Thank you so much for the insite!!! I did my first power wheelie today!!! Got up about 2ft. Will practice more in a safe area. I have a 04 gsxr-600 and always wanted to do a wheelie. Thanks again.
well if you don't by a GSXR you will have enough power you won't need to preload your front suspension (bounce it) to bring up the front wheel in first gear
That is such shit advice. If you have a decent sized bike (i.e. 600 cc or bigger) you wont need to physically pull the bars at all as you do a wheelstand. And you dont need to power off before you crack it up. On my zx6r I just roll on with the power and then crack it at about 8500 - 9000 rpm and it pulls up easy as. The next step for me is hooking 2nd...
@Lackaffenbelustiger I think alot of these stunt guys are sponsored by local bike shops who cover them when they break something....this is why the rest of us should buy a stunt cage and frame sliders...
It ain't our fault that you are such a dumbass that you can't drive anything with less than 4 wheels............ don't take it out on the bikers blame your parents, dumb shit
and all assholes like you are pussys who can't ride a bike and does'nt even have maturity to drive....respect for the all riders, drivers and anyone who has the privilege to drive any type of vehicle...
This dude must be on a 600. Try that technique at 7,000 revs on a CBR1000RR and you'll be on your ass in a heartbeat.
He should also warn newbies to cover their rear brake. If you inadvertently get too much air and you're scaring the shit outta yourself, you can easily bring it back down with just a touch of rear brake.
Great video's man really appreciate it. You said do this in first gear, which i will to start... But can i do it in like 3rd gear if i do the same tactics? Explain. :)
You can't really do that becuz there is less torque in 3rd gear.On a 600, I'm thinking you will have to twist to the stop, to get it to power wheelie out of third. With a 1000cc bike you may be able to but you will have to crank the throttle and "bounce" or snatch it at the same time.
if you had a two stroke dirt bike hell yeah but not a four stroke race bike. two stroke have a powerband and four strokes dont really have one, it's more evenly spread over the whole gear.
i brought it up with more comfortability with the power on my 600. i'm learning my clutching and it'll be more reliable as i become more comfortable. first time i brought it up with the clutch i almost flipped it though so be careful

If you're riding a 600 it takes a little more effort to wheelie however don't pull the bar back like how this dude is telling you. Just get about half way up the RPMs, close the throttle so the front goes down and right as its bouncing back up crack that throttle open and you have yourself a power wheelie. Of course the other alternative is just step it up and get yourself a 1000cc bike and open up the throttle, you'll be power wheeling all day long with no effort.
if your just learning wheelies dont listen to this guy .... time your front suspension to lift up the front end instead of yanking back cuz that just takes way to much effort just to get the front wheel off the ground the way i learned power wheelies i have a gixxer 600 (may differ with cc) start out in first gear get up to about 25 mph pretty quickly let off the throttle let the forks compress and as they uncompress and bounce back crank back the throttle & the forks will yank the bike up 4 u
check out my video of me on my 750 doing a wheelie ... i do the same thing first gear get up to 25mph fast let off the throttle yank back on it until you start getting comfy w/ the front end coming off the ground & feeling light and play with the throttle as long as you can til you run out of rpms and set the front wheel back down easy by giving it a lil more gas when its coming down. pulling on your handlebars can cause them to turn & you to wreck you can easily wheely even leaning forward
I know..... I Love me second gear stand ups and my first gears as well.
But he is talking about bringing up Slow wheelies. I just bought a stunt bike and am getting some tips on how to wheelie really slow. I do NOT use the clutch during regular wheelies but will be using it to bring up SLOW WHEEIES. It is the only way to get it up at this low of a speed.
@jeepcj7dude why do douche bags always want a thumbs up for what they say? really whats the point? is your life so pitiful that youre forced to get attention on the internet? and dont point out that im a dumb ass cuz i dont use proper spelling or grammar, again douche bag move.
Why do little rap loving bitches always talk about shit like they are so HARD. Are you really balck and live in the projects? Or..... are you a little WIGGER???
I mean look at your channel........ HAHA whaty a fucking pussy!
@jeepcj7dude yes i like rap music. i like any genre of music because im open minded. I guess to you everyone who likes rap must be a nigger or if they arent black, a wigger? im asian so why would it be wigger any way? how did I come off as HARD?! i stated that youre a douche bag for correcting this guy because he said rpm in the plural incorrectly. im in the military also, deployed already so dont think im a pussy either but yeah, hey good job on proving me right about you being a douche bag.
this vid is fail. The whole point of a power wheelie is to let the bike's own POWER lift the front end, not you pulling it up. Basically people, just red line your bike in like, 2nd n change gear really fast ive u have like, nyfin above a 250 n the front end will lift.
when did i mention a hayabusa? and if its doin 160 mph in second, and yet its a 6 geared bike, capable of what, 208 mph according to wiki, ur saying it would only b able to do another like, 50 mph wiv 4 other gears? i doubt it.Anyway, i was merely stating that for a power wheelie, u shouldnt have to lift up, it should do it on its own via its own POWER.
Also good video, from the more experienced riders i ride with, ive learned to pwr wheelie like this:
i.e 2nd gear on a cbr1000rr, hard on throttle, left of all the way quick to compress shocks, then hammer back on full throttle.
no offense but these are not dirt bikes and pulling up on the handle bars doesn't do anything but strian your tendons. Try this method even with a 600, and the you can pwr wheelie in 2nd @ 30+ mph no prob. On a dirt bike your arm snap would work bringing the bikeup.
If im doing a power wheellie, when i change to second gear, is the bike going to jerk up some more, or will it hold pretty steady? It seems like it maxes out 1st gear as soon as it is 'up' on my 01f4i, and i want to try to change gears.
I ride a 93 suzuki 750 GSXR I can power and clutch wheel, but I cant hold it when I power wheelie. I dont like to clutch wheel because the front end comes up way to fast.
i have 2x 02 r6, 15/51 sprockets. Any bike under a 900cc cant really power wheelie too well and sustain it. Simply because smaller cc bikes make peak torque @ 10000+ rpm. Which means your front end comes up too late to have any room to control power. It can be done, but it takes alot of skill. try a 1000, frist, second and third you can power no prob, saves your clutch baby!!
anything smaller than a 900 has trouble pwr wheelin, because peak torque is created @10000 rpm+, so by the time the front end comes up, your out of rpm to play around and shift. Can be done, takes skill. i ride a 02 r6 and love clutch wheels. practice in first @ 5-7000rpm and just get used to the front end coming up, get over that roller coaster feeling. and pop it up in 1st @ 5-8k rpm or 2nd @ 8-10k rpm( can wheelie aslong as want in 2nd) and if want to, knock into third and cruise.

NOT...
