  • Plz reply to this msg, i have this same rifle and was wondering what does yours sound like when you cock it, mine sounds creeky and meby like metal rubbin against metal, is this normal or should it sound smooth ??

  • where can i buy a replacement spring for my crosman phantom?

  • Please watch my video called Ruger air hawk Problems I need help with the gun and I don't know what to do and this looks like a similar build so maybe u can help

  • cool now i can fill the compression tube with gasoline

  • Safety safety safety, absolutely, start with good lighting and not in the half dark!!

  • is it possible and legal to disassemble your air rifle and replace it with a bigger spring to make the air rifle more powerful? if so how would you do it?

  • Hi, great job... I just bought this rifle and love the power...Is there a way to remove the front fiber optic sight without breaking it? thanks

  • nice video bro i hope i manage to reassemble my air gun i almost killed it XD

  • I just wanted to give you a big thanks for this series of videos.

Thanks to these, I was able to perform my first spring/seal replacement on my Gamo CFX.

I constructed a completely different spring compressor, though.

I made mine with a behemoth of a 48" Jorgensen model 7248 bar clamp and two hinged blocks of wood with 1.5" holes drilled so that the hinges bisect the holes.

I then keep them secured with lock hasps and carabiners.

    Great work, jgoodz!

  • @PinkOld

No problem glad I could help...

  • @jgoodz420

um can you tell me if i can change the barrel on my 1.77 gammo air rifle and put a 22 barrel that means buying two guns because i now want the 1250 because i can get more power in my lead pellets but i want to chage my barrel swap it around and have a 22 rifle with more kick

can you help me because your do doing a vid on taking apart an air rifle

  • @PinkOld I'm thinking of trying it on a CFX as well. How difficult is it? I know a fella selling his for $165 w/ a gas ram. He says it shoots erratic 750 fps but that a seal may be bad. He said it should get back to 850-900 fps. I didn't know the CFX would shoot that fast. Thanks.

  • @filoIII

For what it's worth, my own (spring powered, and I did the spring/seal replacement myself) .177 Gamo CFX gets about 750fps or so.

I just don't believe 850-900, unless maybe someone is using those horrible PBA or other ultra-lightweight pellets.

As for the replacement, it's really not all that hard, just as long as you have a decent spring compressor.

Doing the job by converting over to gas ram should be a bit easier, since you will be discarding the spring guide, and you won't use tar.

  • @PinkOld It supposedly already has the gas spring installed. I don't know how to make a spring compressor anyhow :) There is absolutely no one I know of that has anything to do w/ airguns in my area. Perhaps I'll run an ad in the paper and find out. Thanks.

  • @PinkOld He said he sold it. I already have a couple of cfx's. i hate to mess w/ them tho cause they shoot pretty good. 750-800 fps. .22 is low 600's. I'll consider it. Thanks anyhow.

  • thank you so much !

  • @MaaTy23

    no problem....

  • Great video. First one that really descripes and shows all steps.

  • @bfgguns

    Thank You...

  • I checked out the air arms strip down vid and the guy told me to drill out the tamper proof plate to increase power. I just ended up ruining the look of the gun the transfer port bolt wouldn't budge.

  • No idea man, Ive never worked on a Air Arms rifle. Honestly I wouldn't try it either, those things are so amazing why play with it? Not to mention they are very intricate and I would not want to start drilling into them without some serious research, i just wouldnt do it............and they just look so nice I could never take a drill to one of them, its like trying to tune a Ferrari IMO......but best of luck, I'm sure someone can help you, try airgun forums.....

  • His video is spot on but he gave me a bit of extra advice in PM which ruined the gun - well the looks of it anyway. I live in England so it is limited to 12ft/lb's and i was getting frustrated with the lack of power. You are right its a lovely looking rifle.

  • Ohhh OK, I see..........I actually just bought a S410 a few days ago, but it is the Xtra FAC....I do not believe we have the same limitations as you guys over in the UK.........Have you looked on the Air Arms owners forum?? Im sure some people there could help you out, cheers.

  • Thats the one i like but we have to get a firearm certificate for it lol. Firearm certificate for an airgun! Crazy!

  • cool story bro

  • haw man ... sorry to read that...

  • very very good

  • dude i really need ur help....hit me up on personal messages.i sent you a message.

  • I remember i did get back to you awhile ago.......How did everything work out for you? did you get some moly?
