  • If you are a tenor and have passed the E , F , F# but can´t go any further its because you have "pulled" chest voice beyond the confortable and natural limit. Every note higher will be difficult and have strain. A new muscle coordination needs to be obtained, transfering the weight of the voice by adding natural resonances and mixing them naturally. For example the Pharyngeal resonator its VITAL to cross your bridge and let go of the weight.¡¡¡

Check the Speech Level Singing method for more info

  • the best singing teacher on the internet. I have singing lessons in portugal (i'm portuguese) and my teacher, she's from bulgaria, and she is a professional singer, (her method is "bel canto" also).

  • I think the hook up about singing tenor is caused by the singing of men today in the POP scene. They are so high that it make them sound very forced. There´s a few male voices today in the POP who are good to lsiten to. I think tihis is a very big problem. Beacause not all of them are tenors

  • Cool Cool Cool

  • Great to hear a fantastic advice. If you have a high DI, then go out and sing your High C, with no problem, but if your top note is a C,put all those arias Boheme, Faust, etc., half step down and be comfortable and sing a great B natural, and believe me , unless there is one in the audience with perfect pitch, NOBODY will know the difference, BUT EVERYBODY WILL KNOW IF YOU CRACK A HIGH C

  • This is the forced singing of modern classical teaching. Perhaps "Spinto" means even more "shouty" than other tenors? A well-schooled tenor will be trained to use his pharyngeal voice alone or in combination with the head voice, or even falsetto, in other words, a mixed register. Listen to Gigli or Tito Schipa, or any Old School tenor.

A baritone can never sing tenor effectively - your voice type is genetic.Far better to concentrate on being a good baritone.

  • WHAT IS A DO AND SI BEMOL IN ENGLISH PLEASE. THANKS

  • @dramatico25 Do is a C and Si bemol is a B flat.

  • I have a question, I'm 16 years old, and I can sing only until G4. Do I have the chance to still reach C5?

  • @jaecody12 - easy as pie. Anyone can sing a C5. I can get the bum on the street to hit a C5, its all about how it sounds and can you sing it over and over again without strain.

You're only 16 - you have MANY years to worry about extending vocal range. Right now concentrate on getting the range you do have to sound great.

  • @RocktheStageNYC Hi, I'm also only 16 ... would be interested to hear what you think of my voice and, in your experience, how it might develop or change over the next x years. Cheers.. George :)

  • WHAT DID HE ACTUALLY TEACH THEM??? Nothing. That they should not be afraid of hight notes. Wow, not that's a revelation!!! This is crap. Anybody can be a good teacher with an amazing student...

  • @mistatomsom I have to say with the majority of students (in the UK at least) it is a mental barrier which prevents singers more than anything else; although i confess the two in the video didn't seem to have a problem that i could hear lol.

  • thanks for this vidéo...gracie mille...is there any Tribute to Mario Lanza in Italy?

this is my tribute to the king, Hope u enjoy...Gracie

  • would've been even better if it was in English

  • LOL! xDDD easy notes , there is no technique, ITS A NATURAL STATE OF YOUR VOICE NOOBS

  • holy crap. wut notes did they hit? it osunded pretty strong an dhigh.

  • I wish someone would translate or caption this.

  • I have a question, I am baritone, if I practice tenor notes can I reach and become a tenor or I will still be a baritone?

  • The notes are the same for tenor and baritone, it changes just your voice tone. If you can sing with tenor tone... maybe you're a tenor... Many people don't know what kind of voice they have. Only a Maestro can tell you that

  • @235binelli - true to a point. Tonality is partly responsible for range but so is support and the ability to take the weight out of the voice. Singing in a tenor tone will not give someone more vocal range.

"Only a Maestro can tell you that" - well that's just silly. What kind of voice you have/given/born with is meaningless unless you like being boxed in a certain vocal range.

  • Hello Kevin, Oh yes, In Italy we call "Bel Canto Techniques" each technique it depends of your "Voice Customized program"... I would said a "Real Italian Bel Canto Maestro" to define your Real voice.

  • @235binelli - OK point taken. Real Maestro can determine what voice someone has but so can any teacher with a good understanding of voice technique.

But I see what you are saying. I'm sure its much different in Italy as it is here in the US in regards to singing teachers.

  • Yes Sir, there are some differences between American an Italian teachers, that's the reason why it's more beautiful. Thanks for your kind comments

  • @235binelli what are you teaching these guys in these videos? I can't understand what you're saying in any of them. I am a student from America, a tenor as well, looking to find techniques and such on singing and placing the voice and such. It would be really great to understand what you are saying and what exactly you are teaching them besides comparing them to other tenors and making them sing an arpeggio to a flat or b flat.

  • @Arfat I think this lesson was more about the confidence aspect of hitting high notes. If you have good technique then the only thing stopping you from your high notes is your thinking getting in the way. Its more of an animal instinct when its done successfully, filled with intent. And I think that another thing holding them back is that they start the "cover" to early. You need to start open and train the cover to be subconscious or it will limit you eventually, especially your highs.

