恋に命を懸けるなど今に日本では理解できないでしょうが、戦後ま­で心中といって熱海の錦ヶ浦、大島の三原山で二人の手を結び飛び­込んで天国へ行きました。

心中と言います。純情、清純などの言葉も死語となった日本。

以前は新聞に頻繁に心中が出ましたが今では全く出ません。

@bert4a This song is depicting a couple of lovers. They are not allowed to become a married couple due to their parents' objection. However, they are so greatly beloved to each other as to promise to die, and then make a sweet home in Heaven. This popular song was first released in the year of 1932 (昭和７年) . At that time, it became so intimate among people that their humming sound , old or young, could be heard along the streets. I bet this song is still much loved by the elderly now.

実家は、裾野市（静岡県）だったはずです。
