There is a shake weight for men so I'm not sure why you're reviewing the women's version. It also seems weird to me they you would post a 22 minute review without even watching the 6 minute DVD or attempting to use the device properly. You basically bought one, removed it from the box and then started filming with an already formed opinion. THAT is definitely not science. The physics behind the shake weight make sense, and if you actually use it correctly it's a pretty good workout. You aren't
I have the Shake Weight for men and I can see you're doing it wrong. Honestly if you got the men's version and watched the DVD you'll see that you're doing it wrong. You're suppose to hold it and shake it in a vibration-type motion. You're shaking it like a Caracha and your body is bouncing along with it. If you use the men's version and watch the DVD you'll see a big difference. Shake weight gets no credit if it's not used properly.
@macuser5555 i think hes just jokin around because its a peice of shit. all it will do is tone u, it wont get u bigger or stronger so really it only beinifits women. if u knew anything about fitness u would atleast know u cant really gain muscle without working out your back, legs, core. this will only tone your upper body and give u a little endurance maybe. i'm not even sure if it will tone u because its a peice of shit
The general idea behind the product has some merit. The problem is in the poor production/execution of the product itself. They made the product way too cheap & "Sales-ie" to be taken seriously.
John your research and feedback is outstanding.
If someone made a sturdy product, using John's 7 Keys, you might have something worth using for a burnout workout. I've used short-rapid repetitions in the past to work through strength plateaus. Something like this may be an effective curveball.
I like the pros you gave

All that quick movement would just hurt your joints. It will just make you all stiff with enough time.

Awesome review, John! The perfect gag gift...totally useless for actual fitness.