  • @235binelli I agree with you. There are great differences between American and Italian teachers. You can hear good american well prepared singers everywhere and many are very good singers.

  • @RocktheStageNYC i'm from portugal, my singing teacher is from bulgaria. I'm an alto and i can sing high notes as well, but of course is not as beatifull as my lower notes, is not naturall

  • @RocktheStageNYC I don't think he meant that singing with tenor tone increases your range. From my understanding of what he said, he means that any note is the same for any singer, they just sing it with different tones and timbres. That was just my understanding

  • @TheRockStar2be123 - perhaps but I also took away that vocal range is the same for baritone as is for tenors and that is not true. Natural tenors can achieve higher notes more easily than baritones. My point is that with proper voice training a baritone can learn to reach tenor and soprano ranges. I personally don't like singers "branded" by their vocal ranges or tonality. I'm a baritone and I can reach C6 in full voice. Of course it took me many years and hundreds of hours of practice.

  • @235binelli The voice after the full range is developed shows us all weather its a tenor or a baritone, not a Maestro, its what range the voice can spend lots of time making its best and BIG sound. Tenors and Baritones both can doeasily what the other cannot do easily. The developed voice demonstrates what it is.

  • @235binelli If the notes were the same, then baritones would be tenors and not called baritones, unless they were spinto or dramatic tenors, it would make sense to say the notes are the same. What you say doesn´t make any sense.

  • @235binelli Very true my husband always belived he was a tenor but when he study to be master in acting the vocalteacher learnd him to find out that he was a low Base voice. True story from life

  • you can become a tenor. I am a baritone with a 5 octave voice well low in the bass range and well high into the Soprano range. C1 - C6.

It just takes a lot of practice and a teacher who can show you how to access the head register without falsetto.

  • @deadfall000 Don't focus on singing "like a tenor" or "like a baritone". Work on building proper technique - the notes don't matter. A good teacher will help you find the free/resonant/effortless instrument that you have. Any type of imitation will lead to psychological restrictions and forced muscle memory.

  • @deadfall000 Tenor or barytone has nothing to do with which notes you can hit, but where your voice sounds the best.. where the overtones are - nature decides it ! :)

  • @deadfall000 - baritone can easily reach tenor range with the proper training. I am a Baritone and my top note is D6 in full voice, lowest notes are C2-G1

  • @deadfall000

To answer your question simply yes you can achieve higher registers. Tenor or Baritone Alto or Soprano, are just names used to describe where a particular singer feels most comfortable singing. It in no way means you cannot sing in higher registers :)

  • @deadfall000 you will always be a baritone at heart but if you practice and really think about it what is baritone but a mens tenor when you get into a chior of 3 parts its not saprano alto tenor its saprano alto baritone. but i am a baritone singer but i also can sing bass and i can sing tenor alto and some saprano so as long as you work for it you can do anything with your voice keep in mind it takes many months if not years to develop a higher or lower voice its just practice.

  • @deadfall000 Figuring out your classification is a vocal journey every singer must take. There are a lot of men who have to work really hard for their high ranges but are actually tenors lacking proper technique. The goal is to study for many many years with good teachers and work hard on liberating your voice and accessing its entire potential. It's then you will start to see what repertoire you should be singing. Your classification's dependent on a lot of things a teacher has to guide you on.

  • @deadfall000 You can't change the tesiture you're born with, if you try tenor notes inadequatly you'll end messing up your vocals, but as the guy below said, only a Maestro can tell wich tesiture you are. TL;DR you will stay baritone.

    CHIEDO LUMI ALL'ESPERIENZA

    45ENNALE. GRAZIE

  • @MartinucciTenore parla proprio lei di tecnica?

  • I am a bass.... and this is honestly impossible for me. lol I was a bit scared.

  • @OMGshNicholas Don't be, u can always belt it out if you have to.

  • Si bemol is Bb. These guys are singing up the Bb scale with ease! And teach is telling them they need to have a good b and high c!

  • Comment removed

  • The highest tenor note I can sing is an A my falsetto is high Alto.

  • @Li5468 - you need some serious real vocal training if A4 in falsetto is all you have. A4 should not be in falsetto but full voice - closed vocal folds with mixed resonance.

I'm NOT insulting this teachers technique as he has a wonderful voice but confining people to only strive for a B4 or C5 is EXTREMELY limiting in my view.

  • @RocktheStageNYC Excuse me? I never said that my A was my falsetto. I said my falsetto is high alto, I think that you comment was very rude, and I don't appreciate it.

  • Eb4 is not that high for me

    i can easily go to F4, F#4

and aslo G4 when my voice is in good condition

but i really wanna hit notes like Ab4 (david cook hit Ab4 in always be my baby and time of my life)

i seldom hit Ab4 note and above

though i can belt above Ab4 using mixed voice

but it's not as powerful as chest

    that's my problem

  • @Dariuxzs - you should be hitting everything above F4 in mixed voice. From about F4/F#4 to C5 you are in a mixed resonance mostly in low head voice. From C5 and above you are mostly head resonance.

