  • @TheDslide Hands or wrists? I'd say its pretty normal when first starting out. If you feel like you're landing with too much weight, then you need to try and figure out how to make it smoother to minimize that.

  • For a first timer, is it dangerous to do it without a spotter?

  • @CharlieRodls Yea but it shouldn't be THAT bad. Just know there is a chance you may bail, resulting in awkward and sometimes painful falls. I think having a spotter just speeds it along and makes it easier.

  • Hey I'm 10 and I do gymnastics but I can do a backhandspring on my sled already but I want to do it at home on my landing because it's got carpet but I do the falling back part but I don't do the backhandspring because I'm to scared to go back got any tips? :L

  • @2001parry Not really. Fear is one of those things to where we all have our own ways to get past it. For me, I did macacos until I got angry at myself and just threw it on concrete haha

  • @2001parry Get your parents to spot you. Then once you have some confidence in how it feels. Have them progressively take hands away.

  • @IFishyI u should search i though in my city there wasnt one neither (im on a third world country) try searching places where they do olympic gymnastics, usually they let u enter the place for something like 1$ thats how those places make profit :)

  • @YouMeWeFail welll with a backhandsrping you just use your hands and land

  • @YouMeWeFail for a back handspring, stick your butt out and fall back. soon as you're feel yourself falling backwards, throw your hands up and jump as high as you can. look for your hands soon as you're in the air, because if you dont know where they are, you'll likely hit your head. if you get a lot of height, your hands will barely touch the ground, so the higher you jump, the less impact on your hands. i hope this helps, good luck :)

  • @YouMeWeFail haha this is why its best to learn backhandspring first. Otherwise its a lot harder since you're used to going up but not back. Try and make sure your sit is right and you jump back rather than up.

  • I used to do gymnastics, and I was quite a natural, and watching this video I remember how other guys did the back handspring just like the guy in white shirt...All crooked !!! I thought. WTF they don't do it straight !!! LOL

  • @Buttlosser It's just a bad habit. Keep practicing and try to correct it. Don't over do it though. If you practice on days when your form is very bad, it will actually teach you to keep that bad form. So you have to choose when to keep going wisely
