  • Stevie is incredible along with Fleetwood Mac...

  • i dont know what it is about this song, but everytime i hear it, i get a stange sensation in my penis :s

  • @sligasaurous

    aren't you lucky...

I feel rather a more cerebral effect... :)

  • sexy stevie- she should show more skin !

  • I don't know what planet you all are living on but younger people know who Stevie Nicks is. She is one of my favorite artists and I'm only 21. Everyone I know loves her and listens to her music along with that of Fleetwood Mac. Just because you don't think she is the best doesn't mean that other people don't. I've seen her with Petty, the Mac, and Solo in the last five years and every show is sold out with TONS of people my age. Just Sayin, Rock on Stevie!

  • @jonswan86

Stevie is eternal, through his charisma, she represents the class, beauty, mystery, emotion, poetry... the vibrations she transmit when she sings are anything that makes the greatness of a performance on stage and that is what i like.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • no now above. lady bush

  • This song always makes me cry. It's so beautiful.

  • the name sara may be the woman mentioned, but this song is about something/someone much more personal to stevie nicks...she has never revealed it publicly.

  • You looks Great Stevie ! ♥

  • I love stevie she is my favorite rock and roll singer.

  • @ricoyambu I agree, it's my favorite too, I love to see her sing! it gives me goosebumps.

  • 1981 this is

  • @ Zeldovich,

You are entitled to your opinion, and I do love Natalie, but she will never be a legend. Stevie is a legend. But I don't blame you. You are just not old enough to know.

  • @gypsyearthspirit

I listen to Fleetwood and Nicks is no legend. If she was a legend, younger people would know about her.

  • my dear @Zeldovich,

That's just coz you don't know any young people, if you were gone out a little once in your life, you would have gained the musical culture to recognize a legend.

Please if you do not love this artist, leave this page and do not leave any comment,

People in this page are rather proactive ...

    Regards.

  • @CyberManin

Because you say so, right? lol

The Rolling Stones might be legends. Eric Clapton, the Beatles... not Nicks. She has a nice, distinctive voice, but her music is nothing special and is anything but innovative.

  • @Zeldovich Someone can be an icon to a lot of people and therfore a legend in there own style of music, has nothing to do how many young peole heard of her, I,m sure a lot of young people did not even know Micheal Jackson was a legend till the day he died and they found out more about him. How many yong people heard of Kate Bush, ? do you know her? and she,s considdered a legend too. Hugh Laurie was a legend in Europe before he acted in : house"USA never heard of him before House

  • Never heard about Natalie Merchand ... :)

    Sorry

  • Merchant. She sang for 10,000 Maniacs and has been solo since teh 90s. youtube some of her vids. You probably won't be disappointed.

  • @Zeldovich

No comparison. Stevie is a thousand times better than that one hit wonder.

  • I always really liked this song a lot!!..Awesome!!

  • my most favorite video of all time, hands down

  • mine too... my friend.

    +1

  • hey !!! hey is that you ?

This is one of the best chick I've ever met

OMG I still have her profile saved @ DateHerSafe[,]com/profile?=6837

  • Does anyone know what concert/year this is from? Best version ever of one of the best songs ever. This song like no other have a weird effect on me on some subconscious level.

  • This is from 1981. only reason i know is because there is a version of Leather and Lace on youtube with her wearing the same outfit and its labelled 1981. I also think it could possibly be in Los Angeles because there is another version of Edge of Seventeen with her hair styled exactly the same, just in a different outfit. And There was and interview in which she referred to (what i thought was) that performance being in LA.

  • I agree with you completely. This song never gets old and the lyrics touch me every time, the depth of it all. Stevie has been so Gifted, lived quite imperfectly and is so amazingly beautiful as she comes shining through via her soulful lyrics and music. I love her:). What she gives back is so tremendous beyond words.

  • I actually went to see them (FM) a couple of days ago. When they did this song I just started crying like a baby(happytears). She can still deliver like no other.

  • It looks like Tusk or Bella Donna before Stevie got mighty mighty sick ):

I agree with you on the effect. I feel many different emotions when I listen to it.