  • I wish I can understand Italian. Can there be an English translation of the words of the Maestro? Love the voices...

  • He should spend more time training these young mens' voice and less time talking. They are fine singers already- don't waste their time, and get back to what they are paying him for.

Great room though, and he's a fine teacher.

  • I think that's WHY he's not spending so much time actually singing. I believe most of what he teaches them is in specific regards to operatic history, interpretation, how to understand the composer, why he composed something in that specific manner etc

  • That's not why you take private lessons. I'm sure these guys already know alot about opera history and interpretation, etc. He's talking too much and it's not good. You don't go to a private trainer at the gym and instead of him working you out, he just keeps on talking. Shut up and teach, don't waste the students time.

  • @GaryProVox - agree 100%. And I'm sure the rate he charges isn't cheap either.

  • wht the fuck they sing so high lol

i can sing as high, but with head voice. but they can do with normal voice

and they are louder than i expected lol

  • @blackhoumor lol i know its hard to do it normal voice

  • ah ah ah ah ah and he missed the next note above...

    uhmmm

  • the maestro talks too much and doesn`t show anything...how can his students sing without their maestro`s live demonstration with his voice? The student`s voice is pure throat!!! very bad vocal school!

  • you are right there's need to balance things...besides this is VOICE AND SINGING LESSONS not interpretation or history of opera...but i know he is good so...maybe you have to pay for listen to him a bit lol

  • Hello guys we just post 3' from an hour lesson. The "THEORY, knowledgement and understanding" of the complete opera are very important and without can not sing.

  • Eb4 is not that high for me

  • Sir,

My name is Winston Travasso, and i am from India. I am a tenor and have been learning singing since i was 17 almost 5 years. I want to make a carreer in singing. I have sung in operas and oratorios in chorus. I am a soloist in the choir and i am talented. Please help me. I wanna be serious in this singing carreer.

  • Hi,there! Let`s try! Fix skype...and we`ll see...the main problem is going to be the difference of time...email me....if i`m good enough for you...i`ll help you....Slav.

  • I want to take this course but I don't speak Italian!!!!

  • Hello, my name is juan, i am from ecuador, i've been taking singing lessons for two years, but i always have the same problem as many singers, and my problem is when i try to sing the vocal e, i can sing it but i have a real hard time when i have to sign a high note with the vocal e, i've heard many tips about it, but what should i do??

  • try modifying the ee to an 'ih' sound (as in k-I-tten) and you should find it much easier.

  • hello, im a teenager and i would like to know when would be the proper age to start training.

  • you start training as soon as you're mentally ready

  • NO....you cant train when you are enterering the voice change...menatlity counts for sure but its not the ONLY thing

  • Yes, you can train while your voice is changing. That's an old myth, usually handed down from women teachers.

  • Thanks for your question, and answered defined by 91brownie91, but note that: Normally Not less than 17 years old

  • Hello there. I am 17 years old going on 18 years old. I have no training myself and was able to hit the 5B on a piano today. i warmed up all day and hit it using my full voice. Before that i had smoked for about a little over a year and recently stopped. I was wondering if i could find some way of getting lessons...but im not sure if im even a tenor, i might be a baritone.

  • Oh dear lord, a bunch of tenors warming up/screaming at each other... it's a baritone's nightmare...

  • haha, u moany old bari.

  • @nectenorboi09. I don't undestand if you mocking the baritones or the tenors.

  • @nectenorboi09 it's everyone's nightmare

A presto.

  • I really want to be a bel canto singer. The biggest problem for me is the time: I would be able to have two week holidays at most. Are there any two week tenor courses available in August?

  • We are planning a Master Class and Beginenrs Lesson on July 12 to July 20. In August we can plan a private lessons, with the Maestro Cananà, only for you

  • are there available any lessons in the english language?

as so far I don't understand a word Italian

  • Hi Eddy5525 thanks. For private lessons in English we have a translator. The Maestro uses French and the Bel Canto's Language: "Italian". Let us know

  • Dont you think its strange, that he lets them sing together? I mean this way he isn able to analyse their vocal problems

  • Hi ELRIED thanks for your comment, please note that this is just some minutes of a complete lyrical vocal lesson. This way it's used to reinforce the High and Acuto notes power confidence of a Young Tenors. Ah for sure, The Maestro knows their capabilities and what they need it

  • What do you all think of my screaming and singing? I want some feed back. Be honest, its ok.

  • I think that it sounds great!!! I want to be able to sing like that. My voice isn't like that yet, but one day I want to be able to sing those with that kind of ring to my voice. I have the range, but not the ring and the technique... Keep up the good work.

  • I can not find the website that you post and can you help me to find it. Thank You.

  • Thank you "Nemovoice" just see the video's information with the direct web's link

  • wow.....i am speechless at the way this video started, i was expecting to see a more beginner Tenor lesson and got blown away by the way those 2 guys sang, if thats just a warm up i cant imagine what a actual performance would be like.....amazing......
