to use only these in small circuses) and the othe ranimals belong in the wild or on the reserves that help to save these animals! besides if you were caged up and made to mate with your sister to punch out the next act would you be happy?

  • This is why I hate Circuses that have animals in it. All circuses abuse animals every day. This is why I never go to circuses. I would rather see tigers, lions and other wild animals in the wild where they really belong.

  • This is why I hate Circuses that have animals in it. All circuses abuse animals every day. This is why I never go to circuses.

  • @ARTLKING sorry but you couldnt be further from the truth you really dont have a clue

  • my mom asked me to go to the circus- the entire family was going. i refused. it was meaning not getting fed for that day XD (only dinner.) they said they saw white tiger hopping around- ligers jumping through hoops. and i exsplaned to them what the humans do to the animals; we never whent to the circus agein.

  • @lilletanna GOOD JOB!

  • @BigCatRescue woot woot.

  • I get the message but her voice and the way she speaks is so annoying.

  • every one that sees this comment thumbs up for all of the poor animals getting abused in the circus favorite the vid to make it well know through youtube and people will take action of what they are doing and who would dislike this that is messed up

  • this is too sad for me i never liked the circus because of these reasons cause the animals get abused !!!!! my friend works with the circus on the trapeeze and everyday when they practice she sees the abuse of the whips hitting the animals some times she just can't help it not to cry!!!!!! they need help!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @mmyyoeuttube All animals in circuses are being mistreated and the laws state that these animals can be caged for up to 60 days in a cage only large enough for them to stand up and turn around in...

  • Comment removed

  • @mmyyoeuttube Why would you post a comment full of incorrect info? Especially one you didn't write? We have about half a dozen cats that are former performing animals, we would much rather them be given a home at BCR for the rest of their lives rather than the alternative.

  • my mom never took us to a circus for all those reason sad to say many people don't know the truth behind caged animal 24/7

  • The only good circus is an animal-free one!

  • I wish the animals can talk so they can say "Don't touch my mo fo" THen bite the trainers hands off..

  • @anthonyMckewl

    ahahahah ikr

  • That was very eye opening..

  • I wish they could just ilegalise crap like this.. Cirkus animals, furs, hunting for sport, cars (except for electrical ones). Is it so g*d D*MN hard to actually do something about what's clearly wrong! It's just so F*CKING STUPID!! *Argh!*

  • this is so biased...im sorry but allot of circuses give the elephents allot of room to run around this stuff is from like the 80s mostly the elaphents are there for parades ridieing.etc atleast thats most circuses animal abuseing is sorta rare...what are yyou getting this info from the getto circus?

  • @dragonbrad98 i think youre missing the point. why do wild animals need to act as our personal entertainment? training domesticated animals (like dogs and horses) to do tricks is one thing, but force training an elephant, tiger, bear, lion, etc is another. i dont need to see a tiger balancing on a trotting horse to appreciate the tiger. its degrading, pointless, and stupid.

  • @dragonbrad98 Yes circuses have changed in many ways. I went to a circus in the town next door to mine in Australia, the Ringling Bro's circus which has monkeys, lions, horses, camels, ponies and dogs. Now the circuses in my area provide some space - especially for the horses, but the lions paced back and forth, they had no claws, they watched the traffic in the distance with hungry eyes - they wanted to chase something, they wanted to roam. Even when they provide more, it is still not enough!

  • @dragonbrad98 Oh and as for elephants, you do realise that even with vet care, healthy diet and some space provided, it is still degrading to contain an animal, use it for entertainment in such a way as circuses do. Elephants in the wild roam a hell of a lot more and have more benefit, even ones in large zoos like Dubbo Zoo (id rather see them in a big zoo than a circus) than any circus...Elephants in zoos and circuses can still show signs of stress due to their envrionment not being suitable

  • @Missrainbowmuffin just like its degradeing to make a dog sit?...>.>

  • @dragonbrad98 Training a dog differs greatly to that of training an exotic animal...think about it, a dog is a domesticated animal, which can be trained using the reward method...with an elephant or tiger, lion and monkey...things get tricky...circuses are not well known for using the reward method...if you think they got Dumbo's cousin to stand up on it's front legs by giving it hugs, treats and commands, you clearly need help XD These exotic animals are not pets, and they are not like your dog

  • Circus should be banned. All of those fucking abusing trainers should burn in the deepest part of hell.

