  • they were also strung out because there would be VC who would mine their babies and give them to our troops... My Lai was an incident of soldiers being strung out and falling off of the edge. But My Lai was not nearly as bad as the 101st Airborne's "Tiger Force". research them if you do not know or do not believe.

    Nixon burn in hell.

  • You can tell the date by the M16's. if there is no forward assist on the side of the weapon, then it is a M-16 and therefore prior to 1967. In 1967 the M-16A1 was introduced with the forward assist on the side to improve reliability of the charging handle.

    On another note..

Most attrocities were commited because soldiers were stuck in the field for too long working for commanders they never saw and never saw the battlefield. giving up land only to take it back again fighting an unseen enemy..

  • Great footage and I have it in better condition too. Always reminded me of a football game this clip that is.

  • Is John Wayne the platoon sergeant? hehe

  • Fuck man. This is insanity. War is a crazy thing but Vietnam was in its own class.

  • @PIGd3stroyer Agreed. The complete lack of humanity in the Vietnam War was outrageous. So many people on both sides of the conflict lost their lives, and for what? To stop the spread of communism to a country that has no relevance to the United States. This is the fucked up shit our politicans put American citizens through. The fact that the US Government drafted young men to go over there and kill or be killed, puts a black eye in American history.

  • @SexSteakSoda It was a noble cause at the time it started. War is seldom humane, if there was any humanity in Vietnam it was on the side of the US. During WWII almost every young American was drafted. It did not put a black eye on US history.

  • @gerry301 Oh, so how do you justify the My Lai Massacre? Vietnam was not like World War II. Ho Chi Minh didn't bomb Pearl Harbor or fly planes into the WTC. It all started with the French getting their asses kicked at Dien Bien Phu and America had to come to their rescue (as always). Technically there was no "war" as the United States never officially declared war on North Vietnam. It was just another brutal conflict that resulted in innocent lives being lost. What a shame.

  • @SexSteakSoda There is no justification for My Lai, it was an atrocity. Having said that, the VC/NVA are estimated to have murdered over 33,000 innocent civilians. There was much effort on the part of the US to spare civilian deaths, not so the VC/NVA. It all started during the Yalta conference when dividing speres of influence when the end of WWII came. Britain was given south east asia and the US from the phillipines on up. The Brits allowed the French to return to SEA.

  • @SexSteakSoda The US did not save the French bacon, (altho we gave military assistance). The DMZ was created to divide vietnam between the communist north and the free south. At that time in history the Korean war over communist domination had just ended, the Berlin wall was going up and China had gone communist. McCathyism was still in manys memory, and there was a real fear of communist expansion. The US enterered to help South Vietnam remain from a communist insurgency from the north.

  • @SexSteakSoda Technically there was no war. Thats a technicality as well, as over a million people died. Korea was a police action. That got many laughs at the time as well. Brutal conflict? No argument from me. Yes, what a shame.

  • @PIGd3stroyer What did you think war was?

  • Where's my damn Stinger when I need it?

Time to shoot down some U.S. air support!

Thank God for RPGs! GO Iraq TERRORISTS!

  • @jdmpower86 You can just go fuck yourself.

  • wheres d napalm?

  • fuck..i wanna that grenade launcher!!:)

  • its called an M-79.

  • Staged?

    What a Moron

  • my dad was in the 5th special forces group(sniper m-21 )does'nt like to talk about it,though

  • @poortogee77 most vets don't like talking to others about vietnam, even family, unless you were there yourself. be proud of your dad, he did a great service

  • good footage, especially of the hueys dropping off troops, it is staged, at least some of it given by the officers voice in every shot and the close up on him but, great vid!

  • If it was faked it was done during the 70s.

  • bullshit man. this is real

  • still fake.

  • its from the battle of La Trang I believe, its real man...

  • I am old enough to remember this kind of footage being on the nightly news

  • doesn't make it real

  • There is "fake" and then there is staged. What ever it is, "it is". My point was this kind of footage was on the nightly news. Just what is your agenda?

  • LOL! Agenda? OMG, you people are taking this WAYYYYY to seriously. I make one stupid comment, and everyone is all over it. My "agenda" if I even have one, is to prove people take youtube WAY TO FUCKING SERIOUSLY. Watch your videos, and WHO CARES what other people say or think? REALLY???? Personally, I honestly believe this battle was real, but this scene was "staged" as you say.

  • its not staged. for fuck sake man. You say we take it to seriously? then why do you keep coming back and leaving comments?

  • OK, point taken, but you got comments all over this. Hard to have a intelligent argument in this format.

  • I agree. Being a combat vet myself (101st Airborne, Air Assault) I can tell you that when you're that close to a helicopter, whether it's a Huey, a Black Hawk, or any other type of bird you can't really hear shit other than the guy screaming at the top of his lungs next to you. The shots were real the audio probably was too but this was all put together after the fact, that's for sure.

  • Hey I Knew u From That!

  • Its not fake dumb ass.

  • so u r an expert? what qualifies you?

  • try fuckin 10 years of studying the war. colltecting stuff from the war being a historian.

You can tell its not fake. like 1 guy said if it was faked it was fake din the 70s. well considdering its before 1975 it cant be faked. they wernt making fake vietnam war films before 1975.

its prob late 60s earlyer 70s so ther for it isnt fake.

  • oh, you collect stuff? hmm, stuff. Very technical. I collect "stuff" too, doesn't make me an expert.

  • It makes you an expert when you do nothing but study it.

You know your just one of those stupid sobs who dosnt like to be wrong.

You just need to sit back and listen to ppl who know what there talking about.

  • lol

  • its not fucking fake u can se the tracers

  • lol

  • I dont think those are tracers man. Im pretty sure its jus tlines in the film.

  • You're right. Commie nations use green tracers, we use orange. They all glow that whit color during the day but that's just lines from the film's age. I was an Air Assualt soldier for 4+ years & thought the tech has changed from Nam to Iraq no bird will land in an LZ with tracers flying across it, that's for sure.

  • Yeah + you see the lines in the exact same spot throug out the film.

  • fuck it is to

    I feel like a downy

  • wow. insane. .. get some!

  • awesome vid!

  • Wow good!!!

  • I lost two uncles in that war, before I was born, but my father survived. Great Photage, more interesting than anything my father brought back.

  • god bless all us troops who fought in that war

  • and canadian

  • thats pretty insane
