I don't know how you get past the fans so easily.  It's one of the hardest bits of the entire game for me.

Just keep running forward and when you notice that you are starting to slip just turn more to the left, i.e. opposite of the fan, while keeping the forward key pressed (strafing near the very end can help as well). Do not try and solely strafe past it as you'll most likely get sucked in and shattered into a million pieces.

Thanks. I wanted to make it in HD so it would capture the true beauty of the world of Unreal. Just wait until I get to the Chizra Temple; goddamn that map is so awesome. :)

I agree that this game aged very well and still looks amazing 11 years after. And I think that with these videos succeeded very well in conveying your love for the game.