  • yeah bella donna this whole concert use to be a video but they dont make it anymore its her at her best why its not a dvd i dont know

  • There are very few Stevie DVD's available anymore that I know of, sadly. But there are tons of FM ones..just not in stores.

  • preciosas las dos

  • It`s a great song.

  • thanks for this video !!

  • life changing ...x

  • Sara is my all time favorite Stevie song. Anytime I was upset about something, I would listen to Sara full bast, and I'd feel so much better. I love the long version the best. The more the better. Thanks for posting.

  • thank you stevie for giving us this beautiful song.

    i love stevie

  • I Love her. How God has Gifted her so. Thank you so much for this. I'm jealous and can't help but to admire her for everything she has been through, receive her endless Gift of Love and praise her and pray for her, accordingly. May you always Live soaked in Love, Stevie.

  • Unica69, I love and totally agree with Your comment. :))

  • Well said Unica, what a lovely words... you are Great.

  • PLZ!!! MS. Nicks blow's all other's away.

  • I'd love to know when this was... what year? could anyone tell me?

  • Yeah. Very Early 1980s. Stevie touring ouring for Bella Donna album. Sara was originally a fleetwood mac song from tusk in 1979. hope that helps.

  • Stevie Nicks at her most sexiest in my opinion. Damm I loved the way she tantalizes and shakes those firm hips and butt

  • They should have played this on The Dance. Duh.

  • Uh..hot.

  • Was she hot or what?

  • Gorgeously hot! HOT HOT HOT HOT HOTHTO oMG FUKING HOT

  • One of my favorite songs in the history, and it's the ONLY song liking me really in this band.

  • Man, it makes ya wanna cry . . . I totally miss the heydays of S.Nicks and a handful of other amazing, SUPER-ICONIC rocker chicks who were so beautiful, sexy and larger than life on stage . . .

  • Love your comment! I just saw Miss Stevie Nicks live the other night and it was magical and mystical! Add Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) to your list too!

  • ME TOO! sexy, classy, loving, sweet, sincere, and TRUELY TALENTED. TRUELY A MUSICIAN FIRST! what happened to rock and female artists?

  • pop idol and you tube. These day,s u can make a video of you singing in your bedroom and your a star if you get views enough, not the same tho ;-))

  • I love her so much. Her voice is the perfect sound! No one can ever sound that gooood!

  • yeah i am under her spell!

  • :46 the way she sings "fire" gives me the chills... wow.

and what the heck is that smile at :58. such an enigma....

    I love her.

  • that smile was for jimmy iovine who had come onstage...her boyfriend at the time.

    totally agree she was magic.

  • You obviously have some serious game about this vid! Love it! Tell me this, am I right about the following:

    1. Bella Donna 1981 HBO Special?

    2. How do you get a copy of the show?

    3.She's sober, right?

I tell you later why I think she's sober later. And when I say sober, I mean nothing-like in recovery...treatment center etc. Let me know.

  • This is my favorite Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks song, and I thank you so much for posting this particular version....Cheers!

  • Thanks for sharing this lovely song!

  • i would love to have someone "undoing the laces" of my shirt! : ) kat

  • I just saw her perform this last week in Boston along with most of Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits.

    The concert was magical!

  • I can't believe you...

    aren't you lucky bro...

would have liked to be there ♥

  • i would love to drown in the sea of love!

  • so I would...♥

♪♫♪And it was just like a great dark wind

Within the wings of a storm....♪♫♪

  • Good friends that know a room only you can understand with them. Comfortable, safe,............ feeling is good to be back.

  • Funny how stories are told about Sara...so many of them!

The original song "Sara" was 16 min. long, Stevie wrote it in one night.

Sara was written about a few people in Stevie's life at that point.

Sara is so to speak the Stevies Muse,

'But when you build your house, then, call me home' She is referring to Don Henley.

'And it was just like a great dark wind' refers to Mick

'The laces, undoing the laces.' refers to Micks shoes.

