  • Should do like 3 reps or something

  • He definitely has a boner at 0:52

  • ready! -TCCHHHHH!!!

  • What is the proper order of doing exercises: free weights, dumbbell, barbell, cable, machines?

  • @HunterSlayer1984 I'd say. barbell, dumbbell, cable. Because I do power with barbell and muscle dumbbell. I guess that's what really matters. Do heavy compound exercises first and any isolation exercises last. Compound exercises with dumbbell or barbell are the most important exercises

  • Comment removed

  • @HunterSlayer1984 heavey compound exercises first. I don't think anyone goes by order of equipment. It depends. If your working back and bi you could be doing mostly cable for you back and then bb or db for your bi's...chest and tris will have you using bb or db on you presses and then cable flyes and the back on free weights and late cable for tri's. Just remember the big muscles first

  • Or you can just drop them on the floor and scare the shit outta other gym members like a real man.

  • Justin Beiber is bigger than this dude and yes I can talk.

  • I did this and knocked myself out. I'm in the hospital typing this comment up on life support. ;(

  • @DivineForcesBro Do you type whilst asleep then? I'm sure being on life support means you have a mechanical ventilation machine and feeding tubes. Thus you being in a coma.

    Well done sir.

  • Ahh I see... Never tried it with all the momentum, i struggle with getting the 110's up I hope this helps!

  • @vteckicksarse clearly.. your just retarded with eye judgement

  • are those pounds or kg weights??

  • Did you get your GED?

  • Now demonstrate with a shirt on. Who works out at a public gym with no shirt on? You get your ass thrown out.

  • @titfucker1990 he is a personal trainer in that gym and its obviously closed you pathetic cunt. I bet your wife wears a burkha doesn't she.

  • what brand is those dumbbells. They look so safe

  • What brand is his dumbell bench?

  • ttsshhhiiiiiiiiiiitt

  • That's for people who don't have their own personal bitches to assist them with putting the weight up. lol

  • Dang he's demonstrating with 80's.. What im doing right now is 65's =/ hopefully in 2 months or so ill be doing 80's

  • while doing incline dumbbell press, is it best to flatten out my lower back when i'm lifting? I'm finding on my last few reps it really arches out, is this bad? when i flatten it, it makes the rep much harder to do.

  • @raid123hero Its not bad to arch, i actually recommend to keep your lower back in natural position. And its not flat, its litlle arched. Exp. if you stand straight, your back isnt completely straight, its curved and arched a little. Thats the position you want to keep in incline press.

  • @Jokk3asd wrong. Ask someone to take a picture of you while arching your back on an incline bench. Your body is going to be parallel to the floor. What exercise do you do when your body is parallel to the floor? Flat bench. The only difference is that your back is stabilized with a bench underneath so you're risking a serious lower back injury. Don't arch your back, lower the weight, and maintain proper form. Working out is about health, not pushing around weight.

  • @Justdaman411 Hey, ask someone to take a picture you without shirt standing straight. See you back, is you straight, no. Its a little arched, it has curve in it. Thats the natural position, if you go to incline bench with flat back, and use heavy weight, say goodbye to your spine and vertebra's. Think about it, which is better? 1. To keep your back flat relaxed and let all the weight to rest on your vertebra's. 2. To keep your back in natural position and you lower back muscles tight..

  • @Justdaman411 BUT that is only my opinion. :). But you got point there. You definetly wanna keep that exercise inclined. Do dont arch your back too much. Just a little bit. Try it, you feel it if it dont work for ya. Im a tall person 6 foot 7. And for me, its the best way :) no hate bro!

  • IT WORKS WONDERS AND I LUV THE PART WHERE I DONT NEED A SPOTTER TO HELP ME GIVE THE INITIAL PUSH.THANKS!!

  • This is fucking obvious you don't need to post a video about this, god you're an idiot scott.

  • @seanyo82 you're the idiot sean for being rude without reason

  • @seanyo82

It isn't obvious, I'm glad he posted it because I was struggling with this technique.

  • Would have been better if you said "Six Star for this trick" :P

  • YOU FORGOT TO THROW THE DBs ON THE FLOOR. CAN I BUY YOU A SHIRT? TOO COVER UP THAT PATHEDIC CHEST.

  • @510RFL why wouldnt he throw them when there is no one around in the gym? and i dont even know what to say about "that pathedic chest"... you're a fucktard.. deal with it instead of commenting shit on videos like this one.

  • 1 rep?!

  • @DragonDude180 Omg..

  • Tricks, your a goof ball, dic head

  • this guys quite strong most instructors wouldnt show you this exercise with 80 pound dumbbells!

