She might have been a little nervous, considering it was her first time performing here. But she absolutely NAILED the other one. Perfection from start to finish.

Whitney used to have a powerful voice, no more. Leona can do this song, but her voice is more soft than powerful. Charice have the combination of both soft, strong chest voice, low and high register. Why is Ashanti singing Whitney? Not enough Ashanti material? I have to say that she did pretty well on "I Have Nothing," but was there a guide track on that one? The problem I have with Ashanti and others is that they think better singing is louder singing. Stop screaming. It's more to it than that. Not everyone can sing a Whitney classic. Ashanti sounds really good. So yes, give credit where credit is due. Ashanti is a real artist who doesn't need the glitz and glam to deliver a performance. Whitney used to have a powerful voice, no more. Leona can do this song, but her voice is more soft than powerful. Charice have the combination of both soft, strong chest voice, low and high register. I hope Ashanti doesn't sing this medley in the Manila concert on October 25, 2011 (or does not sing it this way). Not everyone can sing a Whitney classic. Ashanti sounds really good. So yes, give credit where credit is due. Ashanti is a real artist who doesn't need the glitz and glam to deliver a performance. As stated above, I'd love to hear Rihanna, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Britney Spears, or any other popular artist out (with the exception of Beyonce and Christina) do a better job than Ashanti. Word has it that it even caused Charice to cry. Now, if the rumor is true, that ain't cool. Artists should respect one another not dis each other - smh.

I hope she will not sing this in the Philippines. Charice owns this version and the way she sings even, she is not fitted to sing this ballad.

She didn't do GREAT but I'll give her an A+ for effort--some parts where a bit pitchy. The + for at least attempting a Whitney song. Whitney song's are TOUGH to sing. Ashanti should stay in her lane. Those were 2 powerhouse songs. She doesn't have a powerhouse voice.

OK i didnt think she could do half as good as she did, i mean i have to give her props , YES IT CLEARLY WASNT AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL NOR AS GOOD AS CHARICE , BUT IT WAS STILL REALLY GOOD ! i think most of those who disliked this vid already had a mind set to dislike it regardless...she got a standing ovation and im sure it sounded alot better in person ! didnt know he had such a powerful voice (needs some refining tho) ,nonetheless she did a great job

Charice does by far the greatest version of Whitney songs, i can nearly say she sings them better then the diva herself.

I am sorry but Ashanti killed this, I had no idea she had that kind of range and control. She clearly is not Whitney, but guess what? Neither is Whitney anymore. I agree with other comments that none of the current girls could even TRY to sing those songs. Ashanit KILLED this.

The Bodyguard Medley (BGM) was arranged by David Foster especially for Charice.. Ashanti is a good R&B singer, but let's all be honest--her voice is not made for this kind of power ballad.
