  • the playing was great, but the percussion seemed really weak. My conductor told the percussion to use the stick and not the head of the mallet to make a better sound. At 2:39 a lot of the playing was out of tune.

  • i played this song at my orchestra fest it was sooooo cool (but i got the part with playing 1 note on a string the whole song.....) this is cool i really wanted to take my cello and play with this video XD

  • why was mr. c conducting?

  • @PanicStar516 because it was a full-orchestra deal, meaning we combined the band and orchestra. Mr C conducted this song, and the orchestra director at the time conducted the other song we played (I can't remember which song it was)

  • Timpani isn't tuned correctly...

  • im reffering to the one in dallas.

  • is this Bowman middle school?

  • yes, but which one are you referring to? apparently there's more than one in the world ;)

  • beginning is way too slow and out of tune i think its way off u gotta kick it up

  • wow i can do better and well it was ok and well i play the bass and i can way more better well its kinda good

  • everything was really good except at 00:48 someone was flat. lol 5/5 though

  • ugh. the trumpets sound bad with violins..

  • WOW!@ My high school orchestra played this back in my freshman or sophomore year (1998/99 or 99/2000) cant remember honestly cuz school was so boring that all I did was get high. Luckily we had a band/orchestra director that knew how to inspire the uninspired with music like this and Aaron Copland for the marching band I found a reason to goto school and graduate... Damn this toon brings back memories!

  • hey, i didn't know there was a version for stringed instruments too.. this is cool

  • lol..we're doing this again this year. ^^

hopefully, mr. c wont conduct too fast

  • Which he did!! Or the percussion rushed.

  • well it wasnt as bad. last year, i could barely keep up.

  • Yeah, I rushed on purpose in the beginning, and I was 'in tempo'. I really think Mrs. J should've conducted us. >>

  • Thank-you very much. I'm a first violin at my junior high, and i needed to hear the piece put together. I have a test on it next week! eek! Do you have anything I should watch out for? (: thanks.

  • What instrument?? I could tell you violin part, I and II

  • its a little slow and needs bells and xylo but still sounds good

  • We could've done better. Mr. C was conducting faster than in the rehersal, and at the beginning, you could hear that it threw everyone off. And then we had to catch up to his tempo, and we didn't get it until about 1/4 into the piece.

  • You're right.

    hahaha. who is this?? XD

  • True

  • im in 7th grade and were doing this for our spring concert

  • i'm in 8th grade we're doing this this year for orch fest.

  • definitely played slow but it sounded good!

  • my marching band played this as our show this year! it was awesome

  • ....where are you from? cuz I'm in the Dallas area, and when I went to the drumline competition back in October, I heard a drumline play this. :)

  • I'm band and we were going to play this. It's sounds really cool with orchestra!

  • we r playing that for orchestra festival...we r only in 7th grade

  • this is cool lol.

our band playd it with a wind and brass orchestra so it sounds different. but its awsum!

  • Great sound, but kinda slow...

  • This was cool. I'm in 8th grade at bowman and in symphonic so that sorta sucks that i can't play full orcherstera.

  • do you know philip vann

  • Sounds great. You should check out "The Second Storm" Its like the song after "Into The Storm". I.T.S, T.S.S and another one "Lord of the Dance" Are my favourite songs in Orchestra that were playing.

Woo Violins rock!! Good work Guys!

  • YEAH GO VIOINS

  • just wondering, who is this?

  • O-o Uhmm...... No offense, but who are YOU? O.O

  • hmm...take a guess. someone female in the chamber cello section. oh, im also asian. still cant guess who i am?

    now, who are you?

  • I am someone surprisingly close to you. I am tall and have frizzy brown hair. I was a violin in Chamber. ;) Get it?

  • haha...still not sure. i have a guess though. french/indian?

  • OH GOD no, I would never be Milan. I am offended.

  • lol..i cant think of many people with brown hair that was there last year too....errrrrr....female? (lauren? :D)

  • DING DING DING! We have a winner, Charlenie.

  • lol, i thought it was somebody male at first. im sorry....

  • Hey I think we did pretty good!! Don't worry about the solo part Nychthmeron, you still sounded great! Btw, I'm a flute player too!

  • you're bday's Novemeber 25th? o_O

    wow....I didn't know that! XD Mine's October 4th. ^_^

  • Noo! I play the flute solo in the calm part - I totally messed it up and now it's on youtube! Gah! It sounds a lot sharper and amatuer with this sound. I thought we sounded a bit better that night...

  • uhhh...Amy? Is that you?

besides: unless people actually know how it's supposed to sound, I don't think they'll really notice (or at least not that much).

  • Thanks - it doesn't sound as bad as I thought it did when I played it, but I'm still pretty embarassed.

  • You did way better tha I would've
