I'm sick of all these modern medical & hospital dramas. This historical one which looks into the lives, science, medicine & technology of early 20th-century medical care is very refreshing and fascinating, not to mention informative, interesting and educational. I watched "Casualty 1907" and loved it. I can't wait to see more episodes.
Very compelling aswell, its a very good drama I think.
But then as I think they may have stated in the previous series to the 1909 series was that surgeons back then where there as their standing in society, not their ability medically.
Thats really worrying to know back then, I think its incredible whats available now to dr's alike in research, all the journals they will read about cases of what their working in.
well then as know if they were no good they wouldent have passed the stringent exams in order to become a doctor or especially a surgeon but yes back then only the rich got to study medicine, interestingly stovaine is still used today its called amylocaine now.
but yes this series is very very good i always wondered what the athmosphere was like in a victorian/edwardian hospital and i reckon this sums it up perfectly.
I love this show, way better than the modern version.I'm a 39 year old west ham every day guy..so there's a real cross section of people who watched this i think !
Is it wrong that I have a raging crush on Mr. Dean? I know he's arrogant, addicted to cocaine and in possession of a rather fabulous-yet-awful Edwardian moustache, but I'm still thinking 'phwoar!'.
My life is a mess.
Great show though, so sad this Sunday's ep will be the last one!
liked iss inaa. especially th'on Saah Smart. wow!

Much better than the modern version. Makes you wonder what hospitals will be like in 100 years. Will we know more?

such a good programme only its a shame there is only like 6 episodes in a series :(
i think its great to look back and see just how different things were, and how the hospitals were so much cleaner back in these days.
role on Casualty 1910 :)