  • "Tssssscchchhhhh" Dude sounds like an Espresso Machine

  • the proper way to put the weights down is to slam them and scream AINT NOONE IN THIS GYM GOT A CHEST STRONGER THAN MINE! haha

  • @uninc2684 I did that in my gym and someone punched me in the face.

  • @bariamo999

punched you? hell I got kicked out of the gym.

  • @bariamo999 probably bcs u were black

  • @bariamo999 Someone really hit you? Liar nobody would do that...

  • @uninc2684 thats the worst, actually everybody hate those kind of idiots

  • @uninc2684 LMAO

  • @uninc2684 I used to do that in my gym but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @GiefGoldPlx im glad someone responded to my comment with this because i have been seeing it around youtube and dont know what it means. Can you please explain it to me?

  • @uninc2684 It's just something a lot of the characters on Skyrim (computer game) say as they're storyline. Look it up on google. I find it funny even though I don't have the game nor play it.

  • @GiefGoldPlx what's up miscer

  • I wouldn't recommend throwing yourself back with 80 pound weights in your hands, it's to ballistic and very unstable. A better alternative would be to have the dumbells are your lower chest and lean back slowly..

  • @NoStruggleNoGain your right I used to do that and pulled a muscle :(

  • @iamjohnyboy It's common sense, you have 80 pound dumbells and the momentum [ Weight + speed] so a total of 160 pounds plus the velocity as I cannot give you an adequate amount since it's not measured, not to mention this pressure going on a ball and socket joint and the weakest one as well your shoulders... which is involved in numerous amounts of weight lifting... I bet you my left testicle this guy has soft tissue damage in his shoulders, maybe chronic or acute pain.

  • Great video! thank you so much, I can never find a good spot to help me kick up the weight now I shouldn't have that problem (I hope :P)

  • BARBELLS vs DUMBELLS for chest development anyone?

  • What is the difference betweene incline dumbell press and flat ??

  • If he worked out as much as he talked he would be bigger.

  • @Irnwkr28 Scott Herman doesn't want to be gigantic. He looks amazing as is. He does 125lb dumbbells 8 reps 3 sets....People look better when their muscle is balanced and not out of proportion. That's why Scott is a better role-model vs Ronnie Coleman etc etc.

  • -Anyone that could explain to me why I should do 6-8 reps instead of 12 reps (for muscle gain)

A friend of my father's used to be ripped back in the day, he did everything 3 sets and 12 reps

I however doubt this works, anyone could explain to me in facts what the difference is?

Btw, I'm 17, is it too early to for me to start using shakes?

  • @Xeando do as many as you can without doing more than 12 reps (unless you are aiming for a tone body by doing high reps with low weights). if you cant do 6 reps at least then you are probably lifting too much...... its always good to have someone spot, to help you push for that extra rep.

  • @Xeando no it is not too early to use shakes. earlier the better imo. and when u can only do around 6-8 reps that means the weight is harder. if u can do 12... that usually means the weight is too light and ur not pushign ur self as much... if ur fathers friend alrdy had the body he wanted, he was prolly doing reps to maintain and to get cut. more weight less reps for bulk faster weight gains. u will still get bulk if u do reps but not as fast as if u push ur self with heavier weights.

  • you can be my black kate moss tonight

  • First of all I want to know why 20 people dislike this. I guess they are not into fitness.

  • @WhoIsNC the only thing they lift is burgers.

  • @kris130186 fuck you

  • @smallkidsinvids take a walk

  • one of my fav' exercises

  • Forget about putting the dumbbells on your knees. If you want to get a better chest workout with dumbbells, check out the Smart Bench For Dumbbells™ by

    R W J Extreme Fitness.

It's a weight bench specifically engineered for holding dumbbells in proper starting position. You no longer have to place dumbbells on your knees and risk injury while trying to get into starting position.

  • @toolbagcentral

    lol weak troll is weak

  • Instead of that full-body lurch to launch the weights up, an upward thrust of each leg (one after the other) will propel them high enough for you continue raising the weights and lock out, ready to begin the lift.

  • woah guy getting all political on me, im not tryna brainwash anyone thats just my opinion its not like im goin around yes on prop 8. Child molesters, rapest, etc. are a different story... as for my nasty ass homoerotic comments i guess its just the way you take it although none of it was directed toward you. Your perseverance for trying to prove a point engaged me to comment back and for libs what do you expect i live in the bay area

  • @toolbagcentral Go say your BS to some other troll like yourself! Scott is actually helping people ;)

  • Tshhhhtsss

  • Dude you almost got killed by those dumbells just try to be cool u can't handle them you hardly did 1 rep lol and it was too wide open you could hurt your muscles that way and no i wont give u 5 starts for that ridiculous trick pathetic.

