  • Yes, there's no better sound for the money.... If you want to have an amazing drum kit just get mapex. Their blackpanther snares are the top in quality and sound.... For the toms I use evans ec2's and they sound insane... For the bass drum evans emad and for the snare evans or remos.... That's my preference!

  • what drum heads?

  • is hat the stock snare its crackin i like dat

  • such beautiful drums.

mapex and sonor create some of the most beautiful sounding drums ever.

  • they sound awsome and the bass drum sounds very warm and nice lovly kits

  • Mapex Saturn Pro Series baby!

the Mapex shell mounts on the Mapex is the most durable longlasting design out there. the Mapex Maple sound is un matched.. ( ok well maybe matched by the old Gretsch shells (when they werea quality product years ago)

  • I have been drumming for over 25 years. I am on my 4th kit. (I bought my FIRST Mapex kit 5 years ago) I AM SOLD ON MAPEX MAPLE!.... this brands shells are the best cleanest sound I have ever heard. the easiest drums to tune to a awesome sound you will ever find! with the Mapex drums I dont have to put ANYTHING on the heads OR LOAD THE BASS DRUM. to get the good sound. Oh and the 20" maple bass drum rocks! This is my first 20" and the first bass I have found I can leave empty and it is awesome!

  • love it !

  • sick i got 1 there gd

  • Lots of people own mapex kits

  • Are mapex good drum kits, where are they made ect

  • They are made in China, but here is the catch, the guy that owns it is Chinese and he own a portion of Remo Head co.

  • Thanks, they are great drums, tho, i mean hand made drums!

  • yes, Mapex are extraordinary drum kits. they are durable, and will last a very long time. they are made basically everywhere depending on where you live, such as France, Italy. Russia. i have a Meridian Maple Dark Cherry and its just ridiculously awesome. i suggest getting a Meridian Maple w/ AAX Sabian Cymbals, cuz that's what i have, i never heard such a drum set sound so good. it's expensive, but it's well worth

  • thanks man,at the moment I have a pearl forum fz.

It gets the job done, but i would like something a bit more professional like the mapex Saturn or pearl masters mcx. Both kits seem nice but the Saturn is a little cheaper and comes with all the gear.which do you think is better out of the two in terms of quality sound and value for money?

  • I'm a proud Pro M user for about 4 years now. I augmented my kit with a Black Panther phosphor-bronze snare (a bought it when pro m's didn't come standard with a split lug snare). I had a strict budget -still do. Hands down, there is NO BETTER VALUE than Mapex Pro M! I'm a proud American but let me tell you. The American drum companies better get their shit together. I'm not convinced that an American made Ludwig maple kit is any better than a Mapex Pro M (intermediate) kit.

  • I was playing a Mapex jazz kit that my dad's bands' drummer uses for practice sessions and I fell in love. Once I have the cash, I'm gettign a Mapex.

  • Mapex is INSANE. They are given the most bang for the buck right now. ddrum is good value too but im mad I bought mine becuase mapex surpasses everyone else in quality for the money.

  • @braino2000 right...but you should check the basix drums custom...very cheap and very good sounding drums...
