All of these metal genres originated from proto-metal bands of the late sixties and 70's. You forgot a few of the most important most awesome genres. Doom, sludge and stoner metal. It's good to state things as your opinions and not as facts in public forums.Check out some of these other genre mixes on youtube and watch some documentaries to learn more about metal.

* Viking metal is not a real genre. Lyrics =/= genres.

* Nu-"metal" is a sub-genre of alternative rock with minimal metal influences.

* BFMV is not metalcore. Ok otherwise.

* You completely fucked up the symphonic and gothic metal section.

* Dragonfarce is a horrid example of power metal.

* Nine inch Nail is industrial rock and Ministry's only real metal albums where the last 2 maybe 3. Especially the thrashy Rio Grande Blood.

Just because gospel music is partly defined by its lyrics/themes does not mean that metal music is.

@MrRitualSuicide Death, Black, and Power Metal are individually identified by their own qualifiers, which happen to not include strict parameters on lyrics. Not all genres have lyrical components tied to them, but some do.

Along with Gospel, Emo, Christian Rock, Political Rap, Gangster Rap, Anarcho-punk, and "Unblack" Metal are some more examples of genres specifically categorized by lyrical content.

someone really needs to know their music a bit better and if there was an issue finding the music to go with the band pics, find them, you're on youtube!!! and at least match up the band pics with th line up of the song that was chosen. 1 example is the Arch Enemy song used was with their first MALE lead singer and the pic had Angela Gossow. and Master of Puppet was Cliff Burton. the pic had Newstead. come on.