  • @SoulBloodJVL ain't that the truth.

thats why i punched a trainer in the face the other day

  • Poor animals 3 =

  • Can't we put the trainers in cages, let them starve to death and release the animals to their home? :(

  • One of these days, I'm going to the circus and stealing animals. Then taking them to big cat rescue.

  • @wq47Dyami

actually I think that would get them in trouble. You should just file a complaint to the local ASPCA and tell them the circus is being cruel to the animals.

This way only the wrong doers get in trouble.

  • @Werewolf2030 Well no duh. It's called illegal xP

  • @wq47Dyami

the hell are you even talking about???

  • @Werewolf2030 -_- Look up.

  • @wq47Dyami

I did....dude I have no idea why your snapping at me and acting the way you are. I was replying to someone else and maybe you got confused, because nothing that I have said on this video was related to you reply. Maybe you were trying to reply to someone else.

I don't know and I'm not going to argue with you.

  • @Werewolf2030 Actually you're the one who snapped, lol. I love how you're accusing me of shit I didn't even do. And if you were replying so somebody else, why does it say "@wq47dyami"? I guess you were the confused one.

All I know as that I don't want to argue any further with someone that doesn't even know what the hell they're trying to say.

  • I never really liked the circus. I only liked watching the magic tricks. But over all I really wish they didn't use the animals. The circus should think about it. The amount of money in training, feeding, and cleaning after the animal after every show must cost a lot and I'm not amazed at all with the animals trick especially knowing how they treat them. I'm more amazed at a homeless in SF trained mice sleep on top of a cat while the cat sleep on to of the dog.

  • The more i love animals, the less i love people. We, animal lovers, have to fight for the right of the animals. Awful to see and thats why i do not go to a circus if there are animals in it.

  • big cats are the BEST

  • I agree that most of what circuses and such do is wrong- BUT not all the time. There are ways to train animals kindly and to take care of them well.

  • So sad. No wonder sometimes animals lose their minds and go off!

  • i got some circus tickets in the mail the other day with pictures of elephants standing on 2 legs and tiger s all over and i am proud to say i threw them out :)

  • what the hell are the PETA guys doing anyway???

  • @Igorotzky009

PETA are nothing but cam whores ( to put it bluntly). They don't care for animals in the least and they have little to no knowledge of what they are talking about.

  • if i was a tiger int he circus i'd rip my trainers face off and eat everyone. Don't the big cats know they are capable of shredding all those horid people??????????

  • @Teddie120

No they don't know, their spirits have been broken. And if a tiger or lion does attack a trainer they are usually killed for being dangerous or a maneater. It's a sad thing but it's true.

  • Why do people SUCK?

  • When I was young I enjoyed watching BBC documentaries about wild animals.Big cats, especially tigers, had become my favorite animals because of their beauty but also because of their strength and their capacity to survive in harsh conditions. When I had my first(and last) circus experience and saw a bunch of tigers doing everything that a sorry looking dude commanded, I was something like:'What have they done to my favorite animal?' I was hoping that by the end of the act one would kill the guy

  • @Vlaxitov I see what you mean, and I agree with you completely.

  • @altarush

Its called Cirque du soleil & its from Quebec ,Canada.

My daughter trains at the Cirque du soleil & Tohu, Montreal circus schools.

The Tohu circus is similar to the Cirque du soleil since both circuses are without animals.

  • Can you get cat scratch fever and cat bite infections with Big Cats?

  • I can't stand all this, it needs to be stopped

  • Why do they treat the animals so mean?

    I had always wondered that...

I've never went to a circus before and I never will! Those poor animals!

  • Why would someone try to train a wild animal? Are they that dense? The only way I would support a circus is having animal act's to be shut down permanently and never to be used again, The people wouldn't put up with this cruel nonsense why should the animal's go threw this misery just so people can watch the kitty stand on it's back leg's? I doubt the trainer's would want the tiger's and lion's to use their teeth and claw's to prove their not some fluffy toy you can just throw around.

  • In Denmark it's forbidden to show Big Cats at the circus...

BUT circus can be cruel in many ways...I once knew a horse, who's tongue had been cut halfway, because of the speciel bridel used at the circus ;-(

  • Is it true that there is supposebly more Tigers in captivty than in the wild?

    I've always wondered that.

  • @TheCrazySpot Yes, there are around 3000 in the wild and there are more privately owned tigers in the USA not counting zoos and safari parks etc.. than what are left in the wild.