  • @Omnislashlol You're an idiot. He handled those 80's like they were 40's. I bet he could do 10 reps with that weight. NIce work Scott

  • scott i was wondering if you have any workout programmes for your chest at home, i work 50 hours a week as a physiotherapist so find it difficult to get to the gym as often as i would like.

thanks for the tips as always mate!!

  • herman do you always workout with your shirt off or do you just do it in your videos to motivate viewers?

  • @musicjunky91 you sound turned on

  • @jf1gd2 oh you know it, im sooo turned on big guy

  • @musicjunky91 oh, ok, now that you said that we dont think youre gay anymore. nahhhhh.

  • @jf1gd well theres nothing wrong with gays... but why dont we stop focusing on me and concentrate more on scott hermans workouts thats what this youtube video is about

  • @musicjunky91 thats what libs try to brainwash us into thinking. and if were gonna concentrate on his tips then dont post nasty ass homoerotic comments!

  • i bet i bench more than scott herman, and just had surgery on my right shoulder in december

  • Much easier to socialize and have a spotter grab your wrist and help you

  • Scott, it looks like your elbows are out wide, and you didn't retract your upper back. I suggest you make the videos longer and teach people how to not wreck their shoulders.

  • Thanks Scott! I have improved my workout because of you! thanks!

    - Greetings from Norway

  • Damn dude.....you look ridiculously out of proportion with those 11 inch calves, LOL!!!

  • thanks! thats gonna save me a crap load of energy concidering i always lift them up from the floor and it sucks

  • 80 pounds!!!!!!!!!! -___-

    i'm only doing 45 :(

  • @dmix09 im only doing 30 lol.....

  • Hey that's nice !! I like that trick !! I have a problem bringing the heavy one up, so this is really helpful !!

  • are those 80 pounds?

  • is this 50lbs or kg hes lifting?

  • @itscalledhardstyle 50 nothing, 0:36 it clearly says 80, i'm gonna guess lbs, 160 lbs sounds reasonable, especially since he's only demonstrating.

  • i swear, i hope this scottherman guy is a billionaire because he's just about the only person on youtube uploading videos about TECHNIQUE. I see so many vids just explaining what an incline press is, and giving some tips on form... but for those people pushing heavy weights, we need instruction like this to advance!

  • hai there scott... i need to know whether doing incline press really helps reduce those man boobs! is it true? this info could really helps for those guy in between the overweight and slightly overweight..it would be awesome if u could reply this.. chhers! p/s: ur doing a fantastic job in changing people lives no matter where they are!! keep this up scott..

  • @JVL8701 man boobs will not decrease w/ inclines. diet, meaning proper diet + cardio w/ a correct weight program will help your moobies.

other notable - incline should be roughly 30 degrees, save your shoulders for shoulder day, no benefit to steep incline in terms of chest development, it wil just overly tax your anterior deltoids.

  • yeah way to blow a shoulder , awesome tip :)

  • Is the below also applicable to doing dips more than once a week? No matter what im hitting I always finish my session with 3 or 4 sets of parallel bar dips (my own weight). Should i just do them on the day I do chest and triceps?

  • @MrDampkring only do dips when you do chest, and hit chest once a week, its all you need

  • @pumpmctank Thanks! Also another question. I get tired quick when I always drop set. I read somewehre that maybe only 30% of your workout should be drop sets so maybe the last 2 of any given exercise or should I always aim to drop set every set?

  • Flat DB Presses are great for thickness, Incline Presses and Flyes for Width/Thickness Upper Pecs...

What do i need to do to develop my lower Pec region..Decline Presses???

  • Angle should be much more less...to impact just on your upper pecs...

You are doing almost flat bench press..

    no offence..

    :)

    thats just my view...

  • @rahull4vids He has about a 45 degree angle. That's perfect. If it was any higher, he'd be hitting mostly his shoulders

  • Hi Scott, i Really like your workout. I've been doing them for 2 week now. And i'm trying to figure out witch part of the body should I combine. Should i do Chest on day 1, shoulder on day 2, legs on day 3, back on day 4 etc... Do you have any video or any good advise for me ? Thanks you

    Cheers to workout, Alex

  • i do a full body workout every other day ( rest 1 day between) i work all the muscle groups with one exercise per muscle group and only 2-3 sets per exercise....im not overtraining am i? i've gained 10 lbs but lately haven't been gaining any lbs