As you well know, Stevie in this song is my favourite ♥

  • My # (1) VIDEO OF ALL TIME!!!

  • welcome to the club of the Stevie lovers...

  • Thank you. Well I had the honor of meeting Stevie on 10.01.2001 after the last show of her TISL tour; my dream come true. She told me a lot of stories about a lot of songs but the night is like a haze for me; its hard to remember it all clearly, like a dream for sure

  • CyberManin, I see your comment was from 6 mos ago, sorry so late...I always thought 'Sara' referred to Stevie's great aunt. A lot of people on these video blogs writing what it's about....your comment sounds right, wondering how you know, did she ever say in interview, etc. Thanks :)

  • I understand that the opening lyrics refer to the abortion from the perspective of the aborted child "said you'd give me life, but you never told me, about the fire (abortion)." Some say that Don Henley was the father (building the house). Then the song takes on several other meanings of course as many of her songs do. Some say that "Sara" was the name of the unborn child "you're the poet of my heart," and others say "Sara Fleetwood" inspired the name.

  • You can tell she is having alot more fun/freedom doing this song with her solo band.

  • Hi ! I've knew that in fact, "Sara" was Stevie Nicks best-friend, and that this song was for her, cause at a period when S.Nicks wasn't in a good form, she wanted to see her friend, that's called "Sara" in the song, but she couldn't saw her cause she was already dead cause a kind of cancer. I've searched some informations about Fleetwood Mac, and saw that ! Awesome song, thanks for sharing it. BYE !

  • Sara Recor didn't die of cancer, Robin Anderson did. And she wasn't dead when "Sara" was wrote, or during this performance. She didn't die until late 1982. Also, Stevie has stated many times that "Sara" is about many people in her life at the time, not just Sara Recor.

  • Hi ! I've just written what I've read , and what I've had with Google , whzen I was searching to know more Fleetwood Mac's story, cause I've always respect Stevie Nicks. You seem to follow this band, so perhaps are you right, I won't tell the contrary. It's just what I've read. The fact is that I really like this band and regret not to have seen them. 5* for this video, without hestations ! BYE !

  • trop fort génial ça au moins c'est de la musique

  • Bien dit cpc, Stevie a inventé : Attitude is everything....

    Merci de ton passage. ♥

  • This song takes ages to get used to with the remastered version on an iPod.. the effects are confusing at first but then it just makes it even more amazing.

    Stevie is an inspiration.

  • In one of Stevie's bio's, Don said taht he was building his house when she wrote this song. Its about Mick, Don and an "apparent" abortion

  • awsome singer! beats the hell out of the teenyboppa singers of today, way more class and talent.

  • I agree.

her charisma is palpable, we feel the reality and the consistance of this song, everyone in his own life has had a history (hope so) like the Sara one, which can feel the reality through the eyes of Stevie when she fixes the camera....

  • it was during the *Bella Donna* tour in Dec 1981.

My girl friend was wearing the same dress than Stevie... nice to remember that ♥

  • Hey when was this ?

  • The most beautiful song ever....

  • i would love to drown in the sea of love!

  • I dont care if its Don Henley, Don Knotts, or Donald Duck. Stevie is great.

  • bless you!

  • saw her in a documentary years ago she spoke briefly about her relationship with don henley; she said the relationship produced more than they were ready for; and sara was a song that reflected on that time in her life. if you look close ;five minutes into the song she looks on the verge of tears for a minute. note her very last words she sang even after walking off stage.{i love them; a remarkable band..}

  • she should've kept Don! she said that he always treated her like they were married

and once even had a plain pick her up

and take her to where he was!!! and he writes such beautiful songs too! Stevie why!? :(

  • Her voice is so amazing! So distinct. She'll always be awesome!

  • What a great song and a great performance by Stevie! I have always loved her unique voice!

  • Stevie is so gorgeous...it almost hurts to look at her!Beyond stunning imho What a voice What a Woman

  • This song will go down in history!!

  • Very nice, I love that performance, what a great band to grow up with, fun memories!