  • This is soo sad. ALL ANIMALS SHOULD BE IN THEIR NATURAL HABITATS!!! It PISSES me off when dumbass idiots don't realize that. I would love to throw them in an ocean and say "this is your new habitat try to survive there" and watch them drown

  • @Jaclyn11495 I prefer seeing that new french type of circus called cirques sol something?

  • I'd rather die than go to a circus.

  • Caramel popcorn.

  • thats just so sad. I never knew wild cats were treated like that in circuses. I dont think Ill go to another circus again.....

  • Great vid

  • great video ...the only way i go 2 a circus,if it were all animals in the crowd & caged people being whipped & having blowdarts shot @ u ...u SCHMUCKS fuck u all that go 2 circus`s... hope u choke on ur popcorn!!!!

  • i can't watch anymore.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

  • I shared this on Facebook. When it comes to circuses, Cirque du Soleil would have to be the pick of the bunch! Circuses with animal performers should be monitored; also, banned!! So not cool!!

  • BURN IN HELL YOU BASTARDS!!!! How dare you to make this wonderful animals suffer like that?? They should get killed by a Lion, a Tiger or even a Horse!!! My heart starts bleeding when i was watchting this video :( I love all animals on this cruel world (especially horses and Cats) and i can't see them suffer like that! They should be free and the humans have to leave them alone!!!

  • I cant even watch this anymore, because i am so hurt.

  • We can be a disgusting species can't we.

  • these humans are retards

  • Thats absolutly horrible!!! :(

  • The other sad part is that the children that go normally don't understand. If I knew when I was younger what I know now I'd never have asked to go.

  • this makes me so fucking mad.

  • Oh so very sad

  • i hate the circus poor animals :'( animals should be in the wild or a place like the bigcatrescue center, animals should not be put to the circus! there is alot more u could do at a circus then just putting animals in a preformuence! i mean in the future most of the animals are gonna be extincete through huntting and the circus. yeahh ok they might get some treats now and then but if i was a circus animal i am sure i would be sad and ia m sure the animals would rather be in a zoo then there!!!

  • This is why I hate and despise homo sapiens, each and every "trainer" and any human involved in animal (ab)using circuses (YES, EVEN THE AUDIENCE), would deserve to be left alone in the same cage with the animals they "train"/watch for entertainment. I for one, love to watch those a-holes get mutilated painfully when the abused creatures decide enough is enough, too bad these people usually survive when some other a-holes come in with guns. Shows how pathetic and weak our species really is.

  • I will never go to a circus, and when i have children I won't take them to circus. This is just sad, and how could some people thinks circus is entertaining? What so entertaining watching a poor animal do what those people wants them to do just so they can get money? Why is it always about money? Don't they care about a living innocent creature more than money? -.-

  • mismatchedmongel--I would respond more to ur stupid comment but you seem to be a waste of space!

  • Yes?! It's very, very sad

  • I've been to a circus once when I was a kid, and never wanted to go again because I could see the animals didn't have fun. And that was on stage, I could easily imagine what it was like for them when there wasn't an audience around. Some people try to say the animals just loove performing. Yeah, right. Being forced to parade around for entertainment sure sounds like fun.

  • Big Cat is here providing a message to people that are unaware of the evils of the circus and you dunderheads who want to come on here and make your ascinine comments are definately not dealing with a full deck....Big Cat is definately the authority of these issues so if you want to spread your propaganda why don't you have the courtesy to do it on your own delusional channel which I did check out..Big Cat has more experience on these issues than you probably have years on the planet!!

  • Abbasso il circo, nessun animale deve rimanere rinchiuso in gabbia o addestrato per far divertire l'uomo. chi siamo per decidere della vita di un altro essere vivente?grazie per questo messaggio

  • This made me laugh at the hypocrisy Big Cat Rescue practices.

  • @MismatchedMongrel you must be joined at the hip with the other two einsteins!!

  • Hahahaha... ricketts

  • I went to see "Sarah The Tiger Whisperer" many years ago at Barnum &B Circus and I thought she was a Goddess. THEN I went to Big Cat Rescue and it blew my mind!! I've not been back to a circus or a zoo since!!! It's so inhumane to use these beautiful animals and then throw them away when they're not needed anymore! Heartless bastards!

  • @Suzan4B

    Is horrible!!!!

  • this is wronge poop anaimals expeshilly tigers

  • @lisy1231 first of all, i'm probobly younger than you and i can spell much better than that, and second of all, are you saying you hate animals!?

