I go to therapy for anxieties and very rarely depression. They tried pushing drugs on me immediately. I was very wary because some of those drugs were new. The only reason I ever get depressed is when I am lonely. You can't really say it is all the drugs fault but you give a person medication just to cover up the reason for their depression and it only makes it worse.
These drugs need to be banned RIGHT NOW, this is more urgent and more important than gun control, anti smoking campaigns, anything like that. it is a bigger global problem than street drug use because people are lied to by the psychs and told that the drugs are safe. linuxguy999: u have no idea what u r talkin bout, i have friends that use Prozac, 4 gettin "high",they smash ritalin and rivotril pills and then they snort them and valium among other drugs that i cant remember right now, this legal drugs, but still drugs r bein used by teens, to get high, so if u know anythin bout chemistry and drug interactions this legal anti depressants will get u "high"...

Wow lets put the blame on the drugs the kid shot up a school there are millions of people on those drugs not millions of school shootings put the guilt where it should be on the kid who shot and killed peoples families and friends. Dont give him some some scape goat and say its not his fault.

There's no question that he was disturbed already. But when you put someone on a drug that in testing causes mania, suicidal thoughts, and homicidal thoughts, it is obviously not a good mix. Do some research on how many of these shooters were on these drugs. And as for the millions that are on them, drugs do different things to different people, and if it potentially makes you kill, um...think it should be taken off the market!

Absolutely! It seems much less work to blame the drugs after the fact, instead of reaching out to depressed and isolated individuals before their illness causes them to act out on an uncaring society.

Excellent film! Now I know why there are so many commericials for anti-depressants on the television today (4/20/07) The question I want to pose is, why are the so-called progressive in this country so afraid to take on the big pharmaceutical companies and BAN this poison?????

Because their livelihood depends an creating new customers for Big Pharm! Teachers push drugs on kids rather than deal with them, social workers push drugs on ppl rather than actually help them ... Most of the complicit are registered Dems! When Bush's Nazi mental health screenings label them as insane, they'll have only themselves to blame for their complicity. They're finding SSRIs in our drinking water! If you push these drugs for a paycheck -- You reap what you sow!
