And i never understood what the purpose was to be painting the cars and ramp a particular color! anyone know?

The painting is just to make the obstacles a lil more fun to look at for the kids. If you look at old monster truck footage, you'll see that the cars arent painted, and its kinda rough to look at. They seem less like junk cars when they are painted.