  • @pigandcats sorry i ment to say poor animals i love animals :)

  • This is EXACTLY why I don`t go to animal circuses.

  • This video makes me cry :(

  • I have thought about this for a long time, but I will NEVER again support ANY wild animal act. I will not see them, I will fight for them to be shut down. I will encourage my neighbors and friends to boycott them. I have listen to their causes for years, now they can listen to mine. If I go to a circus, I will go to the non-animal Pickles circus. Between you and the Elephant sanctuary, I have had enough of this.

  • It's a paradox of nature when we bring the animal from their habitat in such great numbers that they become extinct.

  • If you want to see a show with "live animals", go to the "Walking With Dinosaurs Live", a stage-show with lifelike full-size dinosaurs, and no real animals except a human narrator. I vastly prefer seeing a lifelike puppet routine of a large creature than seeing a performing animal.

  • I'm going to say this again. Circuses mistreat animals for use of entertainment. Zoos educate the public about animals and conservation, and conserve species, and the majority of zoos accommodate their animals well, in naturalistic conditions, with proper responsible care.

Lumping zoos and circuses together is just stupid, it's apples and oranges.

  • @Piatnitskysaurus They've done studies... Globally. Guess what? People - Visitors to zoos spend less than 30 seconds at each "exhibit". All this confinement... Suffering... Isolation... Families split apart... Artificial diets... Forced "breeding" to make "sellable" babies... ALL THIS - For less than 30 seconds of "our" pleasure??? And "education"?Please - We can learn all we want to know about animals through books and the web.Nothing justifies a wild animal in captivity-unless a "rescue".

  • @beaelliott You have to lump it all together "globally" to make it look bad. The lions at the zoo I go to get sprawling acres as far as the eye can see and you ride something like a ski lift overhead to see them. The only thing thats different for those animals in the wild is lack of medical care when they get sick and die and for some, lack of another animal waiting to eat them. Small price to pay to preserve species that are otherwise being hunted to extinction in their "natural habitat."

  • @Vlaxitov - Hey! What a great reason to stop the hunting and seriously crack down on the poaching! Where did the lions at your zoo stolen from? How many others in his pride-family where taken elsewhere? Who are really the lion/tiger "predators"? How many females are subject to constant impregnation in order to have fresh, cute cubs to sell more admission tickets? How much flesh do they consume which requires further slaughter of peaceful herbivores? No, I don't like "zoos" one bit...

  • @beaelliott Not going to answer my question huh? Where was your family dog originally get stolen from? How did your last hamburger taste before you became soapbox? How many female animals are subjected to constant impregnation in the wild? How much more painfull would the constant slaughter of those peaceful herbivores in order to support these animals in "the wild" be? You might not like zoos, but your grandchildren will when they get to see animals that would otherwise be gone. Still a joke.

  • @Vlaxitov My dog came from a "breeder" who let a female mate with a "mutt". Last hamburger - 8 years ago... "Enjoyed" without intellectual comprehension or spiritual enlightenment. I LOVE my food now and am very aware that "it" did not "suffer". Females in the wild get to nurse their young... They get a break from being "production" machines. Animal ag does not give these ladies any "maternity leave". You're justifying slaughtering captive herbivores to feed to captive carnivores? Really?

  • @beaelliott Finally, I'd hope my grandchildren/heirs would inherit the understanding that all beings wish to be free from as much encroachment as possible. I'd hope they'd respect the rights of other beings to live as nature intended them - Not as "good as we can make it" for animals removed from their habitat. Like the saying goes: Ain't nothing like the real thing!

  • @beaelliott its your job to see that your kids do. Inturn they will most likely teach thier kids too.

  • @beaelliott You go girl!! Tell it like it is!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Vlaxitov thank god there are some normal, sane people on this forum.

  • @Piatnitskysaurus For some odd reason I'm not surprised that you two einsteins would think that you're sane and normal and just so doggone smart....hahahahahahahaha....thanks! I SO needed a laugh tonight...hahahahahahah

  • @donna1948ful - I'm not arguing with insufferable lunatics.

  • @Piatnitskysaurus and you are certainly the authority on lunatics....I will agree with that! go back to teaching the propanda on your channel where you belong!!

  • @donna1948ful lol, I don't post any videos, I just support other videos, thanks for checking so you didn't make a fool of yourself ;)

  • @Piatnitskysaurus why don't you just go suck an egg! You don't care about animals rights ...you want to argue...why don't you get a life..

