there is nothing crule about it. most teamsters take impecable care of there horse and they grow quite a bond with these animals. alot of them use them on off time for doing logging and many other pulling activities. it takes alot of trust to rida a big log out of the woods with to big horses pulling you along.
these belgians were incredible to watch. they sure knew their job. and boy were they ready for it. i couldn't tell you if they were over worked or not, but they sure were ready to try again every time, anticipating even. i never said it was cruel. i sure couldn't tell you if it was cruel just from watching a 16 second video either.
@devinej05 this is an amazing sport and the drivers take the Utmost care of their horses, this sport is not cruel in anyway and those who think it is simply know nothing of horses or the sport. dont pay them any mind, they are basing there responses on an emotional reaction and not with common sense.

i have 6 belgiums i USED to do pulling contests,i also have 2 pmu mares i rescued n another one i bought at an auction, which is a beauty 1/4 horse and no 1 bid on except a killer buyer now on my belgiums i know their limit, never once did i ever exceed their limitations, if the weight was to high i would rather opt out then risk any injury to my horses, by the way that horse i bought at auction was an older cross country jumper they got tired of so dontcha ya'll throw stones at glasses houses
