Someone else pointed this out in another vid, but Taker really was like a lightning rod for lasers lights back then, wasn't he? There'd always be at least two red dots flitting across his face whenever he came out. Guess people were trying to make him blink or something XD
I admire Taker for the man he is. He never got his titles handed to him. He worked hard for each and every one of them! Kane was the same. I feel that both these two men got cheated too much of their accomplishments compared to others who got their titles handed to them easily.

WWF was really taking off at this point. However, as was pointed out by suckyamomma30, this was the height of the Monday Night Wars, WCW still had plenty of juice as well. In fact I was at Nitro in Rochester this very night, I couldn't wait to get home to watch Raw (which I taped). As someone else said this may be one of the more epic Raws of all time.
Man, this was the Golden Age of Professional Wrestling.
WWE are an expert of executing storylines like this but they are the only game in town and control the market.Until they are threatened they will stay i safe mode and to be honest they are making a healthy profit they dont need to go there.
Well WWE or Tna could do storylines like this but neither are willing to take those risks cause they are not needed.This was at the height of the Monday Night War when WCW was really pilling the pressure.

Didn't you see the original storyline. Kane has the same powers as his brother Undertaker. (Undertaker being the wiser of the two, that's the only way Taker beats Kane in all their matches.)
Rock and HHH were just coming up in the then WWF at the time.HHH was in DX just taking over Shawns old role and Rock was still with the Nation if i remember right.The Steve and Vince feud started first then everyone else was built around it or near it.Nearly every major star was either in DX or the Corporation.
Still with DX and the Nation and fueding over the intercontinental championship. Later this year (Survivor Series) Rock propelled to main event status as the "Corporate Champion".
yeah, among others, but well, we gotta consider a second thing as well, ever since Kane's first appearance at badd blood 1997, his pyro was already something difficult to do, more often than not, we'd see 3 corners light up, it took a while before they could get it completely right
Actually, what I think happened was that there were so many people in the ring that it would have been too dangerous to do his pyro. It even looks like Vince is trying to signal him that there's no pyro in the corners without breaking character.

No thought about it, And esp. When Undertaker had his VERY FIRST, not in 1999, but in 1998 when He sacrificed Stone Cold to the "Ministry". From that point on, I believe that's where Vince got this idea of "Ministry of Darkness" And BOOOOO Vince of for cutting Kane's theme here!!

The Rock was between The Nation and The Corporation at this point.
WWF was really taking off at this point. However, as was pointed out by suckyamomma30, this was the height of the Monday Night Wars, WCW still had plenty of juice as well. In fact I was at Nitro in Rochester this very night, I couldn't wait to get home to watch Raw (which I taped). As someone else said this may be one of the more epic Raws of all time.
Man, this was the Golden Age of Professional Wrestling.

WWE are an expert of executing storylines like this but they are the only game in town and control the market.Until they are threatened they will stay i safe mode and to be honest they are making a healthy profit they dont need to go there.

Didn't you see the original storyline. Kane has the same powers as his brother Undertaker. (Undertaker being the wiser of the two, that's the only way Taker beats Kane in all their matches.)

Rock and HHH were just coming up in the then WWF at the time.HHH was in DX just taking over Shawns old role and Rock was still with the Nation if i remember right.The Steve and Vince feud started first then everyone else was built around it or near it.Nearly every major star was either in DX or the Corporation.

yeah, among others, but well, we gotta consider a second thing as well, ever since Kane's first appearance at badd blood 1997, his pyro was already something difficult to do, more often than not, we'd see 3 corners light up, it took a while before they could get it completely right

Actually, what I think happened was that there were so many people in the ring that it would have been too dangerous to do his pyro. It even looks like Vince is trying to signal him that there's no pyro in the corners without breaking character.
