  • Holy shit, at 2:20 when he turns the corner, how fucking scary would it be if like Jason Voorhees was standing like right there hahaha, would make for a good halloween attraction for the neighborhood kids...

  • s.t.a.l.k.e.r.?

  • it has a fish eye effect on it

  • god that would be my fucking man cave! PS3, tons of junk food, Black and red walls! damn I'm good!!!

  • Love the go pro head mount idea!

  • Root cellar

  • what kind of light is that?

  • Hey home inspector, where I'm from those are called a storm shelter or root cellar because back in the day before all the modern day amenities you would store your food from the garden, because it always stay a constant temp

  • CAZADORES?????

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you will never know if I had one.. I will never tel;l

  • And then the CHUD came for me...

  • with the threat of 2012 this would be nice to have for a peace of mind

  • Bomb shelter? Here in nebraska we call them storm shelters!

  • where the fuck did the ladder comefrom???

  • Being a government inspector they'll make them fill it in and fine the crap out of them. I would rework the project into something useful!

  • Excellent find and thanks for sharing!

  • that's pretty cool! most of the ones that i've seen were either cinderblock or corrugated steal. all things considered, this one is in remarkably good shape, and whoever built it obviously spent the extra money for "the good stuff".

i'd like to mention one thing though (and it's kinda minor, but...): this is more accurately a "fallout shelter". a true bomb (blast) shelter would be FAR more overbuilt and buried a lot deeper. semantics, i know, but as a Cold War geek, i had to throw it out there.

  • Don't you watch scary movies, never go into the dark underground shelter or basement.

  • Finally! Its nice to see a professional use a REAL professional piece of equipment like a modern flashlight instead of the standard D-cell incan. Good on you sir!

  • @VODZ You just can't beat a LED flashlight with 1000 lumens and rechargeable batteries. I can see everything during my inspections. I bought it from going gear.com . They have an awesome selection of flashlights.

  • I wonder if this could be restored and used and if you could keep the water out somehow.

  • @hrdknox2000 sump pump ;), in a small pit at bottom will take care of that

  • It might be a good idea when entering confined underground spaces to check the oxygen levels.

  • I. WANT. ONE.

  • I would love to find this in my yard, With Obama in office we will need it soon!!!

  • @All4ThePeople Amen...

  • @All4ThePeople I'm not sure how does ties to Obama at all. no part of his administration has any antecedent to war... at least no direct correlation. I'm a republican and I have no idea what your talking about. care to elaborate?

  • @All4ThePeople We would actually need it more in the case of a conservative christian who wanted the end times to come sooner...

  • It's not a "bomb" shelter....it's a FALLOUT shelter.

  • Re-advise the home owner to reactivate the Bomb Shelter as they are going to need it real soon! Truth be told.

  • why not restore it and use it???

  • do you need any kind of permit to build a underground shelter?

  • @SgtUnicorn not if they dont know about it, i know in australia if you own the property you also own 30 feet straight down, so i think you can do what you want without causing a safety risk

  • I had one of these in my first home it was under the shed. Pretty cool

  • @askdeinspector It appeared that at one time there was a structure built over this bomb shelter, but only the brick foundation of the structure is still present.

  • Cool find!

  • @smh3w We could have used one of these bomb shelters in our own home last week with all the tornado warnings in Atlanta. Tornado sirens were going off all night.