  • @Piatnitskysaurus "Humans are over-rated! F@#k human rights! If you want human rights, then accept your responsibilities and act with compassion towards other life-forms, if not, then don't expect anyone to respect YOUR rights!"

Copy pasted from this donna1948ful's youtube page. Testimony that you have to be nutts to support something like this video.

  • @Vlaxitov as stated on my page that was graciously loaned to me by someone else.,you copy pasted what you wanted to ...not giving credit to the author of the quote.....

  • @beaelliott In addition, the time for moral judgement in reguards to animals living in captivity is long gone. Do you have any kind of housepet at all, dog, cat, fishtank? Those animals came from "wild" ancestory and now owe their existance to captivity. How many cats and dogs get put to sleep each year in the US? How many are let to starve to death or get eaten in other countries?

    Captive cow = morally acceptable?

Captive bison = not morally acceptable?

    What a joke...

  • @Vlaxitov -Fair warning: I'm for ALL animal rights... Captive cows: NOT morally acceptable, or pigs, chickens, etc. The "pets" - dogs, cats and chickens are all rescues from a system (and a species) that saw them as "commodities" or "things" to be used. I'm well aware of the unjustifiable slaughter of "pet animals" - All due to the ignorance of "us" who let them breed with no regard as to their wellbeing or the future needs of their babies.Eating cats/dogs/bison/lambs, etc. ALL reprehensible.

  • @beaelliott Do you have any pets, yes or no? Have you ever eaten a hamburger and liked it? You are NOT for ALL animal rights. If you were, you would accept that self aware sentient animals have needs and behaviors as well. Why isn't it natural behavior when a sentient animal domesticates other animals that aren't self aware? Sounds like you're for animal rights except for one, the human species.

I'm all for animals being treated well, but to say its immoral to domesticate them is obscene imho.

  • @Vlaxitov Yes, again... Rescued cats/dogs/chickens - All made (and discarded) by ignorant humans. Domestic animals that are not "self aware"? Where? Who? No such thing! It is BECAUSE all animals are aware that we cannot decide for them what/how/where they should live - Unless there is no other choice...As in the "pet animals" we've allowed to procreate without regard. Deliberately domesticate a wild animal? For our amusement? Please NO! Hamburger? Years ago - "enjoyed" with blind "knowledge".

  • @Vlaxitov IMHO....that's a joke ....you're arrogant and you're not anywhere as intelligent as you try to present yourself as being...IMHO

  • @donna1948ful You have no idea who your talking to. You don't know anything about me, like the fact that I consider myself of average intelligence. Intelligent enough to not use IMHO at the begining and end of a statement however. If you think I'm wrong, why don't you convince me I am rather than waste your time trying to insult me because thats not working. If I'm soo unintelligent then it should be easy to destroy my argument. Take care.

  • @Vlaxitov The first IMHO was yours....if you would care to refer back to your post ....that's how you ended it..

  • @donna1948ful Well you could at very least try to no sound dumb while you're accusing me of trying to sound smart. The author of that self loathing quote doesen't require credit IMHO.

  • @beaelliott So I take your anti human stance as more reprehensible than a wretch beating his rented mule.

  • @Vlaxitov You've got me all wrong! I'm not "anti human" at all! In fact I believe we are capable of so much more than the archaic practices of dominating others by force to get what we want from them... I wish my species to evolve past the primordial goo of enslaving others. As intelligent humans, gifted with such large and productive brains - I'm sure we'll evolve to that point... Just a matter of time. ;)

  • @beaelliott stop your whining, all you're saying is massive generalizations. Most zoo animals are descended from animals bred in captivity, most are kept in groups, their diets are as close to the wild diet as possible, the breeding is for conservation. See, I can rant on and whine too.

  • @Piatnitskysaurus - All that captivity, breeding, etc. all done for "conservation"... No possibility in the world they're done for "profit"??? Now who's naive?

  • @beaelliott - I'm not arguing with inflammatory asswipes like you. I've WORKED at a zoo, I know how it works. Now kindly fuck right off and leave me alone.

  • @Piatnitskysaurus Now, now... temper - temper. Perhaps a little anger management might be in order? Don't let being wrong (or corrected) get the best of you. You're only "dumb" if you don't learn. Everyone who figures out the scheme and scam we humans do to animals becomes shocked and/or upset and angry. Truth is they have been the oldest slave-victims since time began. I say it's high time to set them loose from our frivolous wants, petty desires and gluttonous greed... ;)
