  • What a great little character Homer is. Making him so tiny, even beside the diminutive Oswald was brilliant. MicroMayhem incarnate. And the 8mm look and feel is nice and so is the added soundtrack. This is apparently Friz Freleng's second outing and from the incredible energy of, and in, this film, you can see how he will become one of the greats of tooning.

Can't wait to see Homer in All Wet.

PS I don't think he actually murdered Oswald, no Xs in his eyes.

  • This is the second Oswald cartoon featuring Homer the cat. The first Oswald cartoon Homer was in was All Wet, one of the Disney/Iwerks Oswald shorts.

  • Interesting how the Universal globe appears at the end of this film. I thought that they only began using that during the Lantz era.

  • Nice reissue.

  • Sometimes I think about making a sequel to this short. One with a warmer outcome.

  • @RetroRabFan That's nice

  • Nice soundtrack by the way. I wonder who performed it?

  • I though this film is silent yet there are some sound effects.

  • That was an astounding flurry of violence at the end, there. Hooray!

  • @Falcovsleon21 I don't blame him. The cat was so troublesome, and that Oswald lost his cool.

  • Many told me the George Winkler Oswald Cartoons No longer exist but wow! :D
